Canon Pixma MP190 Good value, decent Printer

Advantages: Very good price, good print quality
Disadvantages: Does not come with USB cable to connect to computer.

...I have just bought and finished installing this printer, so I have decided to share my views on it. I bought it at the local Tesco Extra, after some research I found that they offered it at the lowest price, at £30. I also got 10% as they only had the display one left in store. However, as I bought it in store I did not get free delivery and had to carry it the 2 miles home, something I wont recommend if your arms get tired easily. It comes in a large box, and is well packaged so it does not rattle about in the box. You are provided with the Pixma MP190 printer, 2 ink cartridges (one black and one colour), setup CD-ROM, Printed documents and a power cord. Review of Canon Pixma MP190

Olympus FE-190- trustworthy but better money to be spent

Advantages: easy to use, durable, good quality photos
Disadvantages: expensive for the mega-pixel provided.

...I received the olympus FE-190 2 years back for christmas. At the time it was a very good digital camera, with a 6.3 mega pixel and the fetures to change the tones, with different settings, like portrait, lanscape and night mode. It also has the ability to film short movies. However at this time, and looking at the price the olympus FE-190 is selling for, i would not recommend it. Yes olympus is a very well known and loyal brand, but the FE-190 is only a 6.3 megapixel, and when the flash is needed, the battery has only roughly around 4 hours photographing time. Normally when there is natural lighting, the FE-190 takes crisp and lovely pictures, makes them more vibrant and seemingly full of life, which is ideal for family photos and to make memorable pictures. MP4 which is POOR

Advantages: The sound is pretty good
Disadvantages: The device is poor in every other area

...This review is for the Vega 4 GB MP4 player. Setup The setup for this device can be complicated. You are given the device in a box but you have to install the disc. The disc is quite tiny and it took me several attempts to actually get the disc to load up in the first place. Once the disc is loaded up you are then given this small application which you need to use to transfer your files over with. The problem is the application tends to lock up on you half way through the process of you actually sending the files over. The best route for you to get the files transferred over is by opening up the driver folder which you will find when you plug the device into the computer and copy and paste the files over this way. It does take a lot longer and can be frustrating but it is the only way for the files to be sent over...

It produced pretty good document and photo prints and the scanner was adequate for documents but not of a standard to copy photos. When coming to choose a new printer these were the characteristics I was interested in. It had to print to a high standard, the scanner needed to be better and I didn't want it to look like an ugly lump of corporate kit with attachments falling off all the time. Despite painfully setting up the fax functionality first time round I have never received or sent a fax using the HP, in fact I don't think I've faxed anything this century so that functionality was dispensable. Canon mp220 - good printer but unreliable

Advantages: 3 functions, borderless printing
Disadvantages: unreliable and not durable

...was decent - the ability to scan and photocopy as well as print was a bonus. The quality of prints was good although not excellent as far as photo quality is concerned. The MP220 was also capable of borderless printing which is an advantage that many other printers do not have. The printer takes one colour cartridge and one black one (the numbers 40 and 41 are the high capacity cartridges). All in all although when the printer worked it was half decent, the reliability and durability issues make it, in my opinion, not a worthwhile purchase....

  Canon Pixma mp 460 - Fantastic all in one

Advantages: lcd display, durability, optional Bluetooth connection, qualitys, speed, design, functionality, rich software, reliability
Disadvantages: could be litle smaller

Canon MP620 All in one Printer

Advantages: Excellent Phot prints, excellent scanning, wireless capability
Disadvantages: Slightly bulky, wireless can be tricky to set up

...I bought this printer a few months ago to replace an old hp all in one which had lasted for a long time and sadly the print quality had diminished. With a large amount of options on the market I shopped around and came across the Canon MP620. It seemed to have all the features I was after including scanning, printing, card reader, photocopyer and wireless networking. Please note there are 2 other similar models in the range and as far as I know the MP610 is older and not wireless but slightly cheaper. Alternatively the MP630, which is more expensive is also not wireless but is faster in producing more prints per minute. So far, since using it I can report that the MP620 is an excellent all round printer. Great quality prints and excellent scanning makes it perfect for my needs.
