CALL IN THE BOMB DISPOSAL TEAM
Review of Morphy Richards Turbosteam 42934 Iron by ANNJSEC

Advantages: 2 year guarantee
Disadvantages: TOO HEAVY TOO LONG - see op.

...for a fuse for my old one - the shorter, fatter and far lighter Moulinex (much easier to iron with) - as probably that's all that was wrong with it anyway. A woman's work is never done.....sigh ....sigh.....sigh.... Read review

Flippin dangerous
Review of Moulinex ACZ1P1 by flambards

Advantages: cooks fairly well
Disadvantages: Dodgy handle

...We bought this product last year when all the kids in the house were demanding chips for their tea. My other half 'the one who must be obeyed' purchased the moulinex deep fat fryer because she liked the colour (sort of a pukey yellow) Ever since we have had the fryer, the unclipable handle comes off nearly every time we take food from the frier. More often that not we get splashed with extremely hot fat. We have to make sure the children are nowhere near when using it. I keep threatening to write to moulinex and complain about it, but unless I can do it on the PC via email I probably wont bother.... Read review

Showing its age
Review of Moulinex DFB1 by BigCheese

Advantages: Long lived
Disadvantages: A few nooks and crannies are hard to clean. Not dishwaser proof.

...After fiftenn years of service, one of the oldest surviving of my kitchen appliances is finally showing its age. It has done stirling service over the years, mainly for mixing cakes, although it does come with a range of slices and whisks. However, over the last couple of years the plastic bowl has begun to crack and a few bits have dropped off, although the motor is still going strong. I think another year or so and it will finally have to be retired. My experience of Moulinex, however, would definately push me towards buying another one from them.... Read review

^^^^^I am what I DRINK^^^^^
Review of Moulinex BKD231 Juice DUO by noshaba_786

Advantages: Very smooth juice produced
Disadvantages: Requires very less cleaning

...My review is on the Moulinex BKD231 JUICER. This product was bought for me as a Christmas present because I love making juices. I normally spend hours crushing orange halves to make just about a glass of orange juice. With the new Moulinex BKD231 JUICER I have no trouble in even peeling the fruits. All I have to do is put the fruit of my choice in the 'tunnel feeder' and let the machine do the hard work. I normally add strawberries and guava pieces in and make a cocktail, it tastes delicious. The thing with fruits is whatever I put in and mix together, it will taste just as good as any other, remarkable. The price of this product ranges from £25 - £30 from stores, with the price increasing/decreasing around sale times. The colour of the juicer has been white, and if I correctly remember, it doesn't come in any other colour... Read review

Moulinex multi moulinette - Kitchen magic!!
Review of Moulinex T71(01)/ AT71P1 by sierraxstitch

Advantages: Simple to use, value for money.
Disadvantages: can omly take small quantities.

...I have owned a moulinex multi moulinette (AT71) for several years and would say it was the most useful kitchen gadget I have ever owned. It is small compact gadget which takes very little space. I use it for all my chopping and blending jobs when preparing food. It holds up to 0.5 litre of fluid, up to 16oz dry ingredients or aprox 2 cups. Great for making breadcrumbs for your gratins, chopping vegetables, making savoury spreads, pureeing fruit, blending soup or I even use mine for grating cheese! It is extremely simple to use literally a press of a button, and as all ingredients are in a sealed bowl there is no mess from splashing etc.. It is easy to clean afterwards as all 3 parts (except for the electrical unit!) can be dishwashed or immersed in warm soapy water for cleaning. I have recently replaced my multi moulinette for around £30... Read review

Very Useful kitchen gadget
Review of Moulinex Liquidiser/Grinder Food Processors by Tracy57

Advantages: liquidiser as well
Disadvantages: Flavours transfer

...I have a Moulinex Liquidiser Which if you do not put the liqidising jug attachment on becomes a grinder which grins coffee, sugar from granulated into either caster or icing sugar and a host of other things can be ground as well . so all in all it is a very useful peice of kitchen eqipment. I bought it mainly as a liquidiser but I now use it as a coffee grinder in conjunction with my expresso coffee maker for really fresh coffee as now I buy beans and only grind enough to make cofee for that day.It is reasonably easy to clean but find the coffee flavour transfers to other things I grind afterwards . I solve this problem by grinding a little sugar or flour after the coffee. It is safe because unless the lid is on securely it will not work It has been good value for money as it cost in the region of £20.... Read review

Ovatio 2 Duo Press - Not Bad
Review of Moulinex AAT3R4 Ovatio Food Processors by elvina

Advantages: Great idea gives you lots of products in one
Disadvantages: Messy to clean

...Earlier this year as a present I received a Moulinex Ovatio 2 Duo Press food processor, it is the first food processor that I have owned. It has all the usual food processor functions, it slices, juices, blends, mixes, shreds, dices and blends. Since owning it I have used it for slicing, mixing, whipping and blending but must admit that I do not think that it is “the best thing since sliced bread”. It has so many parts that you have to do a whole bowl of washing just to do one small job but that is not all sometimes I think that it is far easier and quicker to use my old methods such as whipping with my hand whisk and slicing with my hand slicer. There is certainly less mess with the old method and I actually think that they do a better job. I am intending to keep going with it but every time I think “do I really need to use it... Blenders for benders
Review of Moulinex AAN941 Optiblend with Mill Blender by sheff22

Advantages: Clean Lines, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Clip has broken already on one attatchment

...I received this product as a present for Christmas and have to say that I am quite impresed thus far. The Moulinex Optiblend 2000 comprises of a base unit, and 2 fittings. The first a Grinder, for Coffee, spices and seeds etc The Second a standard liquidiser It has 2 settings, a fast speed and a pulse function The lid can also be used as a measuring cup, and the jug has a 1ltr capacity, with both imperial and metric guides. After use the device is easily cleaned thanx to its smooth lines. I have so far used it to make soup’s and cake mixes and have been quite satisfied with the results. However, although I have not yet used the grinder attachment, one of the clips to secure it to the base unit has broke already, so I guess this model isn’t as durable as others. Having said that, its an easy to use entry level mixer... Read review

try the Chip shop instead
Review of Moulinex ACZ1P1 by Tracy57

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: Greasy, Smelly, Horrible chips

...My opinion on deep fat fryers is do not buy one. if you do eat chips which you should not do too often is use a chip pan or better still make it a treat and go to the chip shop as they are far nicer than anything that ever came out of my moulinex deep fat fryer. Even thought I changed the filters I could stil smell the chips cooking and the steam made too much condensation in my kitchen. It was very hard to clean. in the end I used to get an extension lead and cook the chips outside and that is were the deep fat fryer stayed until i decided that chips are not that good for me and if i really did want them The chip shops are the best so the dep fat fryer was put in the bin and I have never regretted tto this day. One more point to add I also found that grease collected on the area arround the dep fat fryer ie small spots on the wall... Read review

Coffee - quick!
Review of Moulinex Crystal Arome Plus Coffee Maker by Caro_R

Advantages: Quick, easy to use, compact
Disadvantages: A bit fiddly to clean

...This was received as a wedding present and before this the only coffee makers I had encountered were monstrous brown contraptions which took up half the kitchen, were used once for a dinner party and then left to gather dust for twenty five years. The Moulinex is nothing like that. It is compact and attractive looking and one of its best features is that the coffee is percolated straight into a round glass jug which you then use for pouring. It will make up to 10 mugs or 15 small cups-worth and a hot plate under the jug keeps the coffee up to temperature nicely. The simplicity of the machine’s appearance is matched by its ease of use. You just bung in a filter paper, bung coffee in one bit and water in another, switch it on and that’s it. What surprised me most about the Moulinex, and which is its greatest advantage, is its speed... Read review
