Colouring with naturtint

...Yes I admit it I am going grey. I coloured my hair recently using Naturtint hair colour. Naturtint make a range of 24 Permanent Hair Colorants, from Ebony black , chestnut reds through to Blondes. It is also possible to mix these colours to get your own individual shade . My hair is not a vibrant colour its a greying mouse brown. Since this was the first time I was using this brand of hair dye I decided to play safe and a I chose hazel nut blonde. they don?t do mouse brown. I bought my pack from a health store. I think you should be able to buy it from health shops chemists and on line too, one site selling is http://www.herbsgardenshealth.com. I paid £9 for a bottle of this colour. I am a Sensation or at least my hair colour is.

Advantages: Very cheap, good grey coverage and colour, easy to use.
Disadvantages: No conditioner

...I bought Stargazer hair dye in 'Golden Flame' which I visaged- especially from the bright red box that the dye is packaged in that it would be a gorgeous, rich and bright colour that would really catch peoples eyes- I love to have exciting new hair colours once in a while. My first application resulted in hardly any colour showing up at all, I had medium brown coloured hair and the directions on the box did suggest that you can use the dye on non bleached hair so I went ahead and did it as normal. I left the dye on for around 20 minutes as instructed as I only have shoulder length hair and my hair is also very fine so usually doesn't need a lot of dye and doesn't need to be left on for vast amounts of time as my hair usually absorbs the colour quite well. ...The Schwarzkopf Live Unlimited Gloss range is a little different to the Live Color XXL range. Instead of just giving you intense colour, you now get glossy locks with it! Because of this, the hair colour is a bit more expensive (£5 odd) but it's worth it! Anyone for mud coloured hair

...smoothed the sachet of after colour conditioner on and waited the required 2mins. After rinsing my hair felt incredibly soft, a first for me. Now came the time to dry it and really see what the colour was like. To be honest, it looked nothing like the colour on the box and I?m very disappointed. I wasted £6.49 on this product. I stared at myself in horror at what looked like a badly styled, dark brown wig on my head; the roots were also a nice shade of ginger ? not. (Though that is probably just because of the shades and tones in my natural colour) I might as well as bought a cheap dark brown colour but that wasn?t the effect I was after. I only hope this product fades fast when I wash it, which permanent dyes usually do on me. Overall, a nice product to use but unfortunately the outcome leaves a lot to be desired....
