MX500 - The Ultimate Mouse
Review of Logitech MX 500 Optical Mouse USB/PS2 by
i.like.ham
Advantages: Great Responsiveness, Comfortable, Superbly Accurate
Disadvantages: Some Useless Buttons, Scrapes on Plastic Mousepads, Bad Drivers
...smooth and accurate. But Microsoft mice are notorious for developing worn pads over time and this makes movements even more ridiculous after possessing a mouse for a long period of time.
After another 1 year period of possession of a mouse I decided that I needed a new mouse because the Microsoft Intellieye 3.0 just couldn't keep up. After reading plenty of reviews and opinions from others I decided to buy the Logitech Mx 500. Over the dominant years of Microsoft in the optical mice market, logitech had become to gain a bigger share in the market as they released their MX range of mice known for their superb accuracy and performance.
My first impressions of the mouse were encountered when I was trying to get the thing out of the damn box. The box is designed like the usual packaging on items with the picture of the item and a company...

Fujifilm MX500
Review of Fujifilm MX 500 by
Smokey64
Advantages: Easy to use and getting cheaper by the day
Disadvantages: A little limited on the software side.
...I bought my Fujifilm MX500 when myself and my partner purchased a PC. The complete kit consists of the camera, software CD and download cable, including an adaptor for Macs. the camera itself is a self focussing device about 5"x3"x1", and is quite light. It feels a little fragile, but is sturdier than it looks. it comes complete with a 2Mb card, which allows 21 pictures on a normal quality picture, but only 5 on high quality. The set up menu allows you to choose which setting you want. it also allows you to adjust file sizes, two choices, 640x480, or 1280x1024. at the highest setting the picture definitin is truly excellent, but it does take up huge amounts of space on the card. At the lower file and definition picture quality is a little grainy and inside shots using the auto flash can be very easily over exposed.
Battery life appears...

My MX500 - the Battery Monster
Review of Fujifilm MX 500 by
plecostrum
Advantages: Great Pictures, good quality
Disadvantages: Eats batteries very quickly
...I couldnt afford a new camera and after using one of those tiny keyring digi camera this was brilliant. I had priced up a lot of cameras and needed at least £79.99 for the basic one.
My friend then kindly lent me his MX500 and now he has a new camera phone I have brought it off him cheaply. The camera is silver and quite bulky compared to the newer ones. I have put mine into a shoulder strap case.
He did warn me that it eats batteries (4 x AA) and so like a fool went out and purchase some cheap ones which lasted all of about 10 minutes. Hoping to get a recharger for batteries.
As I have not yet had the manual for it I can only tell you what I have learned.
It is a 1.5 mill pixel which is fab. There is an automatic flash. But when you ask people to smile expect a 10 sec wait so not so good for taking childrens...

FUJIFILM MX-500 DIGITAL CAMERA.
Review of Fujifilm MX 500 by
kawaljit
Advantages: great looks high quality
Disadvantages: only a 2mb card
...This is a very stylish and great looking digi cam. It offers great functionality and comes equipped with a 2 MB smart media card. The MX-500 offers excellent quality as it can take snap shots at over 1.5 million pixels. This I perhaps more than you and I really need, but for the pro’s this is nothing they would require at least 3 million pixels.
This cam has red eye reduction, as you would expect from any quality camera. As well as a flash with sensor on board.
On the reverse of the camera can be found its 1.5-inch digital display screen. This could have come with a cover for protection against dirt and scratches.
The machine comes with 7 functions including photo playback and locking your images so they cannot accidentally be deleted. There is also a digital x2 zoom and macro zoom.
It also comes with the necessary leads...

Logitech MX500 optical mouse without the cheese
Review of Logitech MX 500 - mouse by
craggybuk
Advantages: Tonnes of functions via the 8 buttons. High quality laser
Disadvantages: Software on CD is a bit over the top
...The Logitech MX 500 is the first optical mouse I have owned personally. Having used a couple of different brands at work, I was aware that the quality of these devices differed greatly between manufacturers. I paid £30 for this mouse when I bought it a couple of years ago so you should be able to pick them up for a lot cheaper now.
--Whats in the box--
On opening the box, you will find the mouse itself with its extension cable and usb connector, a ps/2 style adapter which connects to the usb end of the mouse to allow it to be connected to the old ps/2 style interface, a quick installation guide and a cd which includes various software such as logitech updates, the logitech desktop and some various other mouse software which is not required.
--Setup and Installation--
If you are using the mouse with the usb interface...

An essential tool
Review of Home Theater Master MX-500 (universal remote control) by
tranx
Advantages: Simple to program, Powerful, Durable
Disadvantages: size? otherwise none
...In our house things like VCRs, DVRs, satellite receivers, and set top boxes are multiplying so we really needed a universal remote control; we tried three or four different models until we settled on the MX-500 because it was so powerful and easy to program
With the hard buttons, joy pad, and editable LCD, Home Theater (USA) Master MX-500 was worth considering at £100 but is currently available new on eBay for around £45
Almost all audio and TV accessories can be controlled if they respond to infrared signals, although there are now a few things like gas fires using a radio link instead
It is becoming more common for several functions to be combined in one unit e.g. VCR combined with DVDR so it can be quite hard to remember what the abbreviations signify. Using MX-500 you can define your own labels and place them on distinct...

MX Stands For Multimedia eXcitement
Review of NVIDIA GeForce2 MX by
dr-x
Advantages: Great performance
Disadvantages: Let me know if you can find one
...There are graphics cards, and then there is the GeForce range of cards, which is generally regarded a cut above the rest, and in my opinion, rightly so. Originally, the new GeForce 2 cards cost the best part of £500 and were out of most peoples price range, but since the release of the superb Geforce2 MX cards available from a range of manufacturers, this has changed the market completely, and brought high performance gaming to an affordable level so that its not only the ‘rich kids’ that can buy a card that would suit any spec PC.
Costing anything between £75-£150, this card is serious value for money, and there is enough flexibility on the MX range to suite most needs, with 32Mb and 64Mb version coming in SDR and DDR flavours depending on your needs, obviously though, this is reflected in the price range.
One of the hottest cards...
