I chose the MP77 because the MP100 has got a reputation of easliy breaking if you clash with your partner, and at £135 not may people can afford that to happen. There is so many things you can do with this Mp3 player e.g. change the brightness, sound, tempo of songs etc. However, if you are one of those people who likes listening to hundreds of music all the time, this mp3 player is not for you as it keeps just over a 100 mp3 tracks. Moreover, if you are looking for an MP3 player that views pictures, plays video etc this MP3 player is not for you as it's not a multi-media player but an Mp3 player. ...a lot of songs on, but saying that, this MP3 player can read MP3's and WMA's. So having all MP3's, it can fit on about 40-50, depending on the size, but that can be increased to around 100 songs, if you convert them to WMA, which the included software can do for you. The software it comes with makes life so much easier when transfering your songs to the MP3 player, and when re-ordering them and compressing them. Other features of this MP3 player are: Radio: It is a relativly good radio. Can pick up most FM stations, although not my favourite local station. Stores files: Can also be used as a memory stick, although I've never tried it as I have a memory stick/zip drive already. Voice Recorder: This is fairly good, although not tried it in awhile. ...This mp3 player is a great alternative to an ipod. If you want something a bit cheaper than an ipod and also a bit smaller and something to just use as a little mp3 player you can mess around with, rather than an ipod then this is for you. This one will only set you back about £30, and it has 2G, whereas ipods are 2gb for £100, so this really is a bargain. This also looks really good too, its shiny surface looks really cool and sleek, and its combination of blue and silver makes it looks ever so stylish. Also another great buying point of this, would be its brand name. this mp3 player is actually a Philips, a company which have been around for ages and you know make great high quality electricals. ...I got my MP-Rom as a Christmas presant and so far its the best little walkman I've ever had. I can transfer my music from my PC and when I get bored it can be replaced with what ever I like. You can also get all the latest tracks and stuff thats never released from the internet. It's 10 X better than a Mini disc, it never skips, crystal clear digital sound and it's smaller and lighter. Hard memory is the way to the future as it is much more reliable and eventually will be very cheap. Look at the past five years, we have gone from megabytes to gigabytes (think how many Mp3's can fit on a gigabyte!!!) One day not too long from now my prediction is that minidisc will be obsolete and people will have a pocket full of Flash memory cards, each containing the album of their choice.... Read review

...An Mp3 player that is like a young child at times! I first bought this mp3 player just before i was going on holioday, so filled it with my music. When it only had a few tracks on all menus would work well and there would be no problems however as it became closer to the 3 and a bit gigabites of memory that it actually has, it started to freeze and crash at times taking espically a long time shuffling songs! An other big problem i found when i took it on holiday is that i had to purchase the charger for it seperatly which was quiet inconvient as it was hard to track down. Saying all this though i still think this is a good mp3 player that is well worth a purchase!!... Read review

Lets start with the MP3 player: A 32meg memory (that’s about 1 hours worth of MP3 music), random and repeat functions and music styling (disco, blues, arena, etc…) make the MP3 function as good as any other player. The music quality is as good as any CD or Minidisc player, sometimes better depending on your battery life.
