Reviews of neff hob
Mr Peel
Review of Neff B1421 by
thelemming
Advantages: nil
Disadvantages: were do you want me to start
...I'll make this short as I can, because this is a really dull subject but NEFF customer services need a kick up the a***.
I have three NEFF products the usual ensemble, hob/oven/hood. I recently had a problem with poor quality production that caused the stainless steel facia on the hood to detach. OK these things happen that's life etc so what?
When I approached Neff for a replacement (or fix) I was asked for my appliance ENR AND FD number, all well and good but I work (which is why I can afford the products) and the numbers weren't handy. No problems I thought I registered my appliances for the extended 2 year warranty so Neff already have the numbers so with my address they will be able to cross reference and problem solved. How wrong could I be?
The warranty database is NOT connected, crossed referenced or copied across...

It works how?
Review of NEFF T 4343 NO by
reg1971
Advantages: stylish unobtrusive design
Disadvantages: exploding pans
...NEFF induction Hob
Firstly you should realise you may have to change all your pans!
Cast iron is fine as is iron and certain stainless steels.
We have been using this hob for nearly 2 years and have had no problems with it in that time. It was simple to fit and was working in about 20 minutes. Touch sensitive controls are excellent though on occassion you may inadvertantly turn rings on by brushing your finger past.
The hob induces heat into the pan instantly. I have demonstrated to friends by placing a baking tray on the hob switching it on and in a bout 10 seconds the tray is glowing red hot, removing it with a cloth and placing my hand flat on the hob where it was. It still amazes me everyday how it works.
Practically it is very simple to use, it cleans very easily and looks stunning.
On the downside apart from new pans! it has...

keep your hob shiny and brite!
Review of Hob Brite by
muppetlady
Advantages: Hob brite last's ages
Disadvantages: none that i can think of
...Hob brite is a cream cleaner with conditioners, for ceramic and halogen hobs.
I've been using this for the past two years and found it to be very good,
Hob brite is recommended by belling, creda, neff, tricity bendix, zanussi, rangemaster, beaumatic, stoves and De Dietrich.
It's very easy to use, pour a small amount on a cloth or tissue, don't over do it you really do only need a small amount, you'll be there for hours rinsing otherwise.
Wipe glass lightly and rinse.
I use a non-scratch scourer to get the burnt on bits off, Hob brite recommend you use the homecare razor scraper, unfortunately I lost mine!
Do not use on a hot hob, It dries intantly, I use it on a cold hob and have found it works better this way.
Hob Brite contains-
Less than 30% inert meneral filler
Less than 5% none ionic surfactant
food grade acid
flowing agent...

Neff microwave oven combi
Review of Neff H5972 S/S by
furryjen78
Advantages: Very flexible usage; looks good
Disadvantages: Wattage doesn't match standard microwave meals
...We purchased this to supplement a Neff single oven so that we could grill at the same time as cooking in the oven. This was a constant source of frustration with our old single oven. This combination microwave has been a revelation - it has 5 microwave wattage settings varying from 90 up to 1000 watts. The only downside being that if you are doing microwave meals they are typically cooked at around 800 watts - most counter top microwaves are around this wattage. The closest this microwave gets to the 800 watt mark is 650. The highest wattage of 1000 is only suitable for heating up liquids and not food.
Having said that, the flexibility that this machine offers is amazing - it operates as an oven and a grill in its own right. However, where it comes into its own is the ability to combine microwave cooking with the oven facility...

What can I say about a gas hob?
Review of Neff T2164NOEU Gas Hobs by
Muddy250
Advantages: Lights first time. Powerful wok burner, easy to clean
Disadvantages: wok burner doesn't fit my wok!
...Well, having reviewed our new oven and whilst waiting for the new product dept at Ciao to set up a link so I can praise the company we bought it from I thought I'd do the hob as well.
It's a Neff (to match the oven) T2164 and cost £131.49 Not quite the bottom end of the Neff range. The Neff name is synonymous with quality, our last hob was still working well apart from a little dificulty in lighting it largely due to a build up of muck, after 16 years.
The new version is black enamel and looks too clean to use in comparison to our old one. It fitted right into the hole left by the old one, which was nice! (Another good reason for buying the same make again)
The knobs are arranged along the right hand side, easily accesible and out of reach if you have small children, a useful feature as this hob does NOT feature a flame failure device...

Lovely Hob Knobs.
Review of Neff T2346 by
susie191
Advantages: Easy to clean, good range of burner sizes, smart.
Disadvantages: None.
...). It would be great for melting chocolate (but I use the microwave for that!), making sauces and slow boiling.
The burners are neat and simply lift off for cleaning. They are very easy to reposition too.
****Ease of Use****
Unlike our Neff microwave, there was no need to refer to the manual to be able to use the hob. It is brilliantly easy to use. You just press down the required Hob Knob, turn to the left and hold down for a few seconds until the ignition lights the flame. Once lit, the flame can be adjusted very easily.
The only concern that niggles me is whether the plastic strip at the front could melt if something ultra hot got spilt on it. After 18 months use though, it looks spanking.
The hob is also easy to clean. My previous gas hob was part of a combined cooker. It was horrendous to clean and it never looked good even after a good...

Sparkly glass, my ass?
Review of Hob Brite by
Ali1000
Advantages: Cheap, removes burnt-on deposits, gives a great surface shine
Disadvantages: Need to be careful not to mix with bleach
...scraping off the deposits with a cut-throat razor. Even this left the odd scratch.
Then I had the good sense to phone Neff, the manufacturer of my hob, and they recommended that I buy a specialist cleaner, Hob Brite. Fortunately, it is sold in my local Tesco, so there was no bother obtaining a bottle.
PACKAGING AND PRICE
Hob Brite comes in a bright orange bottle with a flip-top lid. On the front of the bottle, under the product name, it says "RECOMMENDED BY: Belling, Creda, Tricity Bendix, Stoves, Zanussi, De Dietrich, Neff, Baumatic and Rangemaster". Well, I can vouch for one of those! 300ml costs £1.39.
USING THE PRODUCT
The actual cleaning fluid is a chalky white colour, which is fairly runny - slightly runnier than other cream cleaners that I have used (obviously, less runny than water, but not as viscous as, say, washing up liquid...

Extract at a rate of knots
Review of NEFF D 91 M 5 N0 by
furryjen78
Advantages: Easy to fit; easy to operate; good aesthetics
Disadvantages: Very expensive
...We purchased this alongside a range of other Neff appliances when we did our kitchen recently. This was the single most expensive appliance in the kitchen - which is a shame because it is probably the least used!! HOWEVER...having an island hob that is finally now in action this cooker hood is INVALUABLE!
The fitting of this was amazingly easy (that seems to be a feature in a lot of Neff appliances) and although it took two of us it was essentially self supporting whilst the hood was screwed to the chimney. The only word of caution is that we were very lucky in that it fitted exactly onto two joists - if you aren't as lucky you'll fing yourselves having to put timber noggins in to support the hood. Believe me, given the weight of it I'm glad we've got a secure fixing! Amazingly the whole thing is supported by four bolts (granted...

Does the job
Review of Neff T2764/2766 by
dude_dal
Advantages: Durable, Looks nice
Disadvantages: Knobs
...I bought this kitchen hob as part of my new kitchen a few months ago and installation was a simple and pleasing process, as i would expect from perhaps all hobs. The central burner is extremely useful, especially for me as i come from an indian family we cook chappatis every day. Also it is useful for deep frying chips or whatever have you. The only downside to this however is the fact that when you do put something to cook on the central flame, this leaves the rest of the burners little room. It really can be a pain sometimes!
Another downside to this product is the fact that unlike most hobs u may find, the knobs on the burners actually turn anticlockwise rather than clockwise. I dont use the hob much as im not the one who does most of the cooking, however, almost each time i do use i forget which way to turn it because i am so used...

Kitchens direct a rip off
Review of Kitchens Direct by
smegal
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: overpriced, push sales men
...My father had recommended Kitchens Direct to us. He said they were reasonble at the time (1998). He got 36 units for about 5 K. I got 12 Units for £6668. The total cost would have been 8k, but I decided to buy the double oven through the internet. For this price, I didn't get a single appliance. The neff hob worth £500 was apparently free.
The sales rep was really pressurizing us to give a deposit on the spot or we would miss out on the £500 neff hob . He kept saying that Kitchens Direct doesn't compare to the likes of B& Q and Wickes. He claimed that they have half price sales all the time. Then he mentioned that the customer was unaware of the extra hidden charges associated with half prices kitchens. He said that another reason why we should buy from kitchens direct was the service aspect. The sales rep insisted that the service...
