My Mummy's Bag and lots of goodies for me.

...Having had 4 children of my own, all now grown up I look after our grandson two days a week so I like to keep up to date with toys books etc. Wondering around the toy shops, book shops and department stores I find very little has changed in 26 years. My Mummy's Bag though is one of the exceptions. This "Book" is a little treasure. It is the shape and size of a handbag, made of sturdy cardboard and with red carry straps. Any yummy mummy would be pleased to be seen with it. It has six different compartments which hold various items. There is a mobile phone, hanky, lipstick, diary, note pads, electronic organiser, keys for car and house, in fact 70 objects and 30 activities in fact everything that would be in any working mummy's bag. Changing bag for Mummies AND Daddies! (Mutsy Nursery Bag)

Advantages: Well designed. Great range of styles/colours. Expandable storage.
Disadvantages: Poor changing mat.

...Having decided the purchase of a Mutsy branded pushchair, the obvious choice of baby changing bag was the co-ordinating Mutsy bag. I did feel however that the Mutsy bag looked quite masculine & resembled a school satchel rather than a change bag. After browsing around at other change bags, I came upon the notion that most change bags look quite feminine & that it may be a wiser decision after all to go for the Mutsy bag...this way hubby would have no grounds for refusal of carrying it based on the opinion of it looking 'too girly'. As I read more into the Mutsy bag, I realised that it also has a useful 'clip' feature on the reverse, allowing it to attach easily to the back of the Mutsy pushchair. So, it was a done deal. Mummy my Roary Lunch Bag is so Cool!

...I bought this Roary the Racing car lunch bag for my son the other day as he frequently goes out with his grandparents and now we have this beautiful weather he needs something to store his lunch in and to keep his food chilled. * The Bag* The bag is kind of rectangular and is made from 80% Polyester, 20% PVC and the lining is 100% PVC , it is red in colour with a chequered pattern on the sides , it has a really soft spongy carry handle, and there is a zip which goes all around the picture when you unzip it, it opens up quite wide to reveal an insulated compartment. On the front of the lunch bag is a big shiny picture of Roary with the words Roary the Racing Car and I`m a winner! There is a plastic zip tag which has a star with a number1 , when you open up the bag you will find inside a drinks bottle and a snack container...

...! I hate going out without my phone on me. Don't know why cos I dont always use it! It's just another of those 'what if' things. I better take it 'in case' some one needs me- not that they ever do! 7) Nail File- This is a must, last thing I want to do is break a nail! Its so annoying having a mis-shaped rough edged nail for the whole duration of your outing!! 8) Several Coupons- I'm a die hard freebie fan! I have a collection of vouchers in my bag to use when I go shopping! Ah well, my fella can't say I don't look after the pennies! The rest is just the usual- Purse, Car Keys & house keys etc.... This stuff is what is in my bag, a Mummy's bag on an average day. A trip out somewhere is a whole new story............to be continued!!...

...I received a DVD in a jiffy bag recently opened the bag carefully and put the bag ready to reuse with about 20 other old jiffy bags I have ready for recycling. Actually I am not sure that all of them are genuine jiffy bags but they are the same sort of thing. Jiffy bags made by Jiffy have been available for several years now I think they go back to the 1950?s. Jiffy bags are handy padded envelope bags that can be bought in a variety of sizes some as small as to 164 x 285mm, then several sizes upwards to 247 x 387mm, probably even larger ones available. The original bag is a golden brown heavy duty paper. The padded filling can be as simple as shredded paper. ...the local charity shop was a book called Mummy Knew by Author Lisa James. I bought this book as the blurb on the back of it appealed to me and it was a true story and I prefer reading these kinds of books. The author of the book Lisa James is an author whom I?ve never heard of before which is not surprising as this is her first book and it had only been released in September 2009 and I bought it from the Cancer Research Shop in Mid-October. The copy of Mummy Knew ? Lisa James which I bought was a Paper Back Edition which was in excellent condition considering it was second hand from the Charity Shop. The front cover is mainly white in colour and features a small fair haired girl around the age of six or seven.
