...Ciao have got the best price for this neat little device spot on. I ordered mine from Directfrom.com for £86.88 on 28/11/04 as a Christmas present for my 13 year old daughter. The order was confirmed by email immediately with a 1 ? 3 day delivery time. You do need to be aware, however, that Directfrom send via Amtrak so if you?re not at home to sign for the package then you have to go to the nearest Amtrak depot to pick it up! Mustek magic

Advantages: good quality, fast, cheap
Disadvantages: very average software, high resolution causes system crashes

...Mustek 600 CPs scanners are a very good buy. I bought mine for less than £30 and it was worth every penny. The scan quality is excellent and it is fast and easy to use. It scans photos and postcards very, very well but it tends to struggle with magazines and newspapers which reflects the quality of these publications. It takes typically two to three minutes to scan a photograph in 600 dpi. This quality setting gives crystal clear scans at the same size as the source but when a bigger bitmap is required it may need a higher quality setting which can cause crashes. You would be well advised to simply download the drivers from Mustek.com rather than use the software CD, as the scans work better and you can choose to use only Paint Shop Pro or similar for your image editing. You Mustek buy this one!

Advantages: Nice Size Screen, good price, lots of the parts made by Sony
Disadvantages: sound play back can be below avg on some dvd's

...I have owned my Mustek PL-207 for 3 months now, I paid only $220 dollars in the U.S.A. and that was with a free film working out to around 105 pounds. Prices have come down now in the UK so you can pick this amazing bargain up for around 30 pounds more than I paid and although this machine is far from perfect it's the best bit of kit on the market for the price and can whole heartedly recommend it!. Starting with the picture; I found it surprisingly good, I compared it with Panasonic and Goodmans models and it held its own against the Panasonic and beat the Goodmans hands down. The picture is crisp with good color saturation and only the bare minimum of ray trace. The Mustek GSmart Mini - Small in size and price!!

Advantages: Incredibly small, good quality pictures

...I'd been looking for a good, small, and more importantly, cheap digital camera for quite a while. I decided I'd have a look round a few websites and the first one to catch my eye was the Mustek GSmart Mini. Mustek DV 3032-tiny camera, not so tiny price

Mustek MDC-3000 good as gift for mother-in-law

...I have owned Mustek MDC-3000 digital camera for more than a year. I bought it because of the price and reasonalby nice look on the web without having it in hands. The camera is actually producing not bad photos (you may see few examples attached) but only in well lighted places, especially outdoor in sommer. So when you want to have simple cheap toy for making few photos on vacation it might be not so wrong choice. Let me look now at some disadvantages. First of all it has poor, cheap plastic case which is really easy to break. My camera felt once on the floor at home and case broke at the same time. Its no Mustek

Advantages: Cheap, low profile and easy to use
Disadvantages: Limited funtionality

...I got my Mustek 12000UB during 2000 and found it to be a great investment. It cost me less than 40 pounds brand new and is surprisingly good at what it does. It came packaged with a very slick, albeit limited, software suite that includes all the functions necessary to Fax, Photocopy, Scan images and text and an entry level version of Xerox's Textbridge. All in all I do very little scanning at home but needed to have one there for the odd urgent job. Since then I've used it regularly and encountered very few problems. The OCR software sometimes produces erratic results when the original source is not clear - but then I've used top of the range OCR software that does the smae thing. The software does not deal with formatted text, such as columns and tables, but I've devised a few shortcuts to minimise the limitations. The image...

Review of Mustek ScanExpress 1200 UB Plus

It was not a Mustek to buy it

Advantages: Cheap and reliable, good photo quality.
Disadvantages: Limited Photo editing software.

...The Mustek 600 cp is the only scanner I have owned, not that it is the only scanner I have tried. I have tried many, but I keep sticking with my 600 cp. The main reason is Quality of picture, especially for the web, setting the resolution to 700 rather than the default 300. The scanning software interacts well with all other programs, even Macromedia, but I tend not to use the editing package that comes with it, as it is a little limited but that is the market it is amid at. It also does not mind sharing a printer card with your local printer this makes for ease of instalment. Over all it is a good little scanner and a bargain at the price....
