...I have not had a TV for last 4years! Can you believe this? Last week I have finally decided to get one. Since my bed-sit has not much of a space for a standrd size TV, I had to look for something that would fit onto my study table where I keep my laptop, CD player, phone and Homechoice Internet-Digital TV-Phone Box that requires a SCART socket in order to be compatible with TV... so.... Review of Mikomi 15 LCD 250

Onn 15in LCD/DVD Combi

Advantages: Cheap and comes with built in DVD player
Disadvantages: Picture Quality is poor if not angled properly

...I have owned the Onn 15 inch LCD, DVD combi for just over a year. The Onn brand is an Asda supermarket own brand product range. The tv works well and has its own stand attached to it which can be angle. The major problem with Onn is that to have a good picture quality you have to be looking directly at the screen, ie the screen is perpendicular to your vision, if the screen is viewed at an angle the picture quality is very poor. Because I have a low to the floor bed and my tv sits on the chester drawers I have to angle it downward using a book propped underneath the stand so that its in line with my vision. I can say that once the angle is correct the picture quality is good. AG Neovo strike again!

Advantages: Extremely good value for money, DVI input, lighweight, looks and quality
Disadvantages: Usual TFT disadvantaes against CRTs (refresh rate etc)

...recognised and set itself up with my 6600GT. Let the testing begin! Being quite a big games fan I was worried that the average response time of 12ms (15ms/10ms on the website) would let me down quite a lot. However, I was not disappointed. All my games ran beautifully and looked FANTASTIC on the screen. This even included Quake 4 and Half life 2 which were probably let down more by my graphics card than the monitor. The 170 degree viewing angle is also useful. My mates often come into my room to watch DVD's as the only DVD player we have is on my computer. I don't believe there has ever been a problem with lighting or fading whilst watching any films. So on to general use. So far there are no dead pixels - always a bonuse. This was something I was also quite worried about. You always hear scare stories of having 2 or 3 dead pixels...
