You Mustek buy this one!
Review of Mustek PL207 by
masternewt
Advantages: Nice Size Screen, good price, lots of the parts made by Sony
Disadvantages: sound play back can be below avg on some dvd's
...I have owned my Mustek PL-207 for 3 months now, I paid only $220 dollars in the U.S.A. and that was with a free film working out to around 105 pounds.
Prices have come down now in the UK so you can pick this amazing bargain up for around 30 pounds more than I paid and although this machine is far from perfect it's the best bit of kit on the market for the price and can whole heartedly recommend it!.
Starting with the picture; I found it surprisingly good, I compared it with Panasonic and Goodmans models and it held its own against the Panasonic and beat the Goodmans hands down. The picture is crisp with good color saturation and only the bare minimum of ray trace.
The Sound was a mixed bag and I found it to be clear with good stereo output but tended to play the back ground score at a far greater level to the vocal sounds which...

Portable DVD player AHOY
Review of Mustek MP 70 D by
matty168
Advantages: Cheap, Easy to use
Disadvantages: None really
...I first came across Portable DVD players on a trip to Thailand and i was very tempted to get one however the cost didn't seem worth it. However i've been glads to see that the price of them in the UK have fallen dramatically so therefore i chose to snap one up.
I chose the Mustek MP 70 D as it seemed like a good buy at just under £150 and it was a brand i was familiar with as they make scanners.
The great thing about portable DVD players is that it can keep you occupied on a long trip. Since it has an integrated screen,it is no surprise they are becoming very popular-especially when you consider that DVD films are so cheap to buy nowadays with prices starting from around £1!!.

Personal Use

I generally use my portable DVD player when i go on train trips as i travel quite a lot. I usually charge...

A Superb Player at a Great Price
Review of Mustek DVD PL 407 H by
laverack2
Advantages: Good sound and picture quality, Light and easy to carry, Plays many types of disc
Disadvantages: Battery life average
...I bought this little dvd player earlier in 2004, and at the time I managed to pick it up at a bargain price. I searched around several stores, including Dixons, but could not find a satisfactory portable dvd player for a price I could afford. However, I found the Mustek player at an unlikely source: Toys R Us! I picked up the player at a superb price of £150, including a travel/in car kit. In the following review, I will outline the reasons why I chose it, and also, how it still lives up to many other rivals in 2005.
CONTENTS OF PACKAGE
Unlike many other portable DVD players, the Mustek comes with an array of useful accesories. The box contained a strong carry case, with several pockets in wich to store headphones, remote control etc. The case has 6 slots in which straps (included) can be used to mount the player in the car...

Mus-tek back to the shops!
Review of Mustek PVR-A1 - Digital AV player - flash 32 MB - 2.5" by
bad_bob00
Advantages: Low price considering features offered, good quality video playback
Disadvantages: Only has 32MB integrated memory (can be upgraded though), features lack quality
...*The Intro*
The Mustek PVR A1 caught my eye whilst I was browsing some mp3 players online. Not only did it have a very low price (about £70 at the time), but it also boasted a 3 inch colour screen, had the ability to play video's, store images and even more surprisingly it had the ability to record direct from a TV.
Obviously I was sceptical about the quality of such a product after seeing the price and the amount of features which it offered. In the end I took a risk, and to be honest I think I should have listened to the sceptical side of me. That's not to say that the Mustek PVR is a bad product, but it just lacks the overall quality which its innovative features could have so easily delivered.
*The Package*
A colourful and picturesque box was responsible for containing the Mustek PVR, and it did a good job. Upon opening...

I Mustek more pictures!
Review of Mustek DV 5000 by
mmpr
Advantages: size and features
Disadvantages: blurry images in video mode when you move the camera
...Ciao have got the best price for this neat little device spot on. I ordered mine from Directfrom.com for £86.88 on 28/11/04 as a Christmas present for my 13 year old daughter.
The order was confirmed by email immediately with a 1 – 3 day delivery time. You do need to be aware, however, that Directfrom send via Amtrak so if you’re not at home to sign for the package then you have to go to the nearest Amtrak depot to pick it up!
The box is about 6 x 4.5 x 3.5 inches which worried me as I was expecting a small, hand held device, but, never fear – you will not believe how small the camera is when you open the box!!!
It is smaller than my Fuji Finepix 2600.
“So what?” I hear you ask. Well the Fuji takes 2.1 megapixel photos (or lower resolution if you need to save memory space for more photos).
The Mustek has the following...

MUSTEK MAKES FOR A GOOD SCAN
Review of Mustek ScanExpress 6000P by
emlin
Advantages: Excellent quality reproduction
Disadvantages: Loud
...I bought the Mustek model of scanner becasue of the excellent clarity of reproduction. However, I was a bit amused to find that the product has a loud sound when scanning. I don't mean a little whisper either, I mean a BIG SOUND!
If you can imagine an old truck as it starts up early on a cold morning, you may get the idea of just how loud the scanner sounds while scanning. This sound is present during both the Pre-scan and Scan feature. It's almost as if it annouces to the neighborhood that I am transferring pictures to my cpu.
It's a great flatbed scanner, though, and reproduces well anything I scan from books to photos to illustrations. I sell books on internet auction sites and it's a snap to scan the covers for my file transfers. The Mustek 6000P offers a 30-bit color scanning system and comes with the software needed...

Mustek MDC-3000 good as gift for mother-in-law
Review of Mustek MDC 3000 by
RSTech
Advantages: Low price
Disadvantages: Cheap plastic and battery slot and a lot more
...I have owned Mustek MDC-3000 digital camera for more than a year. I bought it because of the price and reasonalby nice look on the web without having it in hands.
The camera is actually producing not bad photos (you may see few examples attached) but only in well lighted places, especially outdoor in sommer. So when you want to have simple cheap toy for making few photos on vacation it might be not so wrong choice.
Let me look now at some disadvantages.
First of all it has poor, cheap plastic case which is really easy to break. My camera felt once on the floor at home and case broke at the same time.
Similar I can tell about battery slot which you have to use quite often because the camera simply consumes too much power to be able to make all photos even using 16 MB Compact Flash card.
You can forget about having good...

It was not a Mustek to buy it
Review of Mustek 600 CP by
fubb
Advantages: Cheap and reliable, good photo quality.
Disadvantages: Limited Photo editing software.
...The Mustek 600 cp is the only scanner I have owned, not that it is the only scanner I have tried. I have tried many, but I keep sticking with my 600 cp.
The main reason is Quality of picture, especially for the web, setting the resolution to 700 rather than the default 300. The scanning software interacts well with all other programs, even Macromedia, but I tend not to use the editing package that comes with it, as it is a little limited but that is the market it is amid at.
It also does not mind sharing a printer card with your local printer this makes for ease of instalment. Over all it is a good little scanner and a bargain at the price....
