NBA live 09 read before you buy

Advantages: NBA 365 really does make the game relalistic, Plenty of game modes mean there is plenty to do
Disadvantages: Gamplay is sloppy, player visuals are not great for lesser known players

...Dissapointed is all i can say really. This game had huge potential, the NBA live 365 was ingenious, and i was so excitied about this title i even pre ordered it. The idea behind it had potential, the hot streak and updated trade as they happen, really made the game feel like a real franchise. But the gameplay is sloppy and feels slow, for anyone that plays or watched basketball regularily this would be a waste of your hard earned cash. The game just doesn`t do justice to the the real thing, obviously i wasn`t expecting mirracles, but still it just is not relaistic enough, running through players, clear travels towards the basket. The pace just isn`t speedy enough either, i had to pump the game speed option up to almost full to even get a sense of realism. The graphics are nothing to write home about either, the big names are almost...

There are 2 types of membership available, namely Gold and Silver. Silver is a free membership which is available to all Xbox owners. Advantages: Lengthy gameplay in seasons, challenges and unlockables

...the time you would spend playing. In the set up options for the game, you can choose how many games you would like to play each season, so you don?t have to play the full season. You can also decide the lengths of each quarter of the game, ranging from 1 minute to a full 15 minutes each quarter. Overall, the game is really good considering the format of the game, and even though there are some minor glitches like players running through each other and not the best of graphics, the hours you can spend playing the game and the overall life of the game that has been created through challenges and various modes of the game make up for this. I would definitely recommend buying this game or the next version, NBA Live 09, and you will have certainly got your money?s worth. Thanks for reading...

A lively game

Advantages: Great sound and extremely playable game. A official game and multi-player heaven. The face aminations are totally wicked,overall the graphics are wicked.
Disadvantages: The Al is sometimes annoying the season mode is probably only for basketball nuts as it takes 10 seasons to complete.

EA Bounces Back with NBA Live 2003

Advantages: Good Game

...last years nba live 2002 left something to be desired and the franchise was looking rather stale. This year the game has been given an overhaul to make it an all-round better experience. The developers have found a happy medium between exciting gameplay and realistic simulation, and the players can perform all manner of crazy and impossible moves, all of which still remain within the rules of basketball. The controls have been vastly improved with the right analog stick becoming the Freestyle control (this has appeared in other EA Sports Games) to give players a huge range of moves to perform. Another Criticism levelled at last year's release was the dodgy Al. This time round the CPU players are much more intelligent making for a more rewarding game. ...The live 12 month gold card enables the player to play online for a year. When i first received it i accessed it very quickly and was surprised to see how easily i was able to get online and play with millions of people all around the world. All i needed to do was enter the code and i could start playing. The benefits of going live is mainly playing against people all around the world and making new friends. But if you are a hardcore gamer, this is the perfect place to be as you get to challenge the best around the world and you even get ranked. What's more is that you can even download exclusive things only from the xbox live marketplace where you can't get from anywhere else. Overall: A must get for all xbox 360 owners. It completes the console and makes the xbxo 360 that much better....

...Xbox Live is good value compared to some other online subscriptions e.g. World of Warcradt or Everquest as with these you pay everymonth just for one game, whereas with xbox live you only pay once to go online with pretty much all your games. You then get tempted, however, to pay for extra online contect such as extra levels, characters, backdrops for your xbox live dashboard, arcade games etc. etc. So it's never as cheap as it seems! The service on xbox live is good and it's rare to have connection issues so gameplat online tends to be smooth. Occasionally you may shoot at someone only to find they already moved- lag is rare but does happen and can be annoying. The range of games that can be played online is excellent, and isn't just shooting and fighting! Guitar hero plays online brilliantly with options for guitar battles...
