...Having recently purchased my Navman PiN 570 and having used it for a few months I discovered that some streets were missing from the mapping software. A quick visit to Navman's website soon remedied this problem. I simply followed the easy instructions to update my Navman ST software to the 2005 version. After a few clicks and a few minutes the software was installed on my PC. After running for the first time I was asked to complete some simple questions and to connect my Navman PiN to the PC. Once this had been accomplished it was just a case of re-entering my original software serial number to verify my details which I had previously registered with Navman. ...Sat Nav in your car is a bit like Air Con; if you've haven't got it you probably won't miss it, but once you've had it - you can never do without it. And so it was when I changed jobs, handed back the company car and got my own set of wheels. I didn't want to pay the extortionate amount requested by the dealer for it to be fitted as standard and so opted to make fullest use of my iPaq 3850 and purchased this product from the gps warehouse - £290 inc VAT. The software loaded easily via the activesync connection, which you must have to complete the task and comes with your iPaq anyway, and I loaded the maps onto a 128Mb smart disk I had previously used for storing some music files. I selected the UK maps plus France for the occassional booze crooze and took it for its first test run. The kit slots easily into the windscreen...

  MAP READING YOU CAN'T GET WRONG

Advantages: directs you to your destination smoothly, great if you are on your own, no more trying to map read and drive, makes your journey safer
Disadvantages: sometimes gets the speed limit wrong, severe weather can make it slow by interferring with the satallite reception.

Navman S90i - A good Sat Nav choice

Advantages: Screen size, visability, ease of use, accurate routes
Disadvantages: Slow to recalculate

...To sum up in a sentance - I would buy this again. I previously had a Garmin product which worked very well, but eventuall gave up on me. This forced the purchase of a new model which must have European mapping. The S90i has that and a few other bits and so far has not sent me to any daft routes. I use the unit most weeks and have also used the traffic master service on it as well. Look & Feel The units is quite wide and the large screen is well presented, clear and easy to navigate through. It has enough configurations for me including colour schemes and night modes. It feels solid and the screen mounting is stable with no vibration - it stays stuck unlike my Garmin one. The screen menus were initially quite slow to respond (annoyingly so), but having updated it via the easy to use desktop sw it is only slow on the first...

Disadvantages: 4-digit Postcodes and POI alerts are just not good enough

...Destination, Distance to your next turn, Compass Heading, Current Time, Current Speed, Time to Destination, Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), One thing I really like about the Navman i520 software is the ability simply to draw an ?avoid area? directly on the map screen encompassing places that you want to avoid and the route is planned without passing through it. This is great if there are roadworks or your local knowledge about roads in your area allows you to plan a better than the SatNav when left to its own devices. The iCN 520 uses the same ?camera food? as my Vivitar 5355 ? Well designed GPS with a range of features

Advantages: Well designed and easy to use

...I was given this satellite navigation system for Christmas so I don't know what it cost. It is really easy and intuitive to use and works really well. The sat nav unit is quite small and subtle looking. It slots into a stand that attaches to the windscreen using a suction pad. You can put it in the centre of the windscreen or in the right hand corner. The stand attaches to the windscreen easily but is a bit fiddly to remove. It is powered via a lead that attaches to your car's cigarette lighter for charging. This charges it, so you don't have to use the lead all the time. The Navman has a range of useful features including a choice of voices and languages, pre-programmed UK maps, ability to store your favourite destinations and your home, and various options such as avoiding motorways or toll roads, and shortest or quickest...

I first heard this album when I was given a free taster to it, which played about 30 seconds of each song; this then led me to buy the full album. I was already a fan, and was looking forward to seeing him when he toured last year. His dark lyrics and melancholy melodies really blew me away, and I wanted to hear more. In this album, he uses assistance from members of Beck?s backing band. It took only three weeks to record, and the album itself deals with the break up of a long term relationship. His lyrics are just as deep as in other albums, but with hints of self-pity never seen before.   A to B the Easy Way - the Navman iCN 520

Advantages: Small, portable, reasonable price

...the preferred one using the button on the left of the display. The map can be displayed in a number of ways - the 3D move map is nice and varies in scale depending on your speed. Smaller when you are slow and backing out to a broader view when travelling fast. An excellent feature. Navman recommend letting the unit establish a GPS fix before starting off your journey. Typically this takes 2 minutes. On the move it takes 5 minutes. It can calculate a route before the GPS fix but cannot direct you. I recommend waiting for the fix - it also has the benefit of letting the car engine oil get towards operating temperature which is good for it. Warning - I had one journey where it simply could not get a GPS fix. I set off before a GPS fix was established and it never caught up. On returning home I had to reset the unit to get it to work again. Only...

Advantages: Helps guide you around other countries. Easy to install

They originally come with UK/Europe maps so these are a brilliant upgrade if you are considering taking your car abroad or hiring a car and driving over there. These are a lot easier than using a standard map when you are visiting another country and make getting around easy. We have just bought one of these as we are planning a trip to the USA and decided one of these would be useful. I have never been abroad so certainly wont know my way around.
