Navman 320 - A Good Buy

Advantages: Does the job on a budget

...Navman have got it right in so many ways. There are a few grumbles I have but overall they have done very well. Are you looking to get the best Sat Nav system on the market with all the bells and whistles on it? No. Neither was I. To be honest what I needed was a basic system to tell me to turn at the correct point to ensure that I did not spend time getting lost and swearing loudly at anything and everyone. After browsing the net for a few days I found that I could get the 320i for just over £150 delivered. That to me seemed like very good value so I clicked away and got the system a few days later. Advantages: Lovely maps and Intuitive
Disadvantages: 4-digit Postcodes and POI alerts are just not good enough

...Having recently purchased my Navman PiN 570 and having used it for a few months I discovered that some streets were missing from the mapping software. A quick visit to Navman's website soon remedied this problem. I simply followed the easy instructions to update my Navman ST software to the 2005 version. After a few clicks and a few minutes the software was installed on my PC. After running for the first time I was asked to complete some simple questions and to connect my Navman PiN to the PC. Advantages: Good sound quality, Excellent re-route calculation.
Disadvantages: Gets a litte confused in busy cities due to the volume of roads.

Advantages: camera is a great idea, nice crisp display, good easy access buttons

...I looked around at anywhere likely to sell GPS systems and decided that I liked the features and look of the Navman best. Also, several sales people advised me against buying th Navman because the previous models were not the most reliable. But, I knew best, and so I bought it. Or rather, my wife bought it for me as it was a birthday present. It was a problem from day 1. The display (the hi-def display was the main reason I bought it) is incredibly clear and seems the largest of current GPS systems. NAVMAN My cheap reliable little helper

Advantages: Cheap, portable, back on track function, nearest parking and petrol buttons
Disadvantages: some of the mapping dater is a little small touch screen buttons

...After getting my last sat nav nicked I haven't been keen on getting another system, I finally made a decision to go out and get a replacement one, and the NAVMAN F20 seemed good value for money. Getting the device into the car up and running is really very easy really, simply attach the simple suction cup holder to a suitable place on the windscreen and plug in the cigarette lighter. Answer a few simple questions about the type of roads you like, etc. the navman is up and running. I didn't read the instructions, as it looked quite straightforward The only real problem I had was getting a fix on the GPS as you need to fix on to 4 satellites to get a lock on to your location The system is a little slow after entering in the information, so it's best to wait till the screen responses, otherwise it gets a little upset...

...Hi, The NavMan F20, Firstly remember this is one of the cheapest SatNav systems available right now. So, what do you get? Ok, you get the little unit itself, lots of instruction books, an in car cigarette charger and a windscreen mount. This leads me to my first issue of debate, You don't get an indoor charger. I ended up buying one off of ebay for it, for this reaon, The little unit lasts for about 3 hours unplugged, which is pretty good by any standards, for shorter journeys I charge it up and attatch it completely wirelessly, for those longer journeys I use the in car charger!
