Jess Klein certainly Draws You Near

Advantages: Soulful and very expressive vocals, several excellent tracks

...CD Review: Jess Klein ? ?Draw Them Near? (2000) Jess Klein ? not exactly a household name, is she? No, sadly she isn?t. For your delectation and amusement, I?ve trawled through my extensive CD trove to find Jess Klein?s third solo album, 2000?s ?Draw Them Near?, a little-known but very likeable piece of Americana. Whilst she?s labelled as a folk artist, her work veers more towards the alt-country and rock genres, her strong and forthright voice supported by plenty of bold and yet sympathetic electric guitars. Whilst this album doesn?t necessarily contain enough to make it one of my top 20 favourite CDs, there?s still quite a bit to enjoy ? and since Jess sounds uncannily like Suzanna Hoffs from The Bangles at times, she?s won me over straight away! Meet the wedding belle ... without a ring

Advantages: Witty and a very funny read
Disadvantages: None

...a dance every time she sees him. But when eventually Zoe and Ryan begin to get on, the past decides to catch up with her and Zoe realises that she can't keep running from the past forever. ~ My opinion ~ Zoe is the perfect main character - bright, cheerful, friendly and optimistic about her new life in the USA, despite her difficult past, which instantly made me feel sorry for her and in turn, like her and want her to get everything she wants from life. She is also a perfect character because she is prone to making a fool of herself, including flashing her Superwoman knickers to Ryan's colleagues and shooting her new boss in the eye with a toy bow and arrow. Accidents and embarrassing situations seem to find her wherever she goes and this makes her even more loveable. We don't see anything of Jason, the ex-fiancé, until near...

You can forget all future plans...

Advantages: Original, a well executed combination of dance, pop and alternative.
Disadvantages: Lyrics can seem somewhat dumbfounding, a few weak links.

...collective has shown interest in collaborating with none other than Jay-Z on their next outing, so one can only wonder what's in store for the sophomore release. Don't be fooled by the "rave" tag that now seems to be permanently attached to Klaxons. Sure there are a number of dance elements to be found on this exceptional album, but not nearly as much as you'd expect. This album is a rather eccentric yet creative concoction of pop, electro punk and literature. Regardless of whether or not it's rave, new rave or whatever they want to call it this week, I suggest you pull out your neon coloured Nikes, skinny jeans and glow sticks and rave it up. A Near Perfect Scanner

Advantages: Sooooo many features
Disadvantages: A little slow to scan at the highest resolution

...?re the cheapest country to buy electronic items in that people would buy something here to take abroad? Or are we? WHAT'S THE DAMAGE? I have seen the Lide 25 for roughly the same price at various sites (correct at August 2009), e.g. Amazon.co.uk is advertising it for £49.23 and Play.com has it at £49.99. OVERALL RATING? All in all I would rate the Lide 25 a strong 4.5 out of 5 for being a near perfect scanner for my needs. NB: also published by myself on other sites under the same username...

A castle near Boston???!!!

...My parents and I were meeting some friends who lived near Braintree and we needed somewhere nearby to stay. My parents had stayed in this hotel before and like it so it was an obvious choice for us. LOCATION: The hotel is located in Braintree which is a town just outside of Boston. It is located just off a main highway so is useful for connecting to other areas. You can?t miss the hotel as it designed to look like a castle (or at least the USA version of a castle ? faux medieval is not my favourite look!). It is directly opposite a large mall, which of course I made full use of! It?s not that convenient for Boston and is really more of a business hotel than a tourist one. If you are travelling into the city it?s about a 25 minute drive or the hotel does have a free shuttle which will take you to the ?T?, the Boston transport...
