Mountain Hardwear Trango 3.1

Advantages: Reasonably light, quick to erect, roomy, four season.
Disadvantages: None

...An outstanding tent for all weathers. We have not yet used it to its full potential. Myself, husband and daughter regularly travel with this tent. We backpack and find it light and easy to transport in our rucksacks. It can be erected within minutes, is extremely stable with the added bonus of no guy ropes! Waterproof and capable of seeing out the worst rain storms. Comfortably roomy with sufficient storage space for rucksacks at the rear. Good sized front vestibule with good ventilation suitable for cooking in when the weather is bad. Too many inside pockets to count! Very good ventilation. Excellent after care service received from Mountain Hardwear after one minor problem of ink on label running when it was packed away wet and staining inner tent. Mountain Hardwear were extremely helpful and replaced the inner tent within...

The Blue Mountains

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: nothing

...This next review is on my time on The Blue Mountains National Park, located in Sydney Australia. A few friends and I had decided to hire a van and take a tour of the national park, as we had been recommended it by several people we had met along the way. I am usually a fan of national parks; it gives you a chance to take in the scenic view, it gives you a chance to relax and unwind if you have had a busy week, and you even get to see some wildlife. It?s a great experience, which allows you to camp overnight, whilst also have a magnificent driving experience. History & Park Info: The park covers 267,954 hectares, which included several mountains and rivers along the trek. The highest point of the park is Mount Werong (1,215 m), and there are some breathtaking views from the top. The area became a national park in 1932, and ever since...

Mountain Language

Advantages: Clear and important political message
Disadvantages: Direct, dim, and disturbing

...Mountain Language (1988) By Harold Pinter (1930- ) Mountain Language is a very short one-act play by the English playwright Harold Pinter. The first scene shows a young woman and an elderly woman as they go to visit one of their relatives who was accused of speaking the forbidden mountain language. The older woman was bitten by one of the dogs in the prison, and yet the officer and sergeant torture her and her companion with stupid questions and harass the latter sexually. We see in the second scene that the elderly woman was in the prison to visit her son. The woman tries to talk to her son with the mountain language she is used to, for she doesn't know the capital language, yet the officer starts jabbing her with a stick. Still, she manages to tell her son that his wife and three kids are waiting for him. In the third scene...

High up a mountain

Advantages: Great vocals. tracks
Disadvantages: One more ballad?

...**Introduction** This is the third instalment of my Yolanda Adams reviews after reviewing "Believe" and "Day By Day" which were two of the three Yolanda Adams albums I requested for review a couple of weeks ago. Mountain High Valley Low is the third and final instalment for now and was the the first of the three released in 2000 compared to 2001 for Believe and 2005 for Day by Day, So with the release of her latest album this year I decided to complete the three requested album reviews now. **Mountain High...Valley Low** This is Yolanda Adam's major record label debut courtesy of the Elektra label. With a major label comes major names and that's the same here with two major names from the world of Music. Joining her on the album is the phenomenally successful production duo of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis As well as Keith Thomas. This...

A "mountain" climb to the best!

Advantages: Easy listening, fulfilling, comforting
Disadvantages: Repetitive, predictable, too many ballads

...This is the latest album from Lonestar at the current time, and being a life-long Lonestar fan I have to say I was really dissappointed in this album. After two or three listens it went back onto the cd rack for a few months until i recently decided to give it another chance, afterall Lonestar have never dissappointed in the past so it deserved another go. I have to say, it proved me wrong, i guess it is one of those cds you just have to listen to a few times! The album start off with a great song, being the released single "Mountains" but until the middle of the album I felt it was "ok but good". The latter half of the album is much better. It is a very emotional album behind the lyrics - possibly too many ballad and slow-songs for my liking of Lonestar but all in all a good listen......given a few chances. 1. Mountains This is...

THE MOUNTAIN DRINK.

Advantages: NICE CITRUS FLAVOUR.
Disadvantages: TASTELESS WHEN HOT AND EXCESS SUGAR AND CAFFEINE.

...When I heard about the mountain dew drink, I was anxious to know the company responsible for the drink because it was a new drink. Later to realize that it is manufactured under the license of the Pepsi & 7up company. Normally my interest for fizzy drinks are now moving off but I still give them a little bit attention by drinking them occasionally but this mountain dew drink is a drink you will like to drink as an adult because as a caffeine content most people like me will like to getting the caffeine taste. Came in existence in the 1940"s in Tennessee the mountain dew I think came into competition with other fizzy drinks of recent. Actually, this mountain dew drink is banned in many countries do to the excess caffeine present in it and no wonder I cant actually drop this drink...

Ya-Hoo Mountain Dew!

Advantages: Tasty and refreshing, with a flavour that is unique.
Disadvantages: High sugar and caffeine content.

...Mountain Dew. A name not at all familiar to British audiences. However, should you ever venture into the land across the pond then this review may be of some use to you. My first impression of Mountain Dew on American shores was once I had landed at the Airport. There they stood, a line of bottles, shimmering an emerald green, coated in droplets of condensation in an ice-cold drinks cooler. Jet lagged and weary, I was in dire need of some refreshment. I dismissed my usually soft drink favourites without a second glance and reached for this strange foreign concoction. Here are my thoughts. Aesthetically, the drink itself is very appealing. The bottle is a vivid green, it's neck has been moulded into a futuristic swirl, which has the dual purpose of not only looking stylish, but also providing additional grip. The logo (having recently...

How dare it snow in the mountains!!

Advantages: Lots to see & do, easy to get to
Disadvantages: Not for the lazy

...may as well go to The Blue Mountains as we are only 30 minutes away. "Sounds great" so off we went. The Blue Mountains are approx 100 kms West of Sydney (60-90 minutes drive) and form part of The Great Dividing Range. This was an impenetrable barrier on the voyage of discovery and it wasn't until 1813 that they were crossed by Gregory Blaxland, William Charles Wentworth and a Lieutenant Lawson, along with four servants. By July 1814 a 47 mile road had been built and within six months the road extended all the way to what is now Bathurst, 101 miles away. They were originally named Carmarthen Hills and Landsdowne Hills in 1778 although not long after were renamed The Blue Mountains due to the distinctive blue haze surrounding the area. I must say that the name to me is a bit of a misnomer. To my mind they are neither mountains nor...

From the Holy Mountain - An Engrossing Middle East Travelogue

Advantages: An entertaining, engaging and thought-provoking travelogue.
Disadvantages: None to speak of.

...INTRODUCTION I came across the work of travel writer William Dalrymple quite by accident. I had arrived early for a meeting in London, and, spotting a branch of Waterstone?s quite close to my destination, I wandered in for a spot of window-shopping. The artwork on the front cover of From the Holy Mountain (FTHM) was what initially attracted me, but on picking it up, the subject of the book was not immediately obvious. The back cover was adorned by a number of gushing quotes praising the author, and the only clues to what lay within were brief references to Byzantium and Eastern Christianity. Having been brought up in the Armenian Orthodox tradition myself, my curiosity was thoroughly piqued, and with a quick glance at my watch to ensure I had some time, I dove in to the first chapter then and there. Intrigued by the opening...

A Tale Of A Forbidden Love On Brokeback Mountain!

Advantages: Beatiful Setting, Good Story.
Disadvantages: Deals with a controversial gay relationship

...Brokeback Mountain is a fictitious place in Wyoming that film director Ang Lee used as the setting for his 2005 blockbuster movie of the same name. Inspired by the Big Horn mountains and Tecon Peaks of Wyoming the film was actually shot 700 miles to the north in Alberta, Canada, yet in a paradoxical sort of way the success of the film which won four Golden Globe awards, including Best Picture has boosted the tourist economy of Wyoming and the tourist information office still receive hundreds of calls every week enquiring about the location of Brokeback. The story begins in 1963 and centres around the two main characters of the film Ennis Del Mar (played by Heath Ledger) and Jack Twist (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) who pick up a casual summer job herding sheep in the mountains and ensuring that they don't fall prey to the Wolves...
