...This review is for the Vega 4 GB MP4 player. Setup The setup for this device can be complicated. You are given the device in a box but you have to install the disc. The disc is quite tiny and it took me several attempts to actually get the disc to load up in the first place. Once the disc is loaded up you are then given this small application which you need to use to transfer your files over with. The problem is the application tends to lock up on you half way through the process of you actually sending the files over. The best route for you to get the files transferred over is by opening up the driver folder which you will find when you plug the device into the computer and copy and paste the files over this way. It does take a lot longer and can be frustrating but it is the only way for the files to be sent over...

Feature packed Pioneer

Advantages: Sound quality, 3 pre-outs, MP3 + WMA playback.
Disadvantages: Model now discontinued.

...I have had many in-car head units, Sony, Kenwood and various other Pioneer models but this model does everything i need from a head unit. I have had this for about 4 years now, and is frankly head and shoulders above most head units i have had before. You don't now need to spend £200 - £300 on a head unit, and thankfully prices have come down significantly in the last few years and an equivalent model should now set you back about £150. My current set up comprises of Pioneer DEH-P7500MP head unit, Kenwood amp 60 x 2 driving a pair of pioneer 6.5" speakers on rear shelf, an audison amp 220w x 1 driving a 10" Pioneer sealed sub box in the boot and factory fit Ford speakers driven by internal amp (50 x 4) on head unit. It produced pretty good document and photo prints and the scanner was adequate for documents but not of a standard to copy photos. When coming to choose a new printer these were the characteristics I was interested in. It had to print to a high standard, the scanner needed to be better and I didn't want it to look like an ugly lump of corporate kit with attachments falling off all the time. Despite painfully setting up the fax functionality first time round I have never received or sent a fax using the HP, in fact I don't think I've faxed anything this century so that functionality was dispensable. Canon mp220 - good printer but unreliable

Advantages: 3 functions, borderless printing
Disadvantages: unreliable and not durable

...was decent - the ability to scan and photocopy as well as print was a bonus. The quality of prints was good although not excellent as far as photo quality is concerned. The MP220 was also capable of borderless printing which is an advantage that many other printers do not have. The printer takes one colour cartridge and one black one (the numbers 40 and 41 are the high capacity cartridges). All in all although when the printer worked it was half decent, the reliability and durability issues make it, in my opinion, not a worthwhile purchase....

Advantages: lcd display, durability, optional Bluetooth connection, qualitys, speed, design, functionality, rich software, reliability

Canon Pixma MP190 Good value, decent Printer

I bought it at the local Tesco Extra, after some research I found that they offered it at the lowest price, at £30. I also got 10% as they only had the display one left in store. However, as I bought it in store I did not get free delivery and had to carry it the 2 miles home, something I wont recommend if your arms get tired easily. It comes in a large box, and is well packaged so it does not rattle about in the box.
