...This Sat Nav is a lovely looking kit. it is sleek and the buttons are well placed and are of good quality. The screen is extremely clear and large. It is also nice and robust Initial startup requires the SD card to be inserted and then the Maps loaded, this takes moments - new maps and upgrades are available from the Navman website - excellent! To find a destination, the postcode entry screen takes a little time to load but then you can quickly and easily find your destination through several menus. It calculates routes extremely quickly and options such as motorway route, speed/distance options mean multiple routes can be found the Navman voice isn't too annoying. if you take a wrong turn or choose to go a different way the Navman recalculates quite quickly. Its very accurate for your position and has only once got confused...

...If your sense of direction is as bad as mine, then you will find GPS a godsend! This is my second GPS unit (it suffered the same fate as many of my phones, i accidentally sat on it!). I brought the ICN 510 for around £360 from ebuyer.com General use: ------------------ The screen is a fair size, and is nice and bright. The screen is touchscreen, making it very easy to use, the stylus is neatly stored in the righthand side of the unit, just like a PDA. Unfortunatly to use GPS, you must lift up the antenna, this is quite a large antenna, it will not fit into my shirt pocket unless i first shut up the antenna. Are you looking to get the best Sat Nav system on the market with all the bells and whistles on it? No. Neither was I. To be honest what I needed was a basic system to tell me to turn at the correct point to ensure that I did not spend time getting lost and swearing loudly at anything and everyone. ...Having recently purchased my Navman PiN 570 and having used it for a few months I discovered that some streets were missing from the mapping software. A quick visit to Navman's website soon remedied this problem. I simply followed the easy instructions to update my Navman ST software to the 2005 version. After a few clicks and a few minutes the software was installed on my PC. After running for the first time I was asked to complete some simple questions and to connect my Navman PiN to the PC. Once this had been accomplished it was just a case of re-entering my original software serial number to verify my details which I had previously registered with Navman. Also, several sales people advised me against buying th Navman because the previous models were not the most reliable. But, I knew best, and so I bought it.
