Rimmel Lycra Wear Nail Polishes Up Nicely!

Advantages: "Maxi Brush" makes for quick, even coverage, no chipping, and the shades are great!
Disadvantages: A little pricey for such a small bottle, wait till it's on offer!

Cutex Nail Polish Remover... kind to your nails not nasty!

Advantages: Kind to nails, quick and easy to use, not to harsh a smell comes off!
Disadvantages: None that I have found

...having gelatine in to help strengthen the nails and I firmly believe it is. My nails do not feel brittle once I have taken my nail polish off and they do not break or flake if I leave my nails with nothing on them for a while. In summary, I am really pleased with this product and will continue to use it for many years to come. It is quick and easy to use which is what I love about it and the smell is not off putting. ...When it comes to nail polish remover I normally buy the tesco cheap version as surely nail polish remover is nail polish remover, whether it is in a well known brand bottle or not! But no! I started wearing pale pink glittery nail varnish as it was the only thing that kept my nails strong and stopped them breaking etc, however my tescos cheap nail polish remover would not touch it, even after hours of painful scrubbing! I decided that it was about time I tried a slightly more expensive nail varnish remover to see whether it made a difference. Not being overly bothered, I grabbed the first one I saw which didn't look too cheap and bunged it in the shopping trolly. Cutex Gel Formula Nail Polish Remover

Advantages: Less spillages

...There are several different kinds of Cutex nail polish remover, and Ive probably tried them all. The new gel formula was the latest to catch my eye in Boots so I thought Id give it a try. The bottle is the same shape as alwayswide at the bottom, getting thinner towards the top, with a screw on cap. I think a flip lid might be better, and a squeezier bottle to make it easier to get the amount you want on your cotton wool. The white bottle with a light blue lid contains 200ml of a white, gel like formula which claims to be extra caring. I personally have not found this product to be any more harmful or more gentle than any other nail polish remover. I think the idea is that because its a soft gel like substance users will think its less harmful that the runny watery nail polish removers. You use this the same way as all other...

...this nail polish has saved my nails. they were extremely weak, flaking and always broke. this was until i found nail envy. i put it on my nails every day, even if i do not have colour on them. they are now very strong and hardly ever break. they never flake and hardly ever chip. i know this product is expensive, but does last a long time as long as you keep it in the box. if it is kept out of the box, then the polish goes thick and does not dry properly. i will never stop buying this product. personally i feel the original nail envy is the best product as it does everything. the other products do specific things for your nails and not everything. seriously considering making this one initial payment to make your nails strong...

Tesco Nail Polish Remover - Why pay more?

Advantages: Really effective!
Disadvantages: Dries out your nails a little bit

...I started buying Tesco's nail polish remover a few years ago and I personally find it very effective and as good as the other more expensive brands. It is very simple to use, all you need is a cotton wool ball which you put the nail polish remover on, and then you wipe it over your nail in order to remove any polish that is on there. It does smell very potent, but in my opinion all nail polish removers do! It does make your nails feel quite dry afterwards, so I tend to put a hand and nail cream on afterwards to get some moisture back into my nails, this I think is the only downside to using this product. This is a bargain at less that £1. It is cheaper than a lot of the other brands and is really effective. It comes in a 250ml size. Rimmel Lycra Wear Nail Polish

Advantages: Great lasting finish. Easy on the pocket

After the shock had worn off I decided it was a long way to take it back and claim a mis-purchase on the grounds of dodgy subliminal advertising and figured I might as well give it a bash with a test run. So in the interests of scientific & consumer research (not to mention my own sanity), I quickly got to work! On uncapping the bottle I was surprised to find the smell is quite pleasant - it smells faintly of nail polish but its also quite sweet, like its been perfumed - it reminds me of old fashioned sweets in big glass jars which you used to buy by the ounce. (The particular sweets I recall were called Scented Satins). A definite ?candy? bouquet to it anyhow. I haven't used Rimmel products for a while...

Thank goodness for Revlons classic nail polish!

Advantages: Great products that you can depend on!
Disadvantages: Bottle is a bit dull looking

The nice thing about the whole range is you can find almost any colour and get it in any of the three ranges that Rimmel have on offer which currently are Original , Sheer or Glimmer! So you can make your look appear Hard and Polished, Soft and Iridescent or Party Glam in the colour of your choice. I think all three of those ideas are self explanatory so I won't humour you!
