...Last week, my father had the chance to buy a new monitor for a system he was building. While installing the OS / Driver software for the newly built computer, I got the chance to assemble and try out the Neovo F 17 model flat screen TFT monitor. Having only used CRT's in my lifetime, I was unsure of what to expect with this flat screened TFT model prior to opening its box. I'd heard much about them, notably the notoriously high prices and the danger of dead pixels. Despite the ongoing critique I'd heard from various sources, I became confident of the monitors ability upon opening its box. Inside was the screen itself, plus a small instruction booklet and the monitor's stand, plus the monitors video cable, and its power cable. neovo f-17 does the job!

Advantages: flatscreen, looks good
Disadvantages: a bit outdated now?

...straightforward and simple to understand. If you have any difficulty in understanding some or all of the menu functions and settings the small booklet provided explains it all quite fluently. PRICES & AVAILABILITY I looked on the net, but i can't seem to find this monitor for less than $349. I don't know where my dad got this from, but i know it was bought at £199. So, I think that the price is about the same now. There are a lot of computing sites offering this product, just type in neovo f-17 in yahoo and follow the links. OVERALL The monitor is quite cheap compared to other flatscreens. It is versatile and robust. You can't really complain with this thing, but i'm sure you could pick up a better monitor, just not as cheap....

AG Neovo strike again!

Advantages: Extremely good value for money, DVI input, lighweight, looks and quality
Disadvantages: Usual TFT disadvantaes against CRTs (refresh rate etc)

...This monitor was my first step into the TFT World. Being a University student I have little money for new things and this was my first big buy for a while. My original problem was that I gained a new PC desk from a friend and my 17inch CRT just wouldn't fit in it as it was one of those enclosed types. So I began my search for my first ever TFT, thinking I would have to skimp on performance, image size or quality. However, within a couple of days I found this monitor. I couldn't believe my luck. At under £200 it was perfect! Ordering was not a problem and the monitor arrived within just a couple of days. Setup was easier than I imagined and my old mointor was thrown into the skip. Pocket sized portability with the Asus Eee Pc 701

The Old Computer's Tale

Advantages: On a cold day it was nice and warm in the store.
