My Moulinex manual mixer

Advantages: Inexpensive, comfortable grip, effective, long-lasting
Disadvantages: Slight difficulty cleaning vents

...I bought my Moulinex hand-mixer around five years ago, for about £10. Previously I had had larger mixers, the kind that come with a stand and a bowl. However I had found some distinct disadvantages with this type of mixer: for one thing, they either take up a great deal of space on the kitchen work surfaces, or get packed away in a cupboard and then it's a nuisance to get them out. Then there's the problem that only one bowl (that supplied with the mixer) will fit the base, so if I wanted to mix two or three things in separate bowls, I had to keep decanting what was already mixed, and cleaning the bowl out. And if the bowl breaks, the mixer becomes useless, unless you can find a replacement. With some mixers it's possible to remove the main mechanism from the stand, and use it as a hand-held one, but I never found that this worked...

Review of Moulinex Supermix 150 compact

Moulinex multi moulinette - Kitchen magic!!

Advantages: Simple to use, value for money.
Disadvantages: can omly take small quantities.

...I have owned a moulinex multi moulinette (AT71) for several years and would say it was the most useful kitchen gadget I have ever owned. It is small compact gadget which takes very little space. I use it for all my chopping and blending jobs when preparing food. It holds up to 0.5 litre of fluid, up to 16oz dry ingredients or aprox 2 cups. Great for making breadcrumbs for your gratins, chopping vegetables, making savoury spreads,pureeing fruit, blending soup or I even use mine for grating cheese! It is extremely simple to use literally a press of a button, and as all ingredients are in a sealed bowl there is no mess from splashing etc.. It is easy to clean afterwards as all 3 parts (except for the electrical unit!) can be dishwashed or immersed in warm soapy water for cleaning. I have recently replaced my multi moulinette for around £30...

Great juicer

Advantages: efficient, simple to use, easy to wash most parts, looks ok
Disadvantages: noisy, large, washing the sieve, citrus fruits must be peeled

...Since I'm one of those people who resolves to be healthy every once in a while, I was very happy when my dad bought home the Moulinex Whole fruit juicer - it doesn't say the code on the front of the manual or the front of the machine so I had to use my newly juice sustained muscles to lift it up and read that it was the Ju500! When I first took it out of the box, it all looked very complicated (there are 9 separate parts: the large pusher, small pusher, reducer for small pusher, feed tube/cover, the sieve, juice collector, motor unit, pulp collector and brush) so the manual was very useful! The first thing to do was to wash all the removable parts and put it all together (this took me a good while). Before making the juice, I had to decide which pusher to use (the large pusher is just a fat stick that pushes the fruit down...

Kettle Called. I Said You'd Call Him Back

Advantages: 360 degree base, large capacity, fast-boil, easy to clean, sturdy.
Disadvantages: Wide spout a pain for pouring small amounts, relatively noisy.

A CUPPA IN 30 SECONDS

Advantages: Fast boil (one cup in 20-30 seconds), easy to clean element, see-though sides to see exactly how much water is in the Kettle.
Disadvantages: A bit costly, be careful not to pour the water too quickly.

...We needed to replace our kettle the other day, as our old one took the knock (overuse of course, probably by me), so my sister went out to buy one, and came back with a “Moulinex Lirys” out of Argos, for around £29.00. On first looks, this kettle looks rather big, ugly and awkward, but has the advantage of having a see-through side to it, which helps you see exactly how much water is inside and if you are in to that kind of thing, you can stand there and watch the water boil. Not being a total expert of kettles, although I do use them very often, I would say this is a pretty decent one, with a couple of decent options on it, although for the price it cost, I’d expect a few more, things like “actually making the tea for you and bringing it to your computer, with a packet of biscuits”, I am only joking...

Super Supralys, Sassy, sleek and scrumptious.

This makes it one of the bigger fryers on the market and yet is quite compact. At least it is certainly smaller than our last which was designed for a large family. To put the sizes in some perspective, a small size bag of frozen chips is usually 1kg. Juicy fruits

It just so happened Safeway had one on special offer it was a Moulinex costing £39.99. So it duly went into the trolley along with the special flour and yeast necessary to make the perfect loaf. It was very well packed but we eventually prised it free of its polystyrene and cardboard and washed the bowl and accessories as per instructions. Accessories include Bowl Mixer Graduated Beaker Double measuring spoon. Then the tank of the machine was cleaned with a damp sponge.
