...I got given this as a christmas present as i am useless at getting anywhere in my car without someone telling me where to go as i just forgot where to go! I was expecting to this little toy to be the nuts, i was just so dissapointed by it. I will start off with what i liked about this product first. Firstly, although i didn't really need a PDA, it was nice to have one incase i needed to write anything down/store something important as i never have a pen or piece of paper in my car. My Guide to the Guide

Advantages: A thrilling, extremely funny, witty and overal excellent book

...is based around a science fiction idea, but none of the ideas in it are supposed to challenge what may await us in the future. This book is not Clarke or Baxter, and perhaps the book has come off better because of it. The ideas that are proposed ro exist in the far reaches of space, but rather what the funniest concepts would be several million lightyears away. There are some great characters in this book. One of my personal favourites is Marvin the Paranoid Android. He is a manically depressed robot which yes, goes against all the scientific laws of how a robot might work, but that is perhaps why the idea is so ludicrously funny. .... however obviously if you want to do it yourself it is better to play the campaign first then go back through and find all the collectibles. However that is my opinion and some people may choose to play through the campaign with the guide in the first place. The guide also shows the maps and weapons for the online maps and also expert hints and tips on how to play online detailing tactics and tricks for each game mode and map. There is also a full list of the achievements in the game which obviously can be got from the xbox 360 dashboard but it helps to have everything in one place, and means you can look at it without having to break up your gameplay. Disadvantages: It focuses on Australian writers, so some info is irrelevant to UK writers

...If you want to be a writer, you can make the mistake of reading too many 'how to' guides and never get around to actually writing (especially common with wannabe screenwriters, according to books I have!). The Writer's Guide brings you back to basics though and suggests plenty of outlets for your writing, along with many tips and advice. The only downside to this book is that it is written for Australasian writers, so a lot of the information on Australian and New Zealand writers' groups, publishers, agents, etc. doesn't apply to those of us living in the UK. ...Now I'm not normally much of a reader, and much prefer a good film rather than a book, however after reading The Zombie Survival Guide I'm willing to give reviewing it a shot. The book basically outlines the precautions necessary to survive and defend against a zombie attack. It explains what a zombie is, how to destroy a zombie, the best weapons to do so and even how to build a fortress to start a new life once the zombies take over the world. Towards the end of the book there are even reported attacks and the accounts of those involved in them.
