Reviews of mutant subwoofer
mutant mt2000 a serious alpine contender
Review of Mutant MT 2000 by
samrainey
Advantages: mosfet technology (subwoofer compatible headunit with no amp), mp3 capable, auxillary input, 2 preouts
Disadvantages: -none-
...Where to start with the mutant mt2000 i purchased this product in my local motorworld (barking) for £35 and have never looked back on my desicion. I reguarly see these unit on sale for around £60 and even at that price i would consider it a good purchase.
The main feautres that attracted me to this product are its mp3 capability, front auxillary input and 2 sets of pre amplified output on the rear for 2 or more amplifiers.
Capable of playing both regular cds and mp3 discs this unit is a dream to use it is only once an mp3 disc is loaded that the full capabilities of this unit are discovered with track searching feature and charachter searching features you no longer need to flick through all 120 songs on a disc to find the song your are looking for.
The auxillary input on the front is also handy for connecting an ipod or mp3...

FLI 12" Active Subwoofer
Review of FLI 12" Active Subwoofer BASS BOX PC4-2 by
E.Pitt
Advantages: All in one compact design. Very Powerful.
Disadvantages: I have not found any.
...This is a very good product. A great addition to any car audio system.
I Bought this active subwoofer system because I did not want the untidy mess of all the wiring from the sub unit to the amp, plus I found it easier to just buy the unit all in one because then you are guaranteed to get the correct specification amplifier. The other advantage of this system is that you can still use the boot of your car, because the unit is all in one enclosure all that has to be done to take it out is remove 3 cables with fork fittings and the two phono cables and then it can be lifted out of the boot. The Dimensions of this unit are 500(L) x 350(W) x 380(H)mm which is not huge and the unit does not weigh a huge amount and can easily be lifted in and out with out any problem. This unit has a RMS Output power of 300 Watts and a Peak Output 0f 1000...

Fli Active 12 Subwoofer
Review of FLI 12" Active Subwoofer BASS BOX PC4-2 by
Andymancan
Advantages: Reasonable-ish value and very nice design
Disadvantages: Simply doesn't sound deep or loud enough
...), and maybe this is why other reviews are so favourable. Another reason is that perhaps smaller cars sound better (mine is a Rover 400 saloon), and also possibly the revised model may sound better...
I hope these views have helped your decisions. On the whole I would give this a miss and get a more expensive subwoofer....

A MUTANT of a film
Review of The Mutant Chronicles DVD by
Maximus-Qualitus
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Everything.
...The Mutant Chronicles.
It came from space………
It came to change man into mutants…..
A war followed and was just about won.
The machine was buried in the earth so it could do no more harm and there it waits……to be discovered.
The year is 2707 and four corporations rule the whole world and battle each other endlessly.
The movie begins with trench warfare and even though set in the future it clearly depicts that war never changes no matter what the time period. The fighting is Gruesome, pointless and with lots of carnage and death. Poison gas bombs, huge artillery and hand to hand combat. The fighting is fierce and then the 'Machine 'is found.
A portal opens and the mutants begin to escape, suddenly the soldiers and not fighting each other they're fighting for their lives. The mutants have only one objective to butcher anything...

Got 5 minutes to spare? Then play Mutant Storm
Review of Mutant Storm (Xbox 360) by
CinnamonDonkey
Advantages: Simple! A great no-brainer game.
Disadvantages: No online multiplayer modes.
...Mutant Storm, (Mutant Storm Reloaded on the 360) by PomPom Games takes us back to the good old days of coin-ops and blasters! It's simple just blast everything, collect bigger weapons and then blast even more.
Graphics wise this game is simply jam packed with eye candy, it's well animated and full of colour.
Although this game supports the typical Adventure mode where you can play through the levels sequentially, personally I prefer the Tally mode in which you can pick the level you want to play and the difficulty.
This game uses the concept of coloured belts to represent difficulty levels. For those of you who have done martial arts, its the same principle.
PROS:
* Simple in concept and simple to control.
* Looks amazing with lots bright colours and cool effects.
* 89 Levels
* The Tally mode allows you to pick 'n...

Mutant amps the way to go
Review of Mutant MT 1202 by
samrainey
Advantages: efficient cooling, consistent power
Disadvantages: no wiring kit
...A 2 channel 120 watt car audio amplifier. Mutant amplifiers are lesser known than mainstream brands such as alpine or blaupunkt howver this is not because of a lack in power or life. In my experience mutant audio has always out performed my expectatations and often my more expensive equipment. I use this amplifier to power 2 6 by 9 speakers and am unable to find a fault with them the sound is clear, loud and consistently high quality all from an anmp under £30 from motorworld.
Heat disperstion pannels and slots ensure that the unit is kept consistently cool, they also ensure that only one side of the amp needs to be given open air and the remaining 3 faces can be pushed up against walls, covered and generally not worried about, my only major beef is the fact that as with most amps it is nesciserry to buy an amp wiring kit costing...

Clean and pristine subwoofer
Review of Toshiba SW 1000 by
yassarikhan786
Advantages: Clean sound output, stylish and very modern
Disadvantages: Quite pricey, average sound output
...The Toshiba SW 1000 Subwoofer is unique looking in the way that most people think of subwoofers as being box shaped, which in fact is true for most sub woofers. The SW 1000 looks rather like a closed laptop and may fool some people into thinking it is.
This particular subwoofer measures at 67 cm in length, 31 cm in width,7 cm in depth and it weighs a quite considerable 5.2 kg. Taking all the measurements into account you can see that this particular subwoofer is quite large considering its sound output. But, then again most subwoofers are quite large.
The subwoofer produces a 35 W (Watt) RMS amplifier output. RMS power is the amount of continuous power, which is measured in Watts. The level of RMS or continuous power determines how loud and how clean the sound output is from a sub woofer.
The 35 Watts of RMS power means...

How can I not own a subwoofer?
Review of Creative Inspire T5900 by
snootyjim
Advantages: Reasonably priced, easy to set up, reliable
Disadvantages: Not stylish, a lot of wires, not top quality and volume
...of the blue, a mate told me he’d seen some 5.1 speakers on eBay for around £50, and reckoned that was pretty cheap. Having around that amount lingering in my dad’s PayPal account after some sales on eBay, I thought what the hell, and bought a reconditioned T5900 system then and there.
Needless to say, that was pre-ciao and I had a habit of buying stuff without looking up comparisons and so on. Point was, it had a subwoofer! What a great name! I suppose it was the deciding factor in my purchase of a GeForce graphics card a couple of years back as well, so it has been a bit of a recurring factor.
Generally speaking, with my new-found knowledge, the bit at the front indicates satellite speakers, so 5.1 has 3 at the front, and two at the back, while 7.1 has three at the front, two at the sides and two at the back. The bit at the end...

Mutant Agendas and Conspiracies
Review of X-Men - Stan Lee by
xrfn1
Advantages: Make great collectbles
Disadvantages: Hard to keep up with
...spin-offs(especially in the USA). In the USA you have X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, X-Men Unlimited, X-Facor, X-Force, etc. All of which have characters that go from one title to another...sort of like guest appearences. So Marvel has enough mutants and storylines to last for decades.
I stopped collecting the comics circa 1997, because all the storyline and spin-offs to keep up with, were putting a strain on the pocket. The main theme in the X-Men is the prejudice that people have against mutants. They fear them and feel they are out of control. There is often a strong propaganda among humans that the mutants can destroy us and there is no way of stopping them. In the X-Men there are good mutants trying to convince the world that mutants want to live in peace, while other mutants feel that they are a superior race and should destroy humans. Among...
