Olympus E-510 10mp Digital slr Camera
Review of Olympus E-510 by
dragonsurge
Advantages: Quality, Functions, Easy to use, Price
Disadvantages: have to purchase olympus memory card to use panoramic
...Olympus E-510 10mp digital Slr camera 10MP
Price: £350-£550 (Highstreet winner on price - Jessops)
This is a great camera for both amateur & professional photographers, for those who like quality & variety at a great price then you can't go wrong with this piece of kit which is not only functional but is very easy to use.
You can use this camera straight from the box, it took me about an hour to become familiar with the many functions & settings but pretty easy to take a great shot every time.
For all of you ebay fanatics this camera has an auction function which automatically saves the picture for use in such a situation as well as giving you the choice of 3 images to choose from (the same image but with differences to the brightness/contrast, tone etc. this can save you hours on preparing web friendly images.
The camera...

The Sony Ericsson K510i rocks!
Review of Sony Ericsson K510i by
pyeoh
Advantages: User-friendly menus, size/weight, good camera
Disadvantages: 28MB internal Memory cannot be expanded
...After using 3 Nokia phones over the past few years, I went shopping for a new one after my present Nokia 3120 developed problems. The mobile phone market here in Malaysia is booming big time. Almost everyone has a mobile and I am no exception. It's getting to the point where I feel very helpless and lost without a phone.
Being budget conscious, I was looking for a phone below the GBP100 mark. Most of the Nokia models I looked at were very basic ones and didn't look appealing at all. Then the owner of the shop suggested I take a look at the Sony Ericsson K510i, and I was immediately attracted to it.
The asking price here was GBP90 and it really does offer excellent value for money. The K510i seems to have it all: good sound quality, user-friendly menus, a very clear screen, 1.3MP camera, MMS, Bluetooth, USB, Infrared. I could go...

An MP3 player Beater
Review of Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-N510 by
Rich_100
Advantages: Size, Looks, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Capacity, Requires a good PC to get the best.
...I purchased my MZ-N510 about 6 months ago in the blue version, type s (much better looking than the silver version IMHO). My decision to buy it came after looking while looking for an MP3 player. I particularly liked the fact that minidisks were alot cheaper than solid state memory and I could take a considerable collection away with me withouthaving to lug a laptop around.
The first thing you can't help but notice when you see the MZ-N510 is that it looks good, and feels well made. If you want to get the most of it and other Net MDs you will need a reasonable specced windows PC. The ripping and compression of audio CDs is almost entirely reliant upon the speed of your CD drive & CPU. In addition you'll need a resonable amount of harddrive space to store your collection for easy access.
Each minidisk can holds roughly 150MB...

Sony RDR-HX510
Review of Sony RDR-HX510 by
a4angus
Advantages: Sleek, stylish, feature rich
Disadvantages: Expensive, slow to respond
...Sony RDR-HX510
After much research I had narrowed down the selection to 2 products - 1 from Panasonic and this 1 from Sony.
Both were similarly priced when I bought the Sony RDR-HX510 at £320.
There was not much in it when quality was compared, but the clincher was compatibility - I have mostly Sony everything so I reasoned that it was more likely to work well with own brand then competitor brands.
What's in the Box?
-----------------------
Recorder unit, basic audio/visual cables, manual, power cable and remote control (with batteries).
What's not in the Box?
----------------------------
No sample recordable disc (very poor Sony !!!)
No Scart cable(s)
No Progressive scan connection cables (these will set you back £20-£30 for a cheap set)
No sample memory stick (again - poor Sony !!!!)
No channel...
