  Canon Pixma mp 460 - Fantastic all in one

Advantages: lcd display, durability, optional Bluetooth connection, qualitys, speed, design, functionality, rich software, reliability
Disadvantages: could be litle smaller

Printed a number of pictures with it on an Ilford glossy photo paper and could not believe that they look so great. ...ugly in an industrial way but that was a popular style a few years back. It produced pretty good document and photo prints and the scanner was adequate for documents but not of a standard to copy photos. When coming to choose a new printer these were the characteristics I was interested in. It had to print to a high standard, the scanner needed to be better and I didn't want it to look like an ugly lump of corporate kit with attachments falling off all the time. Despite painfully setting up the fax functionality first time round I have never received or sent a fax using the HP, in fact I don't think I've faxed anything this century so that functionality was dispensable. Canon MP620 All in one Printer

Advantages: Excellent Phot prints, excellent scanning, wireless capability
Disadvantages: Slightly bulky, wireless can be tricky to set up

...I bought this printer a few months ago to replace an old hp all in one which had lasted for a long time and sadly the print quality had diminished. With a large amount of options on the market I shopped around and came across the Canon MP620. It seemed to have all the features I was after including scanning, printing, card reader, photocopyer and wireless networking. Please note there are 2 other similar models in the range and as far as I know the MP610 is older and not wireless but slightly cheaper. Alternatively the MP630, which is more expensive is also not wireless but is faster in producing more prints per minute. So far, since using it I can report that the MP620 is an excellent all round printer. Great quality prints and excellent scanning makes it perfect for my needs. Canon mp220 - good printer but unreliable

Advantages: 3 functions, borderless printing
Disadvantages: unreliable and not durable

...was decent - the ability to scan and photocopy as well as print was a bonus. The quality of prints was good although not excellent as far as photo quality is concerned. The MP220 was also capable of borderless printing which is an advantage that many other printers do not have. The printer takes one colour cartridge and one black one (the numbers 40 and 41 are the high capacity cartridges). All in all although when the printer worked it was half decent, the reliability and durability issues make it, in my opinion, not a worthwhile purchase....

Advantages: No seperate scanner unit. Seperate ink cartridges.
Disadvantages: you have buy your own bluetooth dongle.

I was suprised when the shop said "yes ok". After that I decided it was right for me. On getting it home, the unit was well boxed up and would be safe if you chucked it into your boot to travel home. Everything on the unit that would be loose or moved about were fastened down with what looks like orange tape keeping it in place. When it is on the desktop it looks quite chuncky but not out of place. It is finnished in silver and black plastic but does not look cheap. I bought it at the local Tesco Extra, after some research I found that they offered it at the lowest price, at £30. I also got 10% as they only had the display one left in store. Runs smoothly in video playback. Taking still photos is good 1.3 MP quality as well. Because it is logitech you know you are getting a quality product and a reliable one at that.
