Mustek DV 3500 Video Camera

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: too much to detail

...I bought this used but practically brand new. I could video but the playback only lasts 2 seconds and the entire camera shuts off, you have to turn the camera back on in order to either take pictures or use the video again. according to the directions, using the camera other features is supposed to be easy, but the directions I find are misleading. The camera is extremely difficult to figure out even by reading the directions many times over and over. The still picture camera works but only in sunlight areas and not indoors. I find it extremely frustrating to work. In my opinion this camera is not worth the money I paid for it. In order to see the entirety of the video I did, i can only review it when I hook it up to the computer by the USB port....

Mustek DV3000 Compact Digital Camera.

Advantages: Small, Light andCHEAP!
Disadvantages: Fidily, Bad zoom, Not enough memory.

...The video recording on the DV3000 is nat the best in the world. In natrual light (outside) the camera can see everything you can but inside the colours tend to go into a orange/red blur. It has three diffrent video modes, OK quality, GOOD quality and NIGHT mode. OK quality mode is great for recording things like bike riding and things that don't move very fast. But when you record things that tend to go faster than 15mph then the camera can keep up with it and it goes into a blur or somtimes the lense can't see it because it is going to fast. One good thing about this is that you can record for about 15 minutes at one time. GOOD quality mode is the best mode on the camera as it uses 3.1 mega pixels. Mustek DV 3032-tiny camera, not so tiny price

That is the point at which I really wished I had never seen this camera. 99% of my photos are taken inside a house or building, and many times it is too dark for 35mm photos to come out properly. Great Compact Camera

...Before buying the Mustek DV 5000, I'd considered many other options of video camera, namely those that used mini-DV tapes. However, having done some research on the internet, I found that my PC wasn't compatible with that type of camera. Then I came across the Mustek DV 5000. It had a good product description, looked like it had a wide range of features and was a very reasonable price. Best of all, it was compatible with my old laptop (I'm now on a newer one). Mustek magic

Advantages: good quality, fast, cheap

...Mustek 600 CPs scanners are a very good buy. I bought mine for less than £30 and it was worth every penny. The scan quality is excellent and it is fast and easy to use. It scans photos and postcards very, very well but it tends to struggle with magazines and newspapers which reflects the quality of these publications. It takes typically two to three minutes to scan a photograph in 600 dpi. This quality setting gives crystal clear scans at the same size as the source but when a bigger bitmap is required it may need a higher quality setting which can cause crashes. You would be well advised to simply download the drivers from Mustek.com rather than use the software CD, as the scans work better and you can choose to use only Paint Shop Pro or similar for your image editing. The Mustek GSmart Mini - Small in size and price!!

I decided I'd have a look round a few websites and the first one to catch my eye was the Mustek GSmart Mini. ...I have owned my Mustek PL-207 for 3 months now, I paid only $220 dollars in the U.S.A. and that was with a free film working out to around 105 pounds. Prices have come down now in the UK so you can pick this amazing bargain up for around 30 pounds more than I paid and although this machine is far from perfect it's the best bit of kit on the market for the price and can whole heartedly recommend it!. Starting with the picture; I found it surprisingly good, I compared it with Panasonic and Goodmans models and it held its own against the Panasonic and beat the Goodmans hands down. The picture is crisp with good color saturation and only the bare minimum of ray trace.
