Creative Muvo2 4GB. Ipod anyone?

Advantages: Small, light and has a blue backscreen.
Disadvantages: Hard to navigate songs, doesn't come with remote, battery life.

Creative Muvo2 4GB

Advantages: Very small, easy interface, great sound quality
Disadvantages: Occassionally crashes, small screen

...Having researched a variety of portable MP3 players i decided to purchase the Creative NOMAD MUVO2. It cost £146 and comes with a 4GB mini hard drive that can store approx 1000 MP3s. Although i made my purchase through ebay you can pick the muvo2 up for anything between £175 - 230 in retail outlets and from the web. First impressions count for a lot as far as i am concerned and i wasn't dissapointed. The muvo2 is very small (about the size of a pack of 20 cigarettes) so it is easy to carry in your pocket without noticing it. It is available in 2 colours, black or silver (silver looks the better). So why did i go for the muvo2? Well, firstly, its made by Creative who are renound for producing quality audio equipment, secondly, the size and thirdly the price. MuVo2 - Fending Off The Attack of The iPod

Advantages: Excellent sound quality, compact, not overpriced, longlasting re-chargable battery

When looking for a MP3 player I had a reasonable budget so I could afford to get a player with a good capacity, but could not afford the more expensive iPod. For this reson I chose the MuVo2 - decent capacity at a very good price. This player is very comapact too. About 70mm x 70mm x 15mm. It weighs very little too, the player itself is light and the replaceable lithium-ion battery is light and thin. perfect!

Advantages: does everything you need a MP3 player to do... play MP3s, extremely cheap nowadays
Disadvantages: doesn't come close to some of the MP3 players now, but it's cheap

...Creative are now one of the leading MP3 Player brands in the world. I've known a lot of people with Creative MP3 players, and all have been very good with no problems whatsoever. It was probably 3/4 years ago now I wanted one of these for Christmas when I was about 14/15 years old. At the time, 4gb was pretty big for a MP3 player as they were quite new to the market (most other popular MP3 players at the time were 128, 256, 512 and 1024mb). I wanted quite a big one, as I listen to a lot of music, and for the amount of money I was allowed, the Creative Muvo2 4gb just fit into my budget at about £130, which is a hell of a lot of money for a MP3 player of this size (4gb) nowadays as you can get a say, Creative Zen 16gb which also has a colour screen and the capability of video playback for £100... Even now, I am still extremely happy...

The best small 4GB MP3 player -No its NOT an IPOD!

Advantages: Small & Sleek design, Can store any file format
Disadvantages: Small screen (although it still gives all the information you ever need)

...OK, so I may be a bit bias as I have a MuVo2 & not an IPOD, but read on & decide for yourself! A couple of months ago I started looking for some personal audio that could play hours of music without me having to change CDs or anything (so I didn't have to have an endless supply of CDs in the office). I finally settled on a CD/MP3 player which allowed me to burn any songs I wanted onto a CD (fitting around 170 on a disc). However I only used this for a couple of months as I managed to win this MP3 player through 'Nuts' magazine (please don't call me that!). I have since looked at some prices & it can be found from £150 to £200 depending where you look. The MuVo2 4GB has the same memory as the apple ipod mini. It weighs the same as a small mobile phone (about 91g) & although it is 15mm wider & 6mm deeper, it is a massive 25mm shorter...

I simply could found that the iPod minis were hard to get hold of at the time, although if I was prepared to wait a small amount of time I could have got one. What a great little player!

Advantages: compact and stylish

Having took a year out from university to work a placement year in 2003 / 2004, i really wanted to save up some money and spend it on something i really really wanted. In work, everyone was getting IPOD's, but they were nearly £300, just way to expensive for my budget. Music...makes the people...come together!

Advantages: Good sound quality, Compact, Ease of use
Disadvantages: Bad supplied headphones, LCD screen fairly small

...popularity but the Nomad is a very good choice and a solid mp3 player that I would definitely recommend to others. If you want a larger in-built hard drive for example, you will have to pay far more and probably end up with something that looks more like a CD player than anything (e.g. Creative Jukebox) rather than something compact and easy to use which the Nomad really has in it?s favour. Final Word --------------- The main bad points of the player are the peripherals, such as the headphones which are really not great, however most people have extra headphones so it probably won?t be a problem for many. The Create Nomad MuVo2 is an unyielding mp3 player that lives up to the hype and lasts the distance with good durability. Judging from some of the other players on the market right now, you could go far worse....

The MuVo squared, a superb mp3 player.

Advantages: Price, Looks, Simple to use, Good functionality.
Disadvantages: Small LCD

...Sony (Sony are good..). If sound quality is high up on your priority list, the MuVo will do you proud. If you are looking for something very portable, then the MuVo2 will fit the bill. At 2.6" x 2.6" x 0.8" and 3.2 ounces with the battery, it is extremely small. The flat sides also help it fit neatly into a pocket. Creative bundles a carrying case with belt clip, which is nice. In conclusion, if you're looking for a micro drive portable mp3 player, consider the MuVo. It combines most of the important elements you'd need, into one small package. It looks nice, sounds nice, and the price is right. At around £150, it won't break the bank, and you get a very decent 1.5Gb player for your money....

Mini ipod Eat Your Heart Out.

Advantages: Looks Neat

...The MuVo2 4 GB has the same memory as the apple ipod mini, but yet if ordered on Amazon for £174.99, its £75 cheaper. Don't quite match does it! The instruction manual is easy to follow, and make the setup fabously easy to use. The battery that also came with it has a fantastic lifespan without charge, I'm not sure fully but I'd say around 14 hours of non-stop music. I was after a small, but very sturdy player, but enough memory for two or three hours on the bus each day and this fitted perfectly into both sections. The setup is brilliantly easy, with fantastic software that is provided. To put songs on through a very fast USB cable, which transfers roughly about a gigabyte ever ten seconds, you just drag and drop them on and you're away! And if any body wants to know just how light it is, it's about as light as my Nokia 3200...
