Fujifilm MX500

Advantages: Easy to use and getting cheaper by the day
Disadvantages: A little limited on the software side.

...I bought my Fujifilm MX500 when myself and my partner purchased a PC. The complete kit consists of the camera, software CD and download cable, including an adaptor for Macs. the camera itself is a self focussing device about 5"x3"x1", and is quite light. It feels a little fragile, but is sturdier than it looks. it comes complete with a 2Mb card, which allows 21 pictures on a normal quality picture, but only 5 on high quality. The set up menu allows you to choose which setting you want. it also allows you to adjust file sizes, two choices, 640x480, or 1280x1024. at the highest setting the picture definitin is truly excellent, but it does take up huge amounts of space on the card. At the lower file and definition picture quality is a little grainy and inside shots using the auto flash can be very easily over exposed. Battery life appears...

My MX500 - the Battery Monster

...I couldnt afford a new camera and after using one of those tiny keyring digi camera this was brilliant. I had priced up a lot of cameras and needed at least £79.99 for the basic one. My friend then kindly lent me his MX500 and now he has a new camera phone I have brought it off him cheaply. The camera is silver and quite bulky compared to the newer ones. I have put mine into a shoulder strap case. He did warn me that it eats batteries (4 x AA) and so like a fool went out and purchase some cheap ones which lasted all of about 10 minutes. Hoping to get a recharger for batteries. As I have not yet had the manual for it I can only tell you what I have learned. It is a 1.5 mill pixel which is fab. There is an automatic flash. But when you ask people to smile expect a 10 sec wait so not so good for taking childrens...

Review of Mizuno MX - 500

My MX850 thoughts!

Advantages: Finally an all in one with network support from Canon
Disadvantages: Reasonably bulky with some very poor setup software

...said this being a fax printer it wouldn't normally be turned off - just allowed to turn itself into standby in which case its ready for printing in about 10 seconds. The on screen display makes using the printer a bit of a doddle, it has adjustment for angle but sadly not contrast although it is good enough from factory anyway. The button layout and general ease of use is improved from the MP750 substantially. Print quality is exceptional, both for speed and results - I could ramble on here about it but to say you shouldn't be disappointed will suffice I think. CD/DVD printing is still just as easy as before but a huge plus over the old one is that the MX850 has a storage slot for the CD tray (beneath the main paper drawer) when its not in use. Advantages: Great for first time webdesigners on a budget
Disadvantages: Not for experts

...I was first introduced to this software at school and have since been hooked. As an alternative to using notepad for making websites it is fantastic. The most useful programs in the package are Dreamweaver (website building) and Fireworks (Graphics). There is also in this set Flash, Freehand and Coldfusion. Dreamweaver is a fantastic piece of software which incorporates all the other elements in the MX packgage with ease. There is the usual graphic and code view, file manger, FTP and much more. The only downside to this program is that when you use html (or other code/scripts) that is not generated by Dreamweaver I have found that it doesn't cope well and rarely crashes. Which is very annoying at least. Fireworks I believe is a God send for website coders who are not strong at graphic design because it is simple to use...

Vango Venture 500

Advantages: Good Size, Brilliant Value, High Quality, Sturdy, Easy to Erect

...I purchased my Vango Venture 500 towards the end of 2006. For the bargain price of £85.00 and I haven't looked back since! Numourus camping trips have bee happily spent in this tent and it will see many more! The frame consists of 2 large poles crossing over to make the main dome, and a 3rd smaller pole creating a loop for the porch area. Once erect, with all pegs and guide ropes in place the tent is extremely strong and stable. We have camped in strong winds and strong rain and it has stood strong throughout. As long as there are two of you, erecting the tent is a swift and easy process. Funnily enough you tend to erect it faster when its raining!
