Need for speed carbon
Review of Need for Speed Carbon (PC) by  Mudchild

Advantages: Better graphics than it's predessors
Disadvantages: Not as good cop chases, too dark

...Need for speed carbon is the next in the series of street racing and pits you in a new city to take over. It blends many of the ideas from the previous games (most wanted and the undergrounds) and forms a condensed version for you to play through. Gameplay: The gameplay of need for speed carbon is very similar to that of most wanted (the previous game in the series) and the cars all handle in a similar fashion as before: Once you have upgraded your car it will be easier to navigate tracks and outmaneuver the cops. At the start of this game the story picks up as it left off in most wanted. You have left Rockport city and are heading for a new city which you'll predictably have to conquer through various races and boss battles. You are thrown into the story and only given scraps of information and you have to find out more as you... need for speed carbon (pc)
Review of Need for Speed Carbon (PC) by  fergie44

Advantages: auto sculpt feature
Disadvantages: music

...Need For Speed Carbon (age 12+) is the new edition in the Need For Speed range. Carbon is continued it start with you leaving Rockport (the pervious city in NFS Most Wanted.) after your heat level gets too high. In this edition of Need For Speed you and your crew (a team of racers that help you in the game) are battling other street racers of turf, there are many different groups and all battling to win turf and eventually the whole city. This game has by far the best story line yet, you are returning to the city when a bounty hunter spots you and chases you. When he catches you an old friend pays him of leaving you in his debt, you set off in order to win over the city and clear your name. As you get further into the game the story unwinds and takes a surprising twist. The familiar routine of winning races in order to gain... Read review

Ultimate guide for Need For Speed: Carbon
Review of Need For Speed Carbon (PS2) by  ingamells

Advantages: Great graphics, really good fun
Disadvantages: Short Lifespan

...This is my very first review on Ciao, so I hope that you will enjoy reading about this great game!!!! Gameplay The Gameplay in this game is as advanced as it has ever been in the Need for Speed series. Everything about the game is so fluid, and smooth, it is sometimes hard to believe that you are playing on a current- gen console!!! Graphics The graphics, are as I like to put it "Truly Beans!" If you don't understand my lingo, this means that the graphics are absolutely amazing!!! The graphics really look like that they are being played on a Next Gen console, and if they can get the graphics this good on the PS2, I really cannot wait for the next Need For Speed game on the PS3 or the Xbox 360. Sound This is where the game is let down. I really think that when the game is first switched on, it really sounds good, but after... Read review

Need for Speed Carbon (PS2)
Review of Need For Speed Carbon (PS2) by  gaming123

Advantages: Customisation, police chasing
Disadvantages: Short lifespan, and poor music choice

...Not the best game i have ever played, there are obvious disadvantages: Poor music, lifespan far to short (can be completed in one day if you are an experienced player. There are also good points to the game, briliant choice of parts for your car and the best graphics yet seen on a Need for Speed. There is also a great choice of car especially if you have the collectors edition, police chases are now more realistic, with the car speed greatly increased and the adition of lots of pursuit breakers and shortcuts. However there is an added difficulty becuase all of the cars especially the muscle type are easy to roll so it is very aggravating when you get busted upside down! The new feature of bringing a wingman into a race with yu is also very annoying becuase more often than not they will get in your way and lose you the race. All in all... Read review

An great new game from the need for speed series!
Review of Need For Speed Carbon (PS2) by  S.Utting

Advantages: Exceptional FMV sequences, loads of customization and a good solid core gameplay
Disadvantages: Frustrating boss battles and much weaker police chases

...For those among you who have played need for speed most wanted will know the story, but for those who haven't here is a quick overview of the ending: Most wanted ended with you recovering your stolen car from sgt. Cross and bailing out of the city, while sgt. Cross is hot on your tail. Now, carbon picks up where most wanted finished off. You are making your way to Palmont city when Cross (now a bounty hunter) finally catches up with you and totals your car, but just before he collects his bounty for catching you, your old friend Darius catches up with you and pays Cross off. Now you have to try and take over turf in Palmont, but it seems you have a history in the town… (I won't ruin the plot for you now, as it would ruin your gaming experience). Wile most wanted had you racing the most notorious racers in Rockport to climb up... Read review

NFS Carbon does it live up to its name?
Review of Need For Speed Carbon (PS2) by  chriscowper

Advantages: Quite addictive
Disadvantages: Too short, one annoyingly difficult race

...Need for speed carbon is a great street racing game. It is not the best of the need for speed collection, however it is very good as the graphics are excellent and the music choice is ok. One thing need for speed carbon does have is autosculpt which is a revolutionary way of sculpting your car in various ways, if you know how to use it as it is very difficult, annoying and frustrating. The overall game is quite good as the police are still chasing you and the races are about the same difficulty as need for speed most wanted. The idea of carbon is to choose a tier of car whether it be muscle, tuner or exotic, and then win races and take over other peoples territory and therefore dominating the map. There are four "bosses", Angie, Kenji, Wolf and Darius. Darius is the leader of the whole map and controls every aspect of races, money... Read review

NFS: Carbon - Good, but not good enough!
Review of Need For Speed Carbon (Xbox 360) by  ElBoom

Advantages: New Features, Cool Graphics, Plenty of Customisation
Disadvantages: Too Short, Predictable Storyline, Low Value For Money.

...After some persuasion from my friend I have decided to join Ciao again. Sorry if my reviewing skills are a little rusty :P ++Need For Speed: Carbon - Overview++ NFS: Carbon is the next game in the popular award winning series from EA games. Again, like its Predecessor (Most Wanted) its full of street racing action fuelled by a whole lot of nitrous! There are quite a few changes from the NFS: Most Wanted; Drifting, Canyon Races, AutoSculpt and more! I'll explain these as the review goes along. ++Originality++ Carbon has had changes and improvements made from the previous game. For example, there is more choice of game modes which include: + Canyon Duels - Race down canyons! + Drift Races - Drift round corners and rack up the biggest score. + Pursuit Tag (Xbox Live Only) - Cops vs. Racer. + Race Wars - 20-car Race. New... Read review

Cracking Carbon
Review of Need For Speed Carbon (Xbox 360) by  rhyrhy1

Advantages: Great Graphics, Excellent car selection
Disadvantages: Very similar to previous ones, simple storyline

...There have so far been 14 Need for Speed installments over the last 13 years. Need for Speed (NFS) is a series of racing video games by Electronic Arts, released on most platforms The games consist mainly of racing with various cars on various tracks, and to some extent, include police pursuits in races. One of the most important parts of the game is now customization of your car Need for Speed: Carbon is the latest title for the Need for Speed series. Nighttime racing and drift races have returned. The types of cars are varied now and are mainly sorted into the groups that follow, compact cars and sports cars associated with import culture, American muscle cars, and supercars. Carbon now has the ability to form your own crew of wingmen who you use in races. The prologue to the beginning of the Career Mode, starts out... Read review
