Motorola T720i - a good phone, 7 years ago
Advantages: Good mix of features
Disadvantages: No camera on board, Screen poor quality, Build quality bad etc
...The Motorola T720i officially reaches its 7th birthday this quarter. Having been released in Q4 2002, it is now virtually completely obsolete but can still be seen in some films depicting the early 2000s. At the time of release it was a successor to the T720 phone, virtually of the same specification.
--- the BASICS ---
The T720i is a clamshell phone. It has 2 screens - 1 outer black and white screen and 1 inner colour screen. The phone supports basic mobile phone functions such as making and receiving calls, sending text messages in addition to more advanced but optional features such as MP3 player and a camera.
--- USABILITY ---
(Introduction)
As the T720i is a clamshell phone there is a flipping mechanism. It rocks - literally. The spring helps to some degree but one gets a feeling that the screen and the keypad will detach any...

Motorola T720
Advantages: big keys, lightweight, good build quality and java games
Disadvantages: games can drain the battery quickly
...The phone I was using before the T720 was a Nokia 8210, which I found very easy to use and also fit into my pocket without looking like I was smuggling bricks into the country. At the time Nokia was the only phone to be seen with, people would give you a dirty look if you pulled out anything lacking the Nokia symbol. Yet, Nokia?s weren?t different anymore, they all looked the same and felt the same, many other phone manufacturers were pushing forwards with new innovations, Bluetooth and colour screens were the new thing, and Nokia weren?t taking any notice.
So then I started to look for something new, the same day I had seen an advert for the Motorola T720, and almost instantly I fell in love. It was indeed a flip phone, but didn?t seem feminine, many flip phones I had seen tended to look curvy and sexy to suit a woman, but not the T...

Motorola T2288e
Advantages: Nice looking, not too heavy
Disadvantages: Bad menu design
...I have to say that I’m not overly impressed by this mobile phone. Don’t get me wrong, it looks nice and actually feels quite comfortable in the hand, but the software design within is dreadful.
Where I work, ringing mobile phones are forbidden in the office, so I have the ringing tone on silent during the day. This means that I miss most of my calls during the day. As you’d expect, there is a message on screen to say that I’ve missed a call. Great! But what I’d expect as standard does not happen. If you miss a call and are being told so, you would expect to be able to press a button and see the missed call details. I can’t say whether this is true of all phones, but it is true for all mobiles ever owned by me, my family or my friends.
So what does the Motorola T2288e do? Nothing...

Motorola T4502 Two-Way Radios
Advantages: Small, lightweight, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Uses 3 AAA batteries per radio, instead of a rechargable 'battery pack'.
...WARNING! -- LONG REVIEW!! -- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
~ Alternative title (that I wanted to use) ~
Motorola (from the makers of the V3 RAZR mobile phone) T4502 (Tiny4502???) 8-channel (or 8-frequency) PMR (Professional / Personal Mobile Radio). [It's too long for the box -- LoL!]
Wow, what a great little two-way radio!
I've had my Nectar Card for a good while and I am also a member of a survey company called "TNS" who award points for completing surveys and you can link your "TNS" account to your Nectar Card then get your TNS points automatically transferred into Nectar Points.
Recently the Nectar website (Nectar.com) did a 'Summer of Rewards' promotion where a handful of electrical goods were on sale (!! HALF PRICE !!) for a certain amount of Nectar Points. I saw that they had a two-pack (well I'm sure they had many two...

Motorola T720
Advantages: Flip case prevents accidental key presses
Disadvantages: Quiet ring tone, awkward texting
...I have used the Motorola T720 for around 6 months and I have found that it is not as good as I originally thought.
Good Points
First the good points - the battery life is good, it will last for 4 days with 2 or 3 calls and 5 or 6 texts daily. The flip case means that the phone can be put in a pocket or bag and not have the problem of phoning numbers accidently. You can download the usual games, ringtones and graphics to personalise the phone.
Bad Points
Now the bad points - the volume of the phone is very quiet, even on the loudest setting - I have missed countless calls because the phone has been in my pocket and I've not heard the ring - I now leave the phone on vibrate. Texting is awkward, the key presses required to start a new message is overly complex and texting using the internal dictionary is very frustrating...

Ring Ring the Motorola isn't bad
Advantages: small, easy to use, simple, stylish
Disadvantages: no blutooth/infred and small buttons
...A cute little phone! I had this one for 6 months and enjoyed it! If you need something simple to use, funky and styleish then this is your phone! I found it a very useful phone to have.
The big disadvantage was it didn't have infrared or bluetooth (that is why i had to get a new phone for a bluetooth handset) so that was a big disadvantage.
A good little phone but it would only be suitable for people who wanted just a phone to call from and have a couple of features. The camera is average but it is nothing special. It is a nice looking phone however.
It is small and compact and can be easily personilised for personnel use.
It is very easy to use but the buttons are on the small side and when texting it can get in the way. I always thought this phone was aimed at teenagers as it had alot of 'teenager' applications like...

*^*Motorola Razr*^*
Advantages: - Fine for contacting people - Screen is kept safe by flip function
Disadvantages: - Not very much memory - No way to improve memory
...A Motorola Razr is a light and practical flip phone. it isn't reccomended if you want to store lots of music/sounds/video clips, but for just making and recieving calls or texts, it is a very good phone.
*MEMORY*
The Motorola Razr's memory is approximately 7500 KB. This is enough to store one custom song and some other sounds/videos, but there is already some Motorola made ringtones on the phone.
*HEIGHT & WIDTH*
The height of the phone when closed is approx. 9.5cm, and is 16cm when flipped up to answer calls etc. The width is 5 cm approx, give or take a centimetre.
*APPLICATIONS*
It comes with a web browser ( which I think costs money but I didn't want to try it) , several games, office tools and multimedia. the games include; Billiards, Stepping Stones and another which I can't remeber as I delted it. The office tools...

Motorola Mayhem!
Advantages: Looks nice, has built in camera, 2 okay games
Disadvantages: Need credit to do a lot on this phone, bluetooth isn't good, low memory
...This was the biggest accessory for girls 2 years ago after "it" girls like Paris Hilton were seen with it. Of course I had to get it thinking that not only was it stylish but it had a lot of handy tools. I wasn't happy with what I got.
***The Phone***
Motorola describe their phone as "expertly crafted to deliver exceptional performance. Inside the stunning, ultra-thin design are advanced features like MPEG4 video playback, Bluetooth® wireless technology, a digital camera and more. And with the precision-cut keypad, minimalist styling and metal finish, the V3 has its own unmistakable look". But is it as dazzling as they are making out? Simply, NO! Razr seems to have difficulty with a lot of it's built in accessories like the Bluetooth and you'll often find that one Razr phone has different applications to the next. The phone is...

Review of Motorola T720i
Advantages: Small
Disadvantages: Cuts Out & Turns Off! Not Enough Memory. No Bluetooth or Infra Red
...What first appealed to me was the small size of this phone and its flip colour screen. However, the colour isn't as nearly as good as the photo they show in the shops. It's pretty poor colouring :(
The major problem with this phone is that it simply cuts out. Whenever I load Wap or a game, it freezes and goes all black.
I've had this mobile a year now, and it?s braking! Not very durable. The microphone is fading. Sometimes the person at the other end of the phone call cannot hear me, and hang-up because they think there's no one there... annoying!
Also, the aerial is unreliable. It shows no signal even in places where other users of the same network are receiving full reception.
I also purchased a game from Wap to play on my mobile; however, it cannot be installed because of the lack of memory present on the phone. It...

Motorola T2288, I missed this phone
Advantages: Simplicity of use, very durable and the size factor
Disadvantages: Quite lacking features by today's (April 2006) standards
...Thanks for a consumer site like this that enables us to pour out our sentiments on consumer products. Speaking of sentimental value, the Motorola T2288 was actually my 2nd GSM phone (many analog ones before that) purchased circa 2001 but unfortunately lost it in mid-2004.
If I had my way I would still be using it once in a while (I owned a Sony-Ericsson T230 briefly for almost 1 year--its not so easy to use--and currently am settled using a Panasonic X100 to try out new 'technologies' like a camera, polyphonic etc.). The T2288 wasn't top of the line for sure but I can attest to its durability, the Motorola way, when I accidentally dropped it to the floor a dozen times. My Nokia 3210 previously didn't even come close at least to that respect.
It's easy to use and I liked the idea that I'm gripping a medium sized phone...
