NavMan F20 gets you there

Advantages: Easy to use, Speed camera detection
Disadvantages: None

...of different countries. It can also be charged using a USB port. An added bonus of the NavMan is that it also has fixed speed canera detection. I have also had the chance to use a Tom Tom SatNav and in comparisson the NavMan F20 is so much better, looks better, maps are better and is so simple to use. I would recommend this over anything else....

A package of maps worth having

Advantages: Ease of use and price

...Having used a Tom Tom Go 700 for a number of years, I decided to update the maps of Western Europe. Tom Tom uses software called Tom Tom Home which is used to download the updated maps. Having connected Tom Tom Go 700 to my PC, via a USB cable, it was a simple matter of clicling on the relevant icon on the Home Software, paying for the maps, and downloading them over the internet. Payment was straight forward. It is undertaken electronically either by credit or debit card, and the down load commenced. Because of the size of the map file, it took a little time to download (I do have broadband running at 8mb band width, so I suppose a lesser bandwith will take longer. Use of the system is simplicity itself. You are given a choice of country, and then you select address, or point of interest....

  The F20 Leads Me To My Destination

Advantages: easy to use, slim, one of the cheapest about at the moment
Disadvantages: A lot of hidden costs, no AC adapter

Of course over the last few years these little in car devices seem to have been growing popularity but this years run up to Christmas has really seen an explosion in the advertising and purchase of them. So being into my gadgets and not having one I decided with the offers about it was time to invest, especially as I spend a lot of my working week in the car going from one place to another. I did a bit of research on which one to go for and in the end went into Halfords and asked the assistant. I expected the hard sale and to be pushed towards some top of the range model that was miles out of my price range. Navman F20, cheap but useful

Advantages: Great price, small size, auto re-route.
Disadvantages: Iffy post code search, and can take a while to locate sattellites.

My Navman F20

Advantages: Does all you want for a fraction of the cost of other systems
Disadvantages: No mains included, no PC connectivity kit included

Advantages: McRaes usual thought-provoking lyrics
Disadvantages: Not as easy to get absrobed into as previous albums

...All Maps Welcome is the third album from Tom McRae, after his self-titled album, Tom McRe, and then Just Like Blood. I first heard this album when I was given a free taster to it, which played about 30 seconds of each song; this then led me to buy the full album. I was already a fan, and was looking forward to seeing him when he toured last year. His dark lyrics and melancholy melodies really blew me away, and I wanted to hear more. In this album, he uses assistance from members of Beck?s backing band. It took only three weeks to record, and the album itself deals with the break up of a long term relationship. His lyrics are just as deep as in other albums, but with hints of self-pity never seen before. Disadvantages: 4-digit Postcodes and POI alerts are just not good enough

Advantages: Excellent navigation, easy to install and dismount
Disadvantages: does not have mp3 player like other nav systems

Nav Man F20

Advantages: Easy to use, clear touch screen, petrol button
Disadvantages: Occasionally voice directions get confusing

...I bought the Navman F20 for my girlfriend for xmas, but have found myself using it more than she does. I find it fun to use. The screen is big and clear, yes the F20 is wider than the TomTom etc, but it is very slim in comparison. The touch screen is easy to use, and the in-screen buttons and options are simple to follow. From first taking it out of the box we had it up and running in under 2 minutes. I bought this product because it was at the cheaper end of the market at £150 from Argos. It comes with the unit, an in car cradle and an in car charger, I have heard complaints that it doesn't come with a wall charger or a PC connection cable, but we only use this product in the car, so we do not have a need to charge it in the house.
