Slate - Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi, Infrared, Bluetooth - FM Radio, GPS Reciever, Digital Camera, Digital Player - Quad Band - 128 g (On Ciao since: 04/2008)
Advantages: Good quality with plenty of great features and applications Disadvantages: Short battery life, may occasionally freeze
...The Nokia n95 was first released on sale in the UK at the beginning of 2007. It was one of the most advanced phones available at this time. It has a lot to offer the owner. First of all, the display is a 240 x 360 TFT display with ambient light detector and up to 16million different colours to take your fancy. The display is quite clear with not a lot of icons to clutter up the space.
The signal and battery levels are illustrated in the top corners of the screen split either side of the time and the profile selection, e.g. silent, general, and meeting. Beneath this we have the main tabs showing from left to right; the contacts list, radio DJ, bluetooth, web, gallery and maps. The calendar is hidden below this and can be opened to view dates and set reminders for birthdays etc. These reminders appear on the main display screen which is...

Review of Nokia N95
Advantages: 3.5G MT and 5MG Camera Disadvantages: Only the price
...I have been admiring this mobile for quite a while before poppin into the local Vodaahphone shop and jumping in feet first. What I love about this mobile is that it just seems to have an elegance to it. Nothing is a hassle, the interface is slick and smooth without too much menu complications. It perfect for you none technical folk out their who perfer a simple mobile and who don't like trawling through all those Spanish, Japanese, instructions. The Nokia N95 is a high tech mobile which carry-on all those recognisable Nokia traits that any techno tortoise can follow. The graphics are delightful without going over the top, it reminds me of my first 3G phone. Yeah I do think the Nokia N95 is revolutionary... it is the next step towards 4G mobile phone media. The internal storage alone makes the N95 more capable of carrying digital data...

Review of Nokia N95
Advantages: good camera, lots of features Disadvantages: expensive
...Before purchasing the N95 as part of my latest contract with the carphone warehouse I decided to do my own research on it. I read very mixed reviews on it. Some people were saying that it was the best phone they'd ever bought, yet others practically slated it for things such as use of battery life, size, slowness.
Nethertheless, I decided to go with it anyway after experimenting with a friends N95 and absolutely loving it. I loved the way it looked as it had a good sized screen, a good weight, not too big or small and of course being a fan of photography I liked the fact it had a 5megapixel carl zeiss lens. I also liked the way the phone slides both ways. The first to reveal the keypad for sms, menu options etc. And the other way for use of the music player contols.
So heres a breakdown of what I think about some of its main...

Review of Nokia N95
Advantages: Feature rich, 3G phone, available on all networks. Disadvantages: Battery life, Size
...onto the Satellites. Navigating by foot is catered for too! Something that other CPS devices omit.
Battery life is appreciably shorter than other phones I have owned but with normal use is acceptable.
I would not be without this phone and would recommend it if it is still available. There is a new edition of this phone, N95-8Gb if you can no no longer get the N95....

Review of Nokia N95
...It took ages to boot up. By the time it was ready for use it had been at least a 3 minutes. At first i thought "it's broken already?" as it seemed to be stuck on the white nokia logo screen. It did eventually spring into life and a nice welcome screen asking me about tutorials and would i like to watch some video of how to operate then handset. I noticed at this point that the light omitted from the screen was visable through the side of the handset, the screen it self is sandwiched between an upper and lower plate of plastic, the gap between them both was where the light was escaping. This to me looked terrible and further added to my disappointment of the N95, cheap and tacky build quality which for the price of handset is really unacceptable. The screen itself is really nice, it's clear, has plenty of colour range and is nice...

Review of Nokia N95
Advantages: everythin rolled into one to make it ultra portable Disadvantages: music quality and sat-nav (discussed)
...Every now and then a manufaturer develops a product that promises to revolutionise the market. With a combination of sat nav, a media player, a huge 5-megapixel camera and revolutionary - if you'll excuse the repetition - 2 way slide, the N95 shapes up nicely to become such a product.
the layout
push the screen up, and let your fingers roam around the textured keyboard, or push it down to reveal a handy touch-sensitive media controller. This also switches the N95's 66mm (2.6-inch) screen into landscape mode bringing with it the stylish new 3D multimedia menu -- more of which later.
A control pad beneath the screen lets you access menus and key functions while the phone is closed, and on the sides of the phone, stereo speakers and volume keys sit along side a standard 3.5mm headphone socket and transflash memory socket behind a flap...

Review of Nokia N95
Advantages: Screen is great Disadvantages: Bit bulky
...There are lots of reviews telling all the technical bits. So I thought I would just stick to how the nikia N95 really is.
First impressions are its a bit bulky but its a great looking phone. The screen is a fantastic size and very clear. The phone also feels robust, not like you will break it the minute you sit down in your jeans.
The buttons are very neatly shaped making them easy to press. Many of the new phones have very small buttons and therefore are not easy to use. You will be pleased that texting away is quick and comfy.
It has all nokia's usuall features, with some added extras. The map feature sounds better than it is unless you are prepared to go online. Many places do noy show up on the map feature unless connected. But if you are willing to use your mobile to connect to the internet its a great feature. You...

Review of Nokia N95
Advantages: Great Camera, lots of extras Disadvantages: not enough storage space, music loudspeaker not that loud
...Well I have to say as a fan of Nokia the N95 did not disappoint. The screen is great it is extremely user friendly and has so many features and applications it will keep you busy for ages.
However, a couple of things to point out with the N95 is the Satnav facility. This was one of the reasons I bought the phone, you have to download the maps, sometimes the software can be a bit dodgy ( I had to reinstall the maps and format my disk to get it to work) Its a great service, but you do have to pay extra to get the actual voice navigation program. After paying line rental and call costs the last thing I wanted to do was spend more money!
The camera is pretty awesome for a phone and was the first mobile phone to have a 5megapixel Carl Zeiss camera.
The back of my phone came off, probably after dropping it a few times, and now...

Review of Nokia N95
Advantages: Features, Features, Features Disadvantages: Battery Life
...Having always been a Nokia fan, when the time came to upgrade by phone from the 'very functional once you upgraded the firmware' N73, I had little hesitation in going for the N95, despite staff at O2 advising me the K850i was a 'vastly superior phone'.
The handset was free and the contact very rosy so I waited eagerly for it's arrival. It was easy to se up, the phone worked well straight out of the box.
Being a bit of a geek my first port of call was gadgets, the mp3 player, video player, camera etc. The screen proved to be large and well designed. The onboard real player function makes an excellent video player. The 5Mps camera is as you'd expect excellent and the auto focus is a godsend to someone an inept at photography as myself.
Thanks once again to the screen internet use it easy, and the camera functions clear. The video...
