...predictable and both me and hubby had worked the ending out after only watching about the first half hour but this did not really bother either of us and it was still nice to watch. The music in the film was very good and I did like some of the old 80?s songs which were played and also the current tracks. I think this added a lot to the film. The film was set in the present day so not much time and effort was needed for the settings and costumes and they all did look very nice and fitted in well with the story. I did find the shots which were supposed to have been from the 80?s looked authentic and the costumes were great and they certainly showed what crazy clothes people used to wear! Advantages: Great sound quality, perfet at loud volumes, just in general FANTASTIC

...I am writing a review on the DVD Music & Lyrics. I bought this DVD yesterday after watching it a few months ago.I love Drew Barrymore acting. So i bought it as i do with most of her films. I have (like with most films I write about!!!) wanted to watch this film since it was out in the cinema, the trailers made it seem like a great rom-com and a wonderful feel good movie. Advantages: Superb Sound, Very Loud, Ideal for Ipods

...Bose SoundDock Digital Music System I happened to get this as a gift and it turned out to be quiet interesting Summary: This dock is used mainly for ipod and allows you to connet mp3 players to it and listen to high quality music via speakers. It is idle for homes and small gatherings, although I would not run a party off these. Pros: This system has terrific sound and can go very load despite its relative small size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential. I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. ...Music Hall Days is a truly wonderful DVD programme. It is released through Green Umbrella and is presented by Lionel Blair. The programme was filmed at the headquarters of the Grand Order of Water Rats, at the Grays Inn Road, London. The programme starts by shoeing some sombre shots of old closed down music halls. Crumbling ruins and demolition sites are their fate, now. The music halls, the implication was, will never come back. But as Lionel Blair points out, "we still have the songs of music hall." ...The Doves DVD 'Where We're Calling From' was a surprise acquisition that I won in a very late night competition on the DAB radio station BBC 6 Music. I love the Doves, so I was rather thrilled to get the DVD - and it was certainly exciting when it came through the post in its official BBC packaging! Appearance The DVD is very well presented. The case is entirely cardboard except for the plastic sheet that the DVD disc clips into, and it opens like a book and then slips into an outer cardboard slipcase. The outer slipcase is dark with what looks like fireworks or seeds on the front and all the tracks listed on the back. The DVD itself features bonus material including additional deleted scenes, a blooper real and the making of the movie. The piece d?resistance in the special features section, however, is the ?POP! ...I wanted to see this film at the cinema but never got round to watching it, therefore I recently decided to rent the DVD. This film revolves around an British 80s pop star called Alex Fletcher (Huge Grant) who was in a successful band called 'POP'. The band broke up after the lead singer left to go onto create a successful solo career. Although Alex tried to go solo his album did not do nearly as well as his other band mate. The film shows Alex living in New York and performing his 'POP' songs at 80s concerts in theme parks and reunions.
