Navigon stuns the market with innovations again

Advantages: Feature rich, easy to use, bluetooth to your phone for handsfree
Disadvantages: Doesn't have the community features that TomTom has.

...I've had the Navigon 7110 for well over a year, and as my 1st Sat-Nav I have to say I've been extremely impressed. I researched the market before buying, delving into forums, countless reviews and reached the conclusion that a TOMTOM = p*ss-poor. I found the Navigon and it was a breath of fresh air, it was the only sat nav that looked really really stylish (then). The 7110 has europe maps, and the 7100 has UK and Ireland maps, there is a £30 price difference between them. Not only did it look stylish, but it had features to match: ~~~~ Lane-Assist ~~~~ When your driving on a motorway it shows a 3d view of what lane you should be in (shown on the main image above..) - A bit gimmicky but remarkably handy when you decide to drive on english motorways (I'm from scotland and we only have 2 and a half motorways...

Navigon 8110: a good design but very poor support

...I purchased the Navigon 8110 about a month ago. From the start it wasn't doing what it was supposed to do: navigating. No gps reception, no gps receiver icon on the screen. So, after two days of trying and re-trying I tried to call the support desk. For about 5 times (each time 10 minutes waiting) no luck, the sixth time I called the sales dept. and within 3 seconds the phone was picked up! The lady promised me to send me the details for sending the device to the company for a repair. I wanted a new device because in this one I had no faith anymore. Next day: no mail received. Once again I called the support dept, this time it took me 3 times; and this time I was more lucky. The device was picked up the same day. After 2 weeks I received the same device. Now I had a gps icon on the screen, and after a hard reset it was functioning...

...I bought this phone on contract with T-Mobile 10 months about 10 months ago for £79. On T-Mobile you can upgrade your phone every twelve months at a discounted price. As my year is almost up I thought I would think about upgrading but not really found a phone that does much more than the one I have now. To be honest I don't think I'm going to change it. The Nokia 7210 is a phone Nokia should be proud of. It comes in a nice shade of blue, is a nice hand held size and is really slim and light and fits nicely in your pocket. It comes with a plug in camera which to be honest I haven't used much because when I want to take a picture I never have it with me because it is something else to carry. ...my partner has had a 7210 for nearly a year now and i always use his, so heres my oppion of a 7210 look- they look real good with there colour screen and futuristci buttonds and stuff, they come in a blue colour and the case is nice and diffrent. using the phone - the phone is easy to pick up like all the nokias are, the menu is self explanatary with easy to follow routes to what you want to do. But and heres what i think lets it down, the buttons are all funny, the buttons in the middle are like normal but the buttons on the outside which are 1,3,4,67,9* and hash are in this funnt shape that go round. Yoo will understand when you see one. But because the buttons are diffrent shaps and posistioned further apart it makes it hard to just type, you seem to be always checking that you have pressed the right button, which as you will...

NOKIA 7210 REVIEW

Advantages: It's a colour phone, can be purchased cheaply as it isnt as new now, comes with fun games, and is easy to use
Disadvantages: No built in camera, can be slow working if there are lots of games, texts and downloads saved on the phone, keypad takes some getting used to (for me at least), the irritating ON/OFF button - hard to press.

...I currently own the nokia 7210, and am generally very happy with it. It does have its downsides, but i would say that the pros outweigh the cons. Firstly, the biggest let down of this phone is the fact that it doesnt come with a built in camera. At the moment, nearly all colour phones produced come with built in cameras and this is a huge advantage. To purchase one, it can cost well over £50, and even then, the picture quality doesnt really match up to the other phones around. What i love about this phone is the free headset (i received one) which can be connected to a radio in the phone, and also played on a loudspeaker. The loudspeaker has the ability to play extra loud which is a great feature! I think that all the nokia 7210s come with the game; Bounce.
