...Hello, Welcome to my review. I had these speakers included with my lovely hp computer which I purchased back in 2005. These speakers came in a rather blank box, with HP written on it, they came nicely packed with a lovely and very easy to use instruction booklet. They looked very professional and they are a nice grey/silver colour with a tint of blue, you plug these into the back of your monitor and they run off the monitors power input which is very useful, they do not have a power cable themself because they use the monitors cable for power, meaning theres a saving of plugs when it comes to your two point plug way! I went with my boyfriend recently to set up his cousins new speakers, for some reason he always pays my boyfriend to do these things for him, before even attempting it himself. Well, if you are wanting to use your pc for downloading your music, storing it and listening to it there then these are the perfect solution to getting good quality sound. I personally have a laptop so i can plug into my stereo and play my downloaded music there, But as his computer is in a different room of the house to the stereo system this was perfect. Don't be fooled by the 'seemingly' low 6 Watt figure. On paper 6 Watts may seem a bit weak next to the competitors but when tested among 5 other setups these speakers are very loud and even still very clear with volume at 100%. Advantages: Excellent sound quality, easy to setup
Disadvantages: Need alot of space to take full advantage of the surround sound

...For nigh on 4 years i have owned a very basic 2 speaker setup for my PC which despite providing me with years of trouble free service i always yearned for the extra quality that a surround sound package would provide. I did a little homework and discovered that in order to take advantage of using a 4 speaker, 1 subwoofer (5.1) setup then i would need an additional sound card for my PC which supported the 4 speakers and subwoofer, i went out and bought a cheap 5.1 soundcard and installed it then i went along to Argos and purchased the Labtec Arena 5.1 surround sound speakers for £49.99 and after just 5 minutes of browsing thru the supplied and indepth manual i plugged my colour coded speakers into my PC and turned it on. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. ...Harman/Kardon seem to be taking the multimedia market seriously by releasing a speaker set that wouldn't look out of place in a modern living room/study. With a design that is a welcome change from drab beige boxes, you are sure to attract admiring glances from your friends. These speakers really do look the part with their slim stands, contoured driver enclosures and the imposing black-grey finish. The subwoofer is a neat round cylinder that can be situated on your desk without too much bother. The setup of these speakers is very easy. Every plug is colour-coded to the corrosponding input on your sound card, and the speaker plugs are even shaped so there it's impossible to connect them the wrong way round. The speakers themselves tend to slide around on smooth desks, but its nothing a small blob of Blu-Tac wouldn't fix... So...

As you can see they look the part and i promise you they sound the part, with 2 monitors, each with 2 mid-range and 1 tweete they are going to sound the part.
