...The ps2 is a great console although it is almost10 years old. It has alot of features that anyone can use with ease. On it you can watch Movies, Play games and also play online with people around the world providing that you can internet access on it. there are a wide variety of games available for it and they are also quite cheap. The playstation itself can come quite cheap with prices starting at £40 in some shops. You might also want to get some accessories for it such as the vertical stand, the eyetoy camera and the DVD remote if you want one. The only bad points about the playstation i would say are the fact that it is quite fragile and would break easily....

...The Playstation 2 has sold in excess of over 100 million consoles since it was released back in 2000. When orginally released the Playstation 2 was much larger in size than the slimline version which Sony released in 2004. I am going to look into what are the benefits of the new system and look at the good and bad features. Good Features The Slimline Playstation 2 is much quieter than the original console because it simply looks much better, the slim design is better on the eye and also it is less noisy as the console does not have a fan. Instead it uses air vents to keep the console cool. It does the job to be honest because I owned the console for over 2 years and it has never crashed or overheated. ...Well isn't this a nifty little device? Doesn't it get annoying when you don't have enough space to plug in more PS/2 devices to your PC? PS/2 is becoming obsolete now and sometimes you will get computers without ports for them, including one of my laptops. Another problem with PS/2 ports are that they are always hard to get to; not only will you never find one on a frontal port section (on the front of a PC case) but at the back they are always buried under wires! Also, people with less knowledge about computers would be unlikely to know what a PS/2 port looks like, but will probably know what a USB port looks like! Anyway, I was getting annoyed at my latest laptop for not having any PS/2 ports, since I was planning to use it for gaming and my favourite keyboard and mouse for gaming are both USB. PS/2 Slimline a real tonic from Sony

...I should start by saying that I am not part of the PlayStation generation, I'm 44 and my first introduction to gaming outside of arcades was awarded to me as the result of an on line competition when I won a good old PSOne (yes, people do win those draws), that was about 7 or 8 years ago I guess. About 5 years ago I upgraded to the original PS/2 and have enjoyed many late nights / early mornings gaming on that till about 8 months ago when it gave up the ghost. With the launch of PS/3 'imminent' I thought I could wait for that - but Oh No it gets delayed and delayed again and my patience runs out. Slim Shady Playstation 2

Advantages: sleek new modern design, lightweight, built in ethernet port

...After having purchased a standard sized playstation 2 console in 2001, I decided to sell my console on ebay towards the end of 2005 when the slimline playstation 2 console was unveilled to the world. Why did I chose to sell the console that had worked for the last 4 years, for a siver slimline playstation 2? The new slimline playstation two has been reduced in size from the previous version by 75%., the weight has been halved and the and thickness trimmed down to 2.8 cm, from 7.8 cm. Equipped with an integrated Ethernet port for network gaming, the new PlayStation 2 sets new standards in the fusion of design and functionality. The slimline playstation 2 has a new flip lid instead of the motorised draw. The flid lid is a little flimsy but I suppose there was no room for a motorised draw on the slimline version. Looks -wise...

...THE SOFTWARE The PlayStation 2 is the best console of it's generation and arguably the best of all time, with thousands of great games and a large back catalogue of PS1 games, you can always pick up a good game for a bargain. Just because the newer PlayStation 3 is out, doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy a PS2, Its at a cheap price and would cost you 150 pounds to buy the console, some games and get it hooked up online, whereas next gen consoles could cost up to 500 pounds (excluding the Wii, which would take about 250). What I'm saying is, it may be "last gen" but it's great, fun and best of all; Cheap! The PlayStation 2 is a must buy for hardcore and casual gamers alike, if you are casual, play EyeToy Play (camera and game costs 20 pounds these days). If you are hardcore, then God of War and Final Fantasy are great for you...

No PS/2 connector with Hela Grip Mouse

Advantages: Easy to get used to after a normal mouse
Disadvantages: USB connector!

...Mouse is Ok, although not quite as responsiveness as previous mice I've used. No instructions, but seems to work OK by just plugging in. I bought this mouse because I wanted a PS/2 connection not USB, which it stated that it had on seller's website [Ergoptions.com]. No PS/2 connector was supplied so I emailed Ergoptions, who said that 'the product has been updated since the website description was last changed, and the PS2 connector is no longer part of the box. We will however send you a separate ps2/usb adapter...' Although replying to my first email almost straight away, no PS2-USB has arrived and, like the other reviewer, no response from any of my subsequent emails. And the website has still not been updated. Product is average but not as advertised and seller's service is v. poor....

...Simpsons Hit and Run for the PS2 is a quite average game. You play the game as different characters through out, including Bart, Lisa, Marge and Homer, you complete different challenges to unlock new cars, get rewards or it may just be in the interest if the character in line with the story to complete the missions. You also come across other characters when completing missions like Doctor Nick, Mr Burns, Smithers and many others. The graphics in this game are very bright and cartoony, they are much a like the Simpsons cartoon graphics, they are much more square though which leaves the characters looking a bit different to the cartoon, the graphics arent very impressive, though they do not ruin the game either. I bought this game over a year ago for around £15, however I am very sure that you could get it much more cheaper...

Review of The Simpsons: Hit & Run (PS2)

A great PS2 game!

Advantages: Great fun with friends and really good price - get into the olympic spirit!
Disadvantages: Not as fun on your own

Most events incorporate this basic use of these two buttons and will require a bit more for example to press another button to throw or jump.
