NEC Monitor MultiSync LCD1560NX
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1560NX by
Zone-2000
Advantages: Excellent color quality
Disadvantages: Rare model, incase it requires fixing
...The company is an old and huge company, and their monitors give a very satisfactory performance generally, but since they have launched NEC Multisync 1560NX, it totally changes your opinion about this company ! this monitor gives an EXCELLENT color quality, you will be amazed by the details that it will brought up, not just that its design is also great however small size of this monitor is the only downside and its not cheap either according to its size but when you will go a bit further into specs you'll know that your getting the right monitor for the right credit, their are very low chances of it getting into bad shape if you'll treat it right however one cannot ignore the chances, and if you will require it to fix the monitor then your going to face problems number one its LCD, number two its NEC...

NEC MultiSync LCD1770NX
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1770NX by
owais997
Advantages: circular base, smooth, rounded edges with easy height and tilt and swivel adjustability
Disadvantages: The viewing angle loses contrast pretty quickly
...The 17” NEC MultiSync LCD1770NX, a flat-panel monitor featuring a thin-frame design, enhances your visual experience with superior screen performance, advanced technologies and comforting design elements. This model's Ambix dual-input technology ensures compatibility with today's and tomorrow's computer systems, while an integrated USB 2.0 hub connects you to all of your peripherals.
The LCD1770NX model has a circular base, smooth, rounded edges with easy height and tilt and swivel adjustability. This display does not
pivot.
The viewing angle loses contrast pretty quickly when moving left to right in front of the screen, but I found text to be very legible, even at small point sizes.
Straight out of the box, and without adjustment, the LCD1770NX display had a distinct blue cast, most noticeable in gray areas of an image...

Make the change to TFT with the NEC Multisync
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1760NX by
Patrinfikulo
Advantages: Fast response time; excellent image quality; sleek design
Disadvantages: Viewing from acute angles results in a poorer image; monitor button labelling
...to the job. Another in the long list of positives is that my 1760NX arrived with no dead or stuck pixels. Other people that I have recommended this monitor have reported much the same to me. NEC quality control seems to be excellent, and this is important because many manufacturers will not let you return it without a certain number of dead pixels.
All in all the 1760NX offers up-to-date features and a very fast screen response time, in a minimalist but ultimately stylish package that is perfect for use in dual display set-up. It's front image is excellent, but is probably better for a single user as acute angle viewing is not up to the same standards. With a little bit of time invested in research it is possible to get a good price, and the LCD definitely represents a very attractive alternative to 19" LCDs and CRTs, and a dual 1760NX display...

NEC MultiSync LCD1770NX
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1770NX by
dansz
Advantages: Display quality, viewing angles, price
Disadvantages: Not quite as bright as some
...For its price, an excellent quality monitor. If you are a graphics designer looking for colour calibrated monitors then go elsewhere, but as an IT Administrator I have two of these on my desk that I use for 9 hours a day.
No eye strain, colour balance is good, image quality is superb. In our office we have over 30 of these and not one has developed a fault, dead pixel or any other problems. The image is consistent from one monitor to another as well (suprisingly uncommon on LCD monitors!)
It could be a little brighter - I have a Dell monitor next to my NECs and its *slightly* brighter - but you only notice this because they're next to each other.
All in, you won't regret spending the money. Decent resolution, decent size at a decent price....

A Good Performing Monitor!
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1550V by
sbutler1
Advantages: Good quality, stylish looks
Disadvantages: May not be ideal for very serious gamers!
...I got this monitor as a present for my 14th birthday and it has lasted me very well over the course of the last 4 years. It has been perfect for my needs and requirements and I have been very pleased with it and hopefully it has a few more years left in it!
The main reason my parents got me a flat screen was because my desk is very small and a normal sized monitor would have been far too large. If you have similar problem spaces and are looking for a small flat screen monitor then the NEC MultiSync LCD1550V would be ideal for you!
Obviously, this all depends on what you are looking for from your monitor, but for a simple flat screen monitor for your PC, this is definitely adequate. I use my computer for doing work, browsing the internet and the odd (but not very serious) gaming. If you are like me, then you should consider...

Basically it's a flat screen monitor
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1960NXi by
moo_trendy_cow
Advantages: Great Image Quality
Disadvantages: Hard to use the monitor buttons
...the name!!!) ooh yes it's called NEC MultiSync LCD1960NXi. I know it's a bit of a mouthful!
Well I got it yesterday, from comet, and I thought the price was alright at £330, but I found that similar ones to it were more cheaper.
As soon as I got home with my big package, opened it up and started unplugging plugs from my very small, dusty, dull grey coloured monitor and switching them. To my flash new screen.
I was anticipating for the moment of when the computer would start up. It finally showed me my user and I was amazed at it's quality. It actually made a difference. I did notice however the colour was just a bit too bright and me spending those nights with my eyes wizzing around on pages on the internet, I needed a less bright colour.
Here was a problem, I found it hard to change the colour with the front control panel. In the end I...

Jump to LCD with NEC
Review of NEC MultiSync 20WGX2Pro by
sexyjw
Advantages: Bright & clear display. Fast update times. Great for photo editing and games!
Disadvantages: Expensive. Fiddly 'stick' control on front panel.
...an enormously wide angle.
The second thing I learnt is that there are four main types of LCD panel:
- TN + Film
- IPS (superceded by Super IPS, or S-IPS)
- MVA
- PVA
I shan't go into the details - suffice to say that if you wish to read more about them, then a quick Google for "Types of LCD panel" will return most of the information you could require. To cut a long story short though, S-IPS is the preferred type of display for photo editing because of it's wide viewing angle.
Before I finally get onto the device itself, it's worth mentioning the last piece of advice that I found, which settled me upon this monitor. Apparently, the best monitors are Eizo. If you can't afford that, go for NEC, Lacie or Apple. (http://www.anands.net/faq/lcd.html)
I wanted to spend enough, but not a small fortune, so the fact that the NEC was an S...

A great monitor for a reasonable price
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD175VXM+ by
pearlywhites
Advantages: supports great range of colour, responsive, easy to install, cheap, 3 year warranty
Disadvantages: speakers could be better
...I was unlucky enough to win a Liyama Pro Lite E2200WS on a competition site, with a RRP of £220 and threw away my old monitor confident that my new one would be head and shoulders in terms of performance. Anoyone who has read that review will now that I thought it was poor to say the least with a wide range of expletives used to describe it. Needless to say it got wanged on Ebay and was sold thankfully for £135 much to my amazement. That left me with £135 to purchase a replacement and this came in the form of the NEC MultiSync LCD175VXM+ for £130 in a stylish silver finish. For £130 you get a 17-inch LCD monitor with digital TN+ film TFT display, slightly smaller than my Liyama but in terms of colour and resolution it beats the pants of it destroying the myth you get what you pay for.
The MultiSync LCD175VXM+ has a slim design so...

Will your NEC't monitor be this one?
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD1560NX by
jamieakers
Advantages: Bright vibrant picture, DVI and VGA inputs
Disadvantages: Very awkward menu system, picky on cables
...I bought my NEC 1560NX second hand off a popular auction site for the knockdown sum of £50. It arrived shortly afterward in brilliant condition, alas without the stand which I shall not review. It is a second monitor, standing alongside an excellent Philips 150S.
On the back of the monitor you have the standard four screw connections for a TFT stand. Easily attach the monitor to a stand you might think. But no, the thread of the screws is slightly different to standard making it difficult to find anything that will fit without cross-threading!
Pleasingly the monitor has both VGA and DVI inputs, meaning you can easily hook it up to a G5 or PC that only provides DVI output. Whether you choose the VGA or DVI option, the picture quality is amazing. The colours are very bright and there is no ghosting or blurring on the pixel...

Best Screen Thing
Review of NEC MultiSync LCD2070VX by
LegendaryMrDude
Advantages: Resolution, Auto-Setup, Response Time, Price
Disadvantages: Doesn't generate as much heat so study is colder!
...be envious of. Of working for several hours without getting rosy cheeks from the rays emitted by my screen. Of not breaking my back when trying to adjust it's 35Kg weight to a slightly more comfortable viewing angle.
I had to get and LCD.
And obviously I did - an NEC MultiSync 2070VX to be precise.
Bearing in mind the screen I'd been using for the last 5 years had been 21" at a resolution of 1600x1200 the bar was pretty much set - anything less would be a significant backward step.
With a single-minded purpose, I set about scouring the interweb for an LCD screen that would provide 1600x1200 resolution at a decent screen size. There is a reasonable range of choices here, with prices starting at about £300 and proceeding to upwards of £600. Starting as close to the £300 end as possible I came across the NEC 2070vx for only £320...
