...One of the TVs in my house has just been replaced, we was lucky enough to get a deal on the Samsung PS50b451 instead of it costing around the £700 asking price a friend of ours used her staff discount and along with some vouchers, the TV cost us around £350 which is brilliant for what it is. bit of a bargain actually. I thought I would review it to see if it is actually worth the £700 asking price to those who aren?t as lucky as us to have a friend who works in a shop that sells them. Why choose this one? Nec = Never Even Consider it!

Advantages: Video camera and calling capability, good compared to other phones available
Disadvantages: Very big and bulky, a pain to use, generally not very good

NEC = Not Exactly Clever

Advantages: Ipod-cool looks, bright screen, large buttons, long battery life
Disadvantages: No features, weak camera, poor menu selection and options

The Canon EOS 50D superb image quality.

Advantages: Superb image quality, well built, High resolution, low noise, Excellent spec.
Disadvantages: Only minor gripes, no CF card included, large and heavy compared to some.

Ideal for NEC Halls

Advantages: Great location for NEC, Large beds
Disadvantages: Restaurant small and very busy

...I used this hotel when visiting the Caravan and Boat Show in the NEC Halls and also the next day a different hall for the France exhibition. It is conveninetly located as you drive past all the halls to get to it. It would be an approx 15 minute walk from the hotel to the main halls and apparently there is a shorter route that can be taken but when I was there this was blocked up or a 2 minute trip in the car. The hotel has been extended in the last year and is very popular so it's advised to book in advance. This hotel frequently has offers on the room rates, so it's worth keeping an eye out for. The staff are very polite and friendly as soon as you walk in, checking in was very quick and efficient. They had put 2 DVDs really cheap, unfortunately I was not there to get them, but my mom was so I had no option but to watch these 2 films. These 2 films were 50 First Dates and Maid in Manhattan. They were both only £5 each so it was definitely worth it, according to both my mom and Woolworths. This film follows a girl called Lucy, who had a very fatal car accident, and she is diagnosed with amnesia, so every single day she thinks that it's the day of her accident. However, this person called Henry, is new in Hawaii and meets her one day, at a cafe. He doesn't know she has amnesia and all of a sudden the say they'll meet each other the next day, only she had totally forgotten about that arrangement. DVD Writing In My NEC of The Woods

Advantages: Reads practically everything. Writes to TWO formats (+RW and -RW)
Disadvantages: None so far, but disk costs make it more important not to waste any

...news is that, unlike Betamax and VHS tapes, at least these things are all the same shape, so that, given a sufficiently versatile machine, it should be possible to read/play them all, even if you can only record one of them. NEC ND-1300A And this is where I FINALLY get to the point. I?ve just bought a NEC ND-1300a DVD Re-Writer to put in my latest reincarnation of my PC. Not only can it read all the existing formats of DVD, but unlike the vast majority of its peers, it can actually write to TWO of them, not the more normal one. Review of NEC MultiSpin ND-1300A

Jump to LCD with NEC

Advantages: Bright & clear display. Fast update times. Great for photo editing and games!
Disadvantages: Expensive. Fiddly 'stick' control on front panel.

The second thing I learnt is that there are four main types of LCD panel: - TN + Film - IPS (superceded by Super IPS, or S-IPS) - MVA - PVA I shan't go into the details - suffice to say that if you wish to read more about them, then a quick Google for "Types of LCD panel" will return most of the information you could require. To cut a long story short though, S-IPS is the preferred type of display for photo editing because of it's wide viewing angle. Before I finally get onto the device itself, it's worth mentioning the last piece of advice that I found, which settled me upon this monitor. Apparently, the best monitors are Eizo. The NEC is a winner

Advantages: Really cheap multi function phone
Disadvantages: the 3 network, no MP3 ringtone

...I wanted a flip phone with bluetooth, built in QUALITY camera, GPS and I wanted it cheap. I checked reviews on a whole stack of flip phones and they were mainly out of my price range or on such expensive contracts there was no way I could afford them by the month. Others had some oft repeated operation problems that made me concerned as to thier useability. I found the NEC as an offer for £30 a month, one year contract with the first 10 months free...yes 10 months of a one year contract free. I worked out with this deal I would get all my calls and texts for a year for £60 PLUS the flip phone of my dreams. I read every review I could find on this phone and found none detailing anything other than sulking ex-Nokia users or folk moaning about the battery life.
