Review of Samsung VP MX20

My MX850 thoughts!

Advantages: Finally an all in one with network support from Canon
Disadvantages: Reasonably bulky with some very poor setup software

...said this being a fax printer it wouldn't normally be turned off - just allowed to turn itself into standby in which case its ready for printing in about 10 seconds. The on screen display makes using the printer a bit of a doddle, it has adjustment for angle but sadly not contrast although it is good enough from factory anyway. The button layout and general ease of use is improved from the MP750 substantially. Print quality is exceptional, both for speed and results - I could ramble on here about it but to say you shouldn't be disappointed will suffice I think. CD/DVD printing is still just as easy as before but a huge plus over the old one is that the MX850 has a storage slot for the CD tray (beneath the main paper drawer) when its not in use. Macromedia MX

Advantages: Great for first time webdesigners on a budget
Disadvantages: Not for experts

...I was first introduced to this software at school and have since been hooked. As an alternative to using notepad for making websites it is fantastic. The most useful programs in the package are Dreamweaver (website building) and Fireworks (Graphics). There is also in this set Flash, Freehand and Coldfusion. Dreamweaver is a fantastic piece of software which incorporates all the other elements in the MX packgage with ease. There is the usual graphic and code view, file manger, FTP and much more. The only downside to this program is that when you use html (or other code/scripts) that is not generated by Dreamweaver I have found that it doesn't cope well and rarely crashes. Which is very annoying at least. Fireworks I believe is a God send for website coders who are not strong at graphic design because it is simple to use...

Fantastic Funky Maclaren MX3

Advantages: Really funky looking, easy to steer, loads of storage, from birth, travel system
Disadvantages: Can't hang bags off handle

...on that as haven't got it. Our MX3 buggy has a different coloured pram liner in lime which looks REALLY good against the storm grey. The harness is excellent, and the nicely padded and comfy seat reclines fully so you can use the 'buggy only option' from birth if you didn't want to buy the whole travel system. The Maclaren MX3 is incredibly easy to steer, not really wide like a lot of three wheelers, (good for shopping), very large shopping basket, easy to clean, very funky looking. It feels sturdy, but although not a lightweight buggy it's still under 10 kg. ...I have just purchased a Samsung NC20 from Amazon. I originally planned on getting the NC10 after reading lots of fantastic reviews, but I was apprehensive about the size, being approx 10" screen. Anyway I heard about the NC20, and after seeing a HP notebook of the same size, I decided to wait for that instead... Amazon have had the white version in stock for a few weeks, but the Black one only came in this week. Customer service was excellent, I ordered on Wed evening, but due to a problem with my card, the order only went through at 6.30pm on Thursday...it was then delivered at 8.30am on Friday!!! That's what I call express service! The cost was about £375, so it's not the cheapest on the market, but the reviews of the NC10 swayed me in spending a little extra.
