NEC LT25 Review- A++++
Review of NEC LT25 by
atsstibbs1
Advantages: Crystal clear picture, great resolution, very cost-effective!
Disadvantages: Inputs and configuration, slightly complex.
...the feeling!
Anyway, i did eventually muddle through although the instructions were of little help. Throught the projector i am currently running: Sky TV, an Xbox 360, a laptop and a dvd player.
So, in conclusion, its great but its a little tricky to set up. Nonetheless, A+++++ Well done NEC!
Hope this helps!...

Not the brightest but a reliable projector
Review of NEC MultiSync VT440 by
Plymyphil
Advantages: reliability, price, image quality
Disadvantages: none come to mind
...Thanks in advance for reading this review and for those who have read my recent reviews, I apologise for yet another data projector and promise I only have a couple of these reviews left to do!
First, a background about my use of the NEC VT440, a catchy name I’m sure you’ll agree. I teach in a primary school and we have a number of data projectors serving different purposes around the school. This was our projector of choice for our main hall and was purchased two years ago for marginally over £1000. It is still in service and has what I expect would be ranked as light usage. It is used daily during assemblies and occasionally booked for other activities as it displays onto a screen about eight feet by four feet. The duel data and video inputs on the side of the projector make it useful in a variety of situations within...

a very good attempt at an entry-level projector
Review of NEC VT470 by
sting_of_the_scorpion
Advantages: relatively cheap, good resolution, easy to set up
Disadvantages: not quite bright enough for standard room lighting
...This projector is very simple and easy to operate, if you do not like to have to read a user manual - just remove from the box, connect all the cables and power on. Adjusting the picture size and clarity takes about a minute, after playing around the lens and the menu, so really and truly, you can go from nothing to presentation in a matter of LITERALLY 2 minutes.
If you plan to use this for home theatre or for personal use, then you are going to have to get a dimmer switch on your room's lighting. For standard DVDs, the resolution is very good, but in standard lighting (neon overhead lights on a 10-foot high ceiling) the picture may seem a little washed out. Of course, video is always a little more demanding on your projector system.
Slideshows are flawless in normal light and it is possible to project a picture of a letter sized page...

Sony VPL-CS1 A Projector Well Ahead Of It's Time
Review of Sony VPL CS1 by
taylora-2006
Advantages: 1280 x 1024 Maximum Resolution
Disadvantages: Not designed for ceiling mounting.
...This is a great projector overall. I recognise that this is a fairly old projector and pretty much outdated, but as I work with secondhand electronics, I am seeing this projector becoming more and more popular. If you are looking to buy one secondhand I wouldn't expect you to pay any more than £200 at most.
Please do not be put off by the fact that this projector has a brightness of 600 lumens. It is on par with projectors of around 1500 lumens. Infact, it is far better than most projector of double the brightness (1200 lumens) the projectors that come to mind are Toshiba's, but I'll review some of them later.
I think that this projector is popular for a couple of reasons. One is that it has a max resolution of 1280 X 1024 which is superior than most new projectors and certainly beats any projector in it's price range. The second...

Infocus Lite Pro 425 Projector
Review of InFocus LP 425 by
richard_richard
Advantages: Reliable, good picture quality, easy to use
Disadvantages: Starting to show its age!
...The Infocus Lite Pro 425 is a LCD projector designed to display computer images onto a screen or wall. Its compact size shows that it has been built with portability in mind.
This projector was purchased about 3 years ago by the company I work for. The projector cost about £1400 and at the time and it was a pretty high specification machine.
The projector can display a maximum computer resolution of 800x600 and this is in 24bit colour. Although this is still acceptable, the resolution is perhaps a little low by today’s standards.
For those who are unsure of what an LCD projector does, here’s a brief explanation of what we use it for. The LCD projector is designed to be used with a laptop or desktop computer and is best used to display images onto a white screen. If you are familiar with overhead projectors, (like the ones most of us...

Quality projector, features for the user
Review of Sanyo PLC XU48 by
gs.2003
Advantages: User friendly, Bright and good quality
Disadvantages: A recommended 3 metres from the screen or wall etc
...We have a few of these projectors at our company and I have to say they are one of the easiest digital projectors we have, has we have a selection of philips, epsons and mitsubishi projectors as well.
The main advantages with this projector is the quality and brightness of the image you get. It is clear at the front of the room and just as clear at the back of the room.
The zoom and focus controls are easy to use by anyone without knowledge of digital projectors, which is located at the front.
The menu features are set out in an easy and neat way for anyone to operate, with simple arrow buttons to move around the menus and selection is with the enter key located in the centre of them. There are security options, brightness and zoom features, location options (which basically means that if you fix the projector to the ceiling you can...

Sony VPL-ES2
Review of Sony VPL ES2 by
taylora-2006
Advantages: Motorised Tilt, Auto Setup
Disadvantages: Poor Sound Quality
...The sony VPL-ES2 is a great projector at a bargain price. I wil admit that I think it would struggle with large presentations with only having a 1500 lumen lamp. But for home use and for small scale office presentations this projector is just what you need.
I bought this projector for watching films at home after selling my previous projector due to it being far too noisy. This projector is very different when it is on the sound from it is barely noticeable.
If you've purchased a projector before then you'll know that the most important thing is the bulb life. Because when the bulb goes they can easily cost anywhere upwards from £300-£400. It is often a more economically viable option just to replace the projector. However with this projector you have no reason to worry. The bulb life is a staggering 3000hours and in eco mode...

sharp projector notevision
Review of Sharp Notevision XR-20S by
prettyhalah
Advantages: space saver, saves electrisity, easy to travel
Disadvantages: picture not so brigth with the day ligth
...we purchase projector 6 months ago and are very satisfited with it. picture is very clear and now we can watch tv on the 110" screen. it does not take lot of space but you get image on all wall. projector is great alternative to big screen tv. the time we spend watching the projector has bought us closer and more happy about spending time together. sometimes when we watch the projector we feel as though we are in a live movie theater with all the effects of real live tv. it gives you the feeling of being right there on the set of the movie. I would suggest this as the way of the future for anyone that enjoys fun and a good time spending of comfort....

Toshiba TLP-S30 A Form Over Function Projector
Review of Toshiba TLP S30 by
taylora-2006
Advantages: Looks Great - Very Stylish, Compact & Very Light.
Disadvantages: Not Bright Enough At All
...The Toshiba TLP-S30 Projector
This projector is very aesthetically pleasing, it looks very modern and and the face of it looks to be a great projector.
There are several important factors to look at when considering buying a projector and that is the brightness. This projector boasts a 1400 lumen lamp. For those of you who aren't used to projector terminology, lumens are just a unit for the measure of how bright the bulb in a projector is (and lamp is just the correct term for a projector bulb) Now this isn't an amazing brightness, but the Sanyo PLC-SU20 (just as an example) works comfortably at 1200 lumens and around 1500 lumens is really what somebody new to projectors should probably be looking at.
So the brightness of this projector is good then you woul think. Well actually no; On paper the projector should perform very well...
