...Long live Murray! Murray Walker has been our frontman on motorsports for over 50 years. I think he should go on as long as he is physically able to. I sometimes hate his mistakes but there's nothing like Murray getting excited to liven things up during a Formula 1 Grand Prix race. When the time does come however to say goodbye to Mr Walker, as for his replacement, I personally think that Martin Brundle is doing an excellent job as his sidekick (always correcting those Walkerisms!), and James Allen wasn't too bad either when he stood in for Murray in France. ...I really enjoy formula one racing but that enjoyment is being spoiled by Murray Walker. He used to be very good at his job but he is now a joke constantly being corrected. He is forever mixing up cars drivers and screaming down the mike false information. Time to call it a day Murray before you become more of a laughing stock than you already areIn handing over the reins to a younger and more capable man you will leave still with some cred and certainly made my enjoyment of Formula one more tolerable... ...Don't you think that Murray Walker is just the best sports commentator EVER. I mean he's just soo enthusiastic about Formula 1. When he unfortunately missed the French Grand Prix at Magnycours it just wasn't the same. It seemed so boring and drab and it was infact the only Grand Prix for an astonishing 50 years that Murray wasn't commentating on. He does make his fair share of mistakes like saying 'And here is Mika Hakkinen in the Scarlet.....McLaren' But Martin is quick to correct him. Don't get me wrong here I think Murray Walker is the best sports commentator in the business and I will be very sad to see him either retire or die. He's the best man there is and I doubt I will watch Formula 1 when he stops commentating... Read review

Advantages: Great voice, livens up the races
Disadvantages: Well, a tiny bit senile but who cares?

...Yes, Murray Walker is old. Yes, Murray Walker is senile AND yes Murray Walker mixes up cars but he is still undeniably the best sports commentator despite all these faults. His voice is that of a Ferrari V12 engine and the enthusiasm he puts into his job his fantastic. Martin Brundle is there to keep him in check and most of the time he does a great job and livens up the races immensely. He can also relate to hundred of other races which no other sports commentator can do. Without Murray, F1 would be dead. F1 is dying due to the boredom i.e Hungary - of most races for people who watch but aren't really enthusiasts. When Murray goes, a part of F1 will die. The service he has provided his brilliant and I hope he goes on commentating for many years.... Read review

...The change over from BBC to ITV has been a little painful with the introduction of advertising to the sport. Its so annoying that when something important and exciting is about to happen we have to go to a break. Thank goodness for Murray Walker then the saviour of Formula 1. This man is so good at his job, ok he gets things wrong more often than not, but his passion and commitment to the sport is unrivalled by anyone. I think his critics should stand up and be ashamed at their treatment of this man. Formula One need him more than he needs Formula 1. So 3 cheers for Murray!!!... Read review

...Those familiar with Al Murray's pub landlord character will most likely have been won over by him already, and this DVD will surely reaffirm your love for the character and want very much to get in the next round from the landlords pub. This show is a cool refreshing pint of comedy fun. The show starts with Murray's routine of picking on the audience (in jest of course) about their profession, appearance, name and just about any comedy gold he can scrape from them and it is (without using the acronym "Lol") laugh out loud funny. Murray's quick wit and ability to think on his feet is astounding, he obviously must have some pre prepared jokes for this purpose but nevertheless he delivers them with snappy comic timing and confidence (gained through the shield of a comic character) with clever callbacks and memory that are also... ...Formula One on ITV has not exactly been great. How can u watch a programme as exciting as Formula One and have so many annoying adverts in between. You always miss something Always. But thank goodness for Murray Walker. The saviour of Formula One. This sport need him more than he needs the sport. I know he has his critics but he is simply yhe best. Yeah Yeah I know he gets it wrong sometimes but his passion and sheer enthusiasim for the sport is unrivalled by anything Martin brundle can offer.
