...***INTRODUCTION*** Since I first heard about these great gadgets over a year ago I have had my heart set on getting one. I bought the Mustek MP 80 portable DVD player a few months ago and have loved taking it away with me for entertainment purposes. It comes with a great little carry case and a remote control with the same functions as an average DVD player. Just think you are going on that long trip away and you need some entertainment to keep you occupied. Take a set of DVD's and a portable DVD player to pass the time. This sexy little silver gadget is great and I wouldn't be able to cope without it. It certainly brightens up a boring journey, and if you have kids you can buy special fitting and accessories to fix it to the back seats in the car. I Mustek more pictures!

Advantages: size and features
Disadvantages: blurry images in video mode when you move the camera

...a very small device ? what do you expect for this price?? The beauty of the camera is that you can shoot spontaneous video, replay it immediately (with sound) on the reasonable quality LCD screen, then keep it on memory to load onto to your PC, watch it on your TV or delete it immediately. Blimey! What a lot for your dosh. I also spent some time loading MP3 music tracks onto the Mustek DV5000 from my PC (this is just a matter of opening the relevant windows and dragging and dropping). They play via the external speaker (which isn?t very loud) or the headphones (supplied) which is fine. We will continue to play with this amazing little device for some time yet and I will add any new thoughts to this review as and when they occur. Portable DVD player AHOY

Advantages: Cheap, Easy to use
Disadvantages: None really

...I first came across Portable DVD players on a trip to Thailand and i was very tempted to get one however the cost didn't seem worth it. However i've been glads to see that the price of them in the UK have fallen dramatically so therefore i chose to snap one up. Mustek magic

Advantages: good quality, fast, cheap
Disadvantages: very average software, high resolution causes system crashes

...Mustek 600 CPs scanners are a very good buy. I bought mine for less than £30 and it was worth every penny. The scan quality is excellent and it is fast and easy to use. It scans photos and postcards very, very well but it tends to struggle with magazines and newspapers which reflects the quality of these publications. It takes typically two to three minutes to scan a photograph in 600 dpi. This quality setting gives crystal clear scans at the same size as the source but when a bigger bitmap is required it may need a higher quality setting which can cause crashes. You would be well advised to simply download the drivers from Mustek.com rather than use the software CD, as the scans work better and you can choose to use only Paint Shop Pro or similar for your image editing. Advantages: Low price considering features offered, good quality video playback
Disadvantages: Only has 32MB integrated memory (can be upgraded though), features lack quality

Not only did it have a very low price (about £70 at the time), but it also boasted a 3 inch colour screen, had the ability to play video's, store images and even more surprisingly it had the ability to record direct from a TV. Advantages: easy to install and understand, very cheap, good features very small and portable
Disadvantages: No headphone jack, space slightly cramped with buttons, requires seperate sound card for cueing

...supplied with the virtual dj software which basicaly works like your top end mp3 mixing softwares such as final scratch by stanton. on screen you see two turntables where you can load up a song on each, there is a virtual mixer on screen allowing you to fade between tracks like the real thing, the software can be used on its own and when you hook up the unit you get a more realistic hands on dj feel. ...I have owned my Mustek PL-207 for 3 months now, I paid only $220 dollars in the U.S.A. and that was with a free film working out to around 105 pounds. Prices have come down now in the UK so you can pick this amazing bargain up for around 30 pounds more than I paid and although this machine is far from perfect it's the best bit of kit on the market for the price and can whole heartedly recommend it!. Starting with the picture; I found it surprisingly good, I compared it with Panasonic and Goodmans models and it held its own against the Panasonic and beat the Goodmans hands down.   Canon Pixma mp 460 - Fantastic all in one

You occupy only USB ports, have more cables behind and less room for anything on a desk. Cannon came across with Pixma mp460. This quite medium sizes device is brilliant and quality breath taking. Printed a number of pictures with it on an Ilford glossy photo paper and could not believe that they look so great. ...ugly in an industrial way but that was a popular style a few years back. It produced pretty good document and photo prints and the scanner was adequate for documents but not of a standard to copy photos. When coming to choose a new printer these were the characteristics I was interested in. It had to print to a high standard, the scanner needed to be better and I didn't want it to look like an ugly lump of corporate kit with attachments falling off all the time. Despite painfully setting up the fax functionality first time round I have never received or sent a fax using the HP, in fact I don't think I've faxed anything this century so that functionality was dispensable. At a snifter under £100 the Canon Pixma MP600 packs a lot of quality into an attractively designed package. Ignoring any pointless fax functionality it concentrates...
