...42nd Street is a bit like the Venue with seats! The club itself is to be found just off the town hall end of deansgate near the model shop. It originally opened as a gay bar being named after the gay street in New York, but it is a straight club these days. The playlist of a weekend is predominantly indie, pretty much the same list of favourites as most indie clubs in town. You can often get a pound of entrance fee if you find a relevant flyer to clutch at the door. There are hefty bouncers on the door who won't let you in if you are wearing a Footy shirt. Also, watch out if you are wearing Doc's as the doormen like to stamp on them under the pretence of checking for steel toecaps! Once you are inside, the decor is quite plush for an club of this kind. ...this film has a huge kitsch following nowadays and deservedly so, it is an awesome modern musical a nd has provided the sound track for many a teenager. it is funny (indeed very) and the songs are catchy and eminently singable. everyone i know has watched it nd love it for right or wrong reasons, but it never fails to make an impression. you have to love the costumes and hair cuts (particularly john travolta) and the corny cheesy american style is simply gorgeous. it epitomises everything about the american high school stereotype anmd that is why i love it.... ...I've just bought a 2nd hand VTS, S plate, only 14000 miles, for £6900. Going from a 1.2 Nova to a 1.6i 16v with 120bhp took a bit of getting used to, but I am now having so much fun. The 2nd gear goes on upto 7500rpm, to a speed of 65mph, getting you to 60 in 7.7 secs. This car just loves being driven hard and fast. Take it above 4000rpm in 2nd or 3rd gears the car just errupts. The cornering is amazing compared to the Nova I used to drive. They may only be 14 inch alloys, but the rubber sticks to the road with ease. You're in for a bumby ride though as the suspension is on the hard side. It will corner a lot better than most other hot-hatches on the road today. Insurance is the only downer, with it being in group 14. The after-mod market is full of products to improve the VTS. Overall, probably the most fun you can have in a 1... Read review

...Well...off to Uni or you live in manchester and got a spare tuesday night, then pop along to 42nd street just off deansgate and you'll not go amiss. This night aimed at students is very popular because they play all types of music from the beatles to fatboy slim and even the prodigy if you ask the DJ nicely. Drinks are a very cheap 1 pound on a tuesday, YES 1 pound for most drinks and free entry before 10:30 - with a flyer :-) The location of 42nd Street is easy to find as it is just of deansgate near the bootle St Police Station so theres never any trouble - well I haven't seen any. The atmosphere is friendly and there is always a happy vibe in the club and the dress code is totally relaxed apart from jogging bottoms are not allowed but baggy combats and shirts are the order of the day for most people. ...I would highly reccomend the NCT classes. I have found them brilliant when I was expecting my first child, and although I didn't go 2nd time around they do do refresher classes too, but seeing so I had only an 11 month age gap I could still remember everything 2nd time. The nct antenatal Classes are generally smalland are aimed at giving informationabout all aspects of pregnancy and birth, includingwhat happens in labour, pain relief options, relaxation, breathing and massage. The classes are run by NCT- trained antenatal teachers and are often held in their own homes (mine was) My classes also welcomed partners although he turned the invertation down!!! I started at week 30 and had 8 2 hour weekly classes in the evenings. There was 10 women in my class.... Read review

The 1st is the longer and well worth hearing, and there is a compilation set of variations from a number of Russian contemporaries that, if not up to the standard of the Diabelli, is none the worse for that. ...The Laverda 650 Sport is a fantastic bike, I loved it. Mine was a 1995 model with kevlar fairing and all singing and dancing extras such at brembo brakes, white power suspension etc etc. I would just like to warn all those thinking of buying one 2nd hand or new (if you can find one). Check with 3x for engine upgrades. My bike was one of the original bikes and had somehow missed all the upgrades, the result being the big end blew up. One dead engine that I couldnt afford to replace. New parts are expensive, 2nd hand ones not much better. If you want one, check out the upgrades, if it hasnt had them, dont touch unless you have deep pockets. Also give it a lot of oil, it drinks it like an alcholic drinks spirit.... Read review

...The Nissan Bluebird is regarded by many as a car without style or any kind of presence what so ever. The 'many' in this case are wrong. The Nissan Bluebird as a car has many advantages over any other family sized 2nd hand car. Firstly it is a Nissan, this to many means frumpy car driven by housewives. To those in the know they know this means the engine is good for atleast 500,000 miles (if not more) and the fuel economy will be around 45 mpg for a properly tuned engine. For a 1.6 litre engine (like mine) thats not bad. Secondly, the build quality for the car as a whole will be excellent, simple but effective, no frills, sound car. The parts are cheap as Nissan have a huge parts dealership network spanning the entire country so they are also easy to get hold of. Another thing about Nissan Bluebirds is that if you have 3 kids...
