...The NAD C 315 BEE stereo integrated amplifier beat the Cambridge Azur 340A SE when the british magazine hi-fi world put them against one another. The C315 BEE received 5 globes out of 5 (in Jan 2008 issue). Sound quality is incredible at this price. Performs beyond specs due to Powerdrive-S and Soft Clipping. Great stereo separation. In my opinion this is by far the best stereo amp at this price! Better than Denon 500 PMA and Cambridge 540A SE. If you want a good amp do yourself a favor and give this a listen. Beware this is a Stereo integrated amp, so there is no surround. Good Bass. Tone Defeat switch so you can bypass the Treble and Bass control circuits if you're not using them. The NAD musically slams into the market

Advantages: Plenty of slam, bass depth, wide soundstage
Disadvantages: Typical "dull" NAD looks, little else at this price

...I have been a fan of NAD electronics ever since the extremely infuriating moment when my first amplifier, a Rotel, suddenly cut itself off and the sound was never to return. I have to say with my previous 2 amps which have been NAD amplifiers, I am very impressed. Essentially NAD have 2 unmistakable characteristics; firstly their unassuming and arguably bland looks but more importantly, they also feature highly on the words sound quality. So with this latest offering of NAD I was of course eager to find out how these new one fared against the rest of the competition and whether this would continue NAD's tradition of putting sound quality first. NAD amp makes the music sing

Advantages: powerful, deep bass kick, excellent midrange, lots of inputs

...NAD have an extremely proud reputation of making not only very good quality amps but also positioning them at a surprisingly budget level. The NAD C320 is certainly nothing special to look at, looking quite chunky but very rebust with it. In fact the build quality is something which has been focused on. The fact that the NAD does not have a huge wattage per chanel does not mean that the NAD is left wanting for power. Despite the fairly low wattage, this is a very conservative rating and this is apparent when used on any sensitive speaker. T The volume dial can be turned up to high volumes without any audible adverse reactions. The amplifier is able to stay in control of the music without introducing any kind of distortion into the sonics. Nad C340 Amplifier

Advantages: Bags of power, build quality, sound quality
Disadvantages: Bland styling

...I purchased this amp 6 years ago for £270 along with the Arcam Alpha 7SE and a pair of B&W bookshelf speakers. As the C320's bigger brother, the C340 comes with the same impedance-sensing circuitry and an extra 10 watts of power on tap. So basically this amp will run any pair of speakers under a grand with minimal effort. Its not a looker this one, all the money is spent on the internals. No fancy lights or polished aluminium here, but the build quality is exellent, its built like a battleship and shares the same dull gray colour as one. A remote is included with all basic functions but you cant switch the unit on or off from it. ...This NAD has been on the market for some time but the question is does it reach the standards which NAD have become synonymous with. Well firstly it is built like a tank, it is very sturdy and although not much attention has focused on the aesthetics, clearly this amplifier has been built to last. Secondly it's power is almost a mirror image of it's colossal size, offering 120 watts per channel. This is important for two reasons, firstly some speakers have a higher impedance which basically means they are harder to drive and thus need more current, but secondly it means that the frequencies will not strain when you turn up the volume massively. ...As a fan of animated animal movies such as Happy Feet and Finding Nemo, I was pleased to see adverts for Bee Movie - it just looked so cute, of course I had to give it a try! In case you couldn't guess from the title, Bee Movie is based around, well, bees. More specifically, it is about a young bee called Barry who just can't decide what he wants to do with his life. It is traditional for all of the bees to only work in one job for their entire life, and he just can't choose which area is right for him. He decides to give pollen collecting a go, however whilst out collecting pollen he gets trapped in the rain and ends up inside a human house where everybody tries to kill him - with the exception of a woman called Vanessa who saves his life. Bee Movie: a film for all the family!

Advantages: Great for all the family! Funny, great company!!
Disadvantages: None! :)

...I have always loved Dreamworks films, like Disney Pixar, I find them really funny, especially as they're normally about talking animals who have no idea about real life, much like this film!!! Bee Movie is well about Bees, who knew such a funny film could be made about bees, those honey making black and yellow flies!!!! Barry the Bee (Jerry Seinfield) escapes from his hive, where he gets into a spot of trouble, when a human almost kills him and his wife Vanessa saves him, he gets an unhealthy obsession with speaking to her, but its against Bee law. But when he does pluck up the courage to speak to the human, Vanessa (Renee Zellweger), he discovers he is not only madly in love with her, but also that a travesty is happening...the humans are STEALING their honey!!!! WAY Bee-low par.

Advantages: Looks good
Disadvantages: Weak plot, even worse science

...CAVEAT/WARNING! Let me warn you in advance I am going to ruin the plot, mainly to debunk the science but also to save you a precious few hours of your life by helping you not waste them watching this movie. Bee Movie looks pretty but is incredibly low on plot and storyline. Take the idea that a bee (called Barry) whose just graduated (with a very weak joke about the shortness of the bee lifestyle) and is about to choose his job and place in life but decides he's unhappy with his life. But hang on! He HASN'T even GOT a life yet! So how can he be unhappy with it? Nope, he's unhappy at the prospect of his life. So big deal, so are over 90% of the working population! Live with it! So Barry goes out with the fliers, sees the outside would and meets and is saved by a human who he talks to breaking 25 million years of tradition. Hmmm...
