...~Introduction~ I have had the Nec e606 for about three months now. I previously had the Motorola a835, which decided to break so I needed to replace it. The problem is that I have a contract with 3 Mobile; I think you will all sigh at that, and that means that I can only put my sim card in a 3 Mobile telephone. As if that?s not bad enough, it has to be a contract and not a pre pay phone. Ideal for NEC Halls

Advantages: Great location for NEC, Large beds
Disadvantages: Restaurant small and very busy

...I used this hotel when visiting the Caravan and Boat Show in the NEC Halls and also the next day a different hall for the France exhibition. It is conveninetly located as you drive past all the halls to get to it. It would be an approx 15 minute walk from the hotel to the main halls and apparently there is a shorter route that can be taken but when I was there this was blocked up or a 2 minute trip in the car. The hotel has been extended in the last year and is very popular so it's advised to book in advance. This hotel frequently has offers on the room rates, so it's worth keeping an eye out for. The staff are very polite and friendly as soon as you walk in, checking in was very quick and efficient. As a reader, it will co-operate with almost anything put into it, CD-Audio, DVD-Movie, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, DVD-R(W), DVD+R(W),CD-R(W) and CD-ROM (also a whole host of sub-formats like Interactive). When it comes to connecting it, I?ve taken the view that it probably needs to be either on its own dedicated IDE cable, or at the very least, the Master drive on that cable. Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive

Advantages: Lots of space for all your gaming needs.
Disadvantages: Price, Dust, Missing GB

...My personal experience with the Xbox 360 hard drive has been fairly positive. The ability to store music, films, videos and of course games saves is one that no Xbox gamer should be without. 120 GB of memory is more than enough for the average gamer. The hard drive is well designed to blend with the console perfectly. It is small and easy to store. However the price is pretty heavy compared to the cheaper 20GB versions. A problem with the memory is the fact that the hard drive does not actually have 120GB, obviously it wouldn't be exactly due to the need for the running files but several GB are actually missing. Regular cleaning is advised as dust tends to collect on the hard drive but a sharp blow into the docking port is sufficient to clear this. All in all this product is an incredibly useful addition to any Xbox 360 gamers...

Jump to LCD with NEC

Advantages: Bright & clear display. Fast update times. Great for photo editing and games!
Disadvantages: Expensive. Fiddly 'stick' control on front panel.

The second thing I learnt is that there are four main types of LCD panel: - TN + Film - IPS (superceded by Super IPS, or S-IPS) - MVA - PVA I shan't go into the details - suffice to say that if you wish to read more about them, then a quick Google for "Types of LCD panel" will return most of the information you could require. To cut a long story short though, S-IPS is the preferred type of display for photo editing because of it's wide viewing angle. Before I finally get onto the device itself, it's worth mentioning the last piece of advice that I found, which settled me upon this monitor. Apparently, the best monitors are Eizo. The NEC is a winner

Advantages: Really cheap multi function phone
Disadvantages: the 3 network, no MP3 ringtone

...I wanted a flip phone with bluetooth, built in QUALITY camera, GPS and I wanted it cheap. I checked reviews on a whole stack of flip phones and they were mainly out of my price range or on such expensive contracts there was no way I could afford them by the month. Others had some oft repeated operation problems that made me concerned as to thier useability. I found the NEC as an offer for £30 a month, one year contract with the first 10 months free...yes 10 months of a one year contract free. I worked out with this deal I would get all my calls and texts for a year for £60 PLUS the flip phone of my dreams. I read every review I could find on this phone and found none detailing anything other than sulking ex-Nokia users or folk moaning about the battery life. NE(C) Good?

Advantages: Camera, music/video player, 3G compatible

...Like most other users, I got this phone when I joined the 3 network on the 3Pay tariff. i had an old Nokia phone on O2 PAYG which was nearing the end of it's life so I decided to trade it in and get a camera phone. I won't be including a review of 3Pay as thats a seperate op in itself, but I will be concentrating on the phone. So, first impressions? It's big. It's not the biggest phone I've seen, but it is still quite large in the height and width stakes. One thing in it's favour is that it's not too deep so it can sit in a suit pocket without making too much of an impression. Personally I like bigger phones as you're more 'aware' of them and you can feel them in your pocket so they're unlikely to fall out and you wouldn't realise.
