Urban Legend is a teen slasher film that was released around the time of films like Scream and I know What You Did Last Summer, these have now become classic teen horrors however Urban Legend somehow managed to slip under the radar and I had never even heard of it until a few weeks ago when it was showing on Sky Movies. The reason that this film gradually faded into obscurity is because there?s nothing original about it, it?s almost as if it tries too hard with the plotline. Teenagers aren?t going to be familiar with urban legends that are hundreds of years old therefore in a way they?re alienating their core audience. Sometimes complicated films...

The Man, The Myth and The Legend

Advantages: Ric Flair is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, good matches

The Stuff Of Legends

Advantages: Simple writing style that allows the plot to flow and the pages to be turned
Disadvantages: One slightly weaker character in the first half of the book.

Absolute Legend

Advantages: Amazing gameplay, graphics, storytelling, in jokes.

I Am Legend - Wasn't legendary for me!!!

...My good friend and fellow-writer GildorInglorion knows a thing or two about books - and more specifically, about the fantasy genre from which seemingly no major work has escaped him. A little while ago, he gave me a copy of 'Legend' to borrow. Before I had the chance to read it though, it emerged that author David Gemmell had died.
