...actually pretty impressive. Function The notebook works quite well with wireless internet and doesn't cut off often as I have found with wi-fi on some other laptops. It also has an impressive battery life, in a recent car journey, I found it lasted about 3 and 3/4 hours, easily enough time for all of the film I was watching as well as some of another. It is available in two versions, Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP Home., but the Linux has 512Mb of RAM and an 80Gb hard disk, the Windows one has 1Gb of RAM and a 120Gb drive. I personally own the windows version, since I know more about the operating system and prefer the high memory levels. The rest of it's specifications are pretty average for a note book and it runs as such. Overall The Toshiba NB100 is great if you're japanese and/or believe things should be made...

Twee little Tosh?..

Advantages: Compact and Powerful
Disadvantages: Fiddly

I am happy to carry my phone separately and just boot up my Netbook PC when the need dictates. With a plethora of choice for me familiarity and trust in the Toshiba brand attracted me to the mini marvel. I gleefully selected My Toshiba NB100 from Amazon, electronically submitted payment of £249.98 and waited for the postman to arrive. This he did some two days later in April 2009 bringing a simply boxed package containing a Toshiba NB100-12A 8.9-inch Netbook, Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, Windows XP Home When you look on Amazon now you will see this model has already been superceded by a version with 160 GB HDD,?? but what the heck I am really quite pleased with mine. NB - Natasha Bedingfield

Advantages: It's a fab album with some really great songs!

...NB is the 2nd album from Natasha Bedingfield. For anyone who is not familiar with Natasha, she is the younger sister of Daniel Bedingfield. Natasha rose to fame in 2004 with her debut album 'Unwritten' which proved to be very popular not only the UK but also in America. A very stylish, great looking netbook and a great keyboard!

Advantages: Keyboard's separated keys, great webcam, great looks
Disadvantages: A little pricey if you buy new, touchpad not great to use if you have dry fingers

You'll be able to find this NB200 netbook from a Toshiba Outlet for about £299, but bear in mind it'll be a reconditioned laptop, not new...but it will have been fully tested & data cleansed to an as new standard. This is what I did, and I didn't even notice it was reconditioned until it said that on the manual....

Advantages: It's a Marshall, amazing sound, can adapt to many situations, professional build, easy tube access

Vintage VRS100 - Blue

Advantages: The Wilkinson hardware. The playability. Good value.
Disadvantages: The blue finish hides the flamed maple veneer. Tone+Volume knobs. Serial number format.

...Vintage VRS100 Well first off I paid £150 for this. Ex-demo, so not new, not second hand, think in-between the two. This is a PRS copy and Vintage have pretty much nailed the body shape! It's a Double-cut. Vintage says the VRS means "Vintage Rock Series". The finish I chose for this guitar was the "through blue". A very dark blue finish on the front with a lighter greeny-blue on the back and neck. This finish is semi transparent (you can see the wood). Through blue is now a discontinued colour. For the body 3 pieces of Eastern poplar have been used. A bookmatched flamed maple veneer is glued on top. The top of the guitar is carved while the back is contoured for comfort. The neck is nice and chunky set neck and is made up of 2 pieces of maple with a 1 piece rosewood fingerboard. Upon the fretboard are 24 medium frets...
