MSi 845E Max (6566e) Pentium 4 motherboard

Advantages: Fast, cheap, stable, excellent support and v good manual
Disadvantages: Requires a minimum of Win ME upwards

...Ive been using the MSi 845E max (6566e) motherboard for the past 2 years and it still performs as stable now as it did back then. The board itself is very well packaged and comes with all the usual extras including drivers CD and IDE cables for both CD-roms/hard drives and floppy disc aswell as an excellently informative and well laid out manual. The 845E Max by MSi supports all Pentium 4 processors as well as Celerons upto 3.06 ghz using the built in 845E Intel chipset and includes full support for both 133mhz front side bus (FSB) quad pumped (133 x 4 = 533 fsb) Pentium 4's and 184 pin PC 2100 (266mhz) DDR memory upto 2 ghz, there are 2 available memory slots which is plenty for most people and i whole heartedly recommend firstly adding 1 x 512mb of DDR to the motherboard so as to leave 1 free DDR slot if you ever chose to add...

Fantastic board - while it works

Advantages: Feature packed, easy to set up

...The IT7 MAX2 is a great motherboard, with loads of features, and an unfortunate habit of ceasing to function. Mine lasted 15 months, others I've heard of lasting less. While some of its features are no longer unusual (533MHz bus, RAID, onboard 5.1 sound), it is the sheer number of features that make it special - add firewire ports, ten USB ports, but do note that it lacks traditional serial or parallel ports however. However, as it seems to have serious problems with long term reliability, I'd avoid it unless you're getting it very cheaply. I'm not a power user, and all my previous motherboards (including some that were really cheap) now spread among my extended family are still working fine, so I expected more than 15 months life from this more expensive model. Pucker up with Max Factor!

Advantages: Stays on and refuses to budge
Disadvantages: CAn cake on the lipts if your not careful

All in all this is a must have for the party season and has many more positive points than negatives, I for one won't be using anything else and I'll just remember that after a few hours I need to use the top coat and I'm away! Not exactly MaxFactor's pièce de résistance!

Advantages: Good, subtle daytime look, easy to remove
Disadvantages: Doesn't deliver on promises, no volume or definition :(

...volume and definition, I don't think it delivers on either. I was hoping for a more dramatic result, and I don't think the colour is very strong. I tend to wear this during the daytime for a subtle look, and for this it's perfect. The mascara adds a bit of colour and length to your lashes, but nothing major. Even with a couple of coats, the effect doesn't build up that much and I personally my lashes look better with just the one coat. However, I feel let down that MaxFactor don't deliver on their promises. I have the black mascara, and it doesn't create much impact. I said I'd be happy if my lashes looked half as good as the ones on the advert...in all honesty, they don't.
