Advent 4211c (re-branded MSI Wind)

Advantages: Cheap and easy to use
Disadvantages: No optical drive,battery not amazing

...The Advent 4211 is an often overlooked re-branded version of the MSI Wind. It is powered by the Intel Atom 1.6GHZ processor and has 1GB RAM as standard which I upgraded to 2GB. My version has the 80GB hard drive which is plenty of space for me. I find the 10.2in monitor just big enough to be comfortable and wouldn't recommend going for any Netbooks with 8in monitors as they would be a little small. It runs a cut down version of XP Home with ease and can cope with most general office type tasks with no problem. There is no optical drive so I purchased a very cheap CD drive which is fine if the Advent is a secondary laptop. I would recommend buying a more expensive optical drive if you don't have access to another laptop. The biggest problem I had with the Advent was when I crashed it. ...I've only quite recently begun shopping with Amazon, the main reason being receiving vouchers from survey sites and from on here. It's now one of the first sites I look at when making a purchase. ~~~ Products ~~~ Amazon.co.uk stocks a massive variety of products. So far everything I have searched for has been available to buy on the site, although most of the things have been quite common like DVD's and games. I can't think of anywhere that stocks as much stuff as Amazon, maybe not even Ebay. ~~~ Prices ~~~ The prices on Amazon are very competitive and are usually the cheapest place to but DVD's and games, again being usually cheaper than Ebay, I have no doubt that this is the case for many other products. The main down side is that cash back sites don't offer cash back for Amazon, or am I on the wrong cash back site...

It was one of the first major companies to sell goods over the net and was one of the companies that survived the dot com bubble burst of the late 90's. Jeff Bezos founded Amazon.com, Inc. in 1994, and went online the following year. At first it was just selling books, but soon started to sell video tapes, CD's, video games and, eventually, DVD's. ...I stand here in honesty when I say this is so far, the best purchase I have made this year. I'm very much 'into' computing and have recently felt the need to have computing on the move. However I have since been put off laptops due to the premium prices and lack of power and battery life.
