...~~~Neff built in oven U1442~~~ We refitted our kitchen this time last year so I'm reviewing the items we carefully selected. Our previous kitchen was very basic but we'd saved quite a few penny's so spent a lot of time researching on what gadgets we could have to make our kitchen truly amazing. Our previous oven was a double free gas standing oven which was well past its sell by date! so we opted to buy a built in electric double oven. ~Cost: In total our oven cost £779 which was pretty expensive compared to some of the similar models but we did quite a lot of research and was very pleased with the reviews on this and other Neff models. Neff is a reputable company which is also part of the Bosch and Siemens home appliances groups (so we did check all makes because interestingly the parts are supplied by the same company but the prices...

Advantages: stylish, inexpensive, functional and practical
Disadvantages: maybe a bit noisy

I solicited some reviews from my colleagues about 2nd level appliance manufacturers and Neff came out as one. 1st level in my opinion - bosch, whirlpool, hotpoint, zanussi 2nd level - neff, smeg 3rd level - miele, fischer/paykel Having never heard of Neff before I duly ordered the integrated appliance brochures and was amazed at the style, functionality and practicality of their products. I selected this hood because I have a small space and the theme was silver, contemporary . It is very stylish and has 2 halogen lights, more than sufficient for the space it covers. Electric Knights

Advantages: A fine work by the Deathstars
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little formulaic

...it's quite slow in tempo, but it's certainly got me trying to move in time as I listen. It glides along to a faster finish. A most satisfying start to the album. 7/10 2. "Night Electric Night" The second song is faster in tempo, although does alternate between faster and slower sections building up to a fast finish, which is something I demand and appreciate from the Deathstars. I love the finish of this. It also satisfies and makes me chair-dance. 7/10 3. "Death Dies Hard" I will deny you This world belongs to me This is apparently the first single from the album. It seems a pretty solid choice. To me, it feels like a James Bond theme, and the title certainly sounds Bond-ish. I like it. The keyboards remind me of a-ha, too. ...What a find! There aren't many really large integrated fridges on the market but extensive research kept bringing this one up as the best and my experience so far confirms my research. It doesn't fail on the main reason for buying it - space. It has excellent capacity with superb door storage. The vegetable drawers are large and keep everything amazingly fresh. The split shelf is an ingenious idea and the tube holder (for garlic puree/tomato puree etc.) a nice extra touch. There are 2 egg holders for 6 eggs each but because the door shelves/storage are curved you wont fit both on one shelf. (Not really a problem though as ample room for everything anyway) Its extremely quiet,well made and with the Neff reputation for quality, its perfect. Although quite expensive its well worth the money. I've put this review on to save you going insane...

...The British government recently announced that from 2011 they would contribute up to £5000 towards purchasing one of the new generation of electric vehicles that will become available. Is this a generous offer from a proactive government serious about climate change or a move from a desperate bunch of politicians? On face value it looks quite good but there are numerous questions that have been unanswered & throw doubt on their offer. They chose an unusual time to announce it, two days before a rather grim budget; surely it would have made more impact on budget day. Cynics would say they chose two days before the budget to divert attention away from the Damien Green nasty emails affair & the constant press attention to MP?s expenses. I have little time or respect for modern day politicians & tend to agree with the latter assumption...

Neff microwave oven combi

Advantages: Very flexible usage; looks good
Disadvantages: Wattage doesn't match standard microwave meals

...We purchased this to supplement a Neff single oven so that we could grill at the same time as cooking in the oven. This was a constant source of frustration with our old single oven. This combination microwave has been a revelation - it has 5 microwave wattage settings varying from 90 up to 1000 watts. The only downside being that if you are doing microwave meals they are typically cooked at around 800 watts - most counter top microwaves are around this wattage. The closest this microwave gets to the 800 watt mark is 650. The highest wattage of 1000 is only suitable for heating up liquids and not food. Having said that, the flexibility that this machine offers is amazing - it operates as an oven and a grill in its own right. However, where it comes into its own is the ability to combine microwave cooking with the oven facility...

...with a single click the provided power adapter and plug to the inobtrusive socket at the side of the blanket - which is well out of the way of the sleeping area of the bed. The cable is quite long and would reach a power point in the wall directly behind the bed with no problems. The fleecy feel of the blanket is pleasant, but those with sensitive skin like me will probably find it best to put a normal fitted bottom sheet over the electric blanket for total comfort. Operational functions: Once the blanket is fitted according to the booklet it only took a couple of minutes to figure out the operating instructions. The control switch is situated in an easy to grip plastic console about 30cms away from the connection to the blanket. A HUGE advantage as it means you can just reach one sleepy arm out of bed, grab the console and switch on...
