Advantages: Quick to make a cup or mug of coffee.
Disadvantages: Bitter taste.

...Nescafe Original is something that I have to admit I have gone back to even after purchasing a coffee machine! I still use the machine but for super quick coffee on the move you can't beat Nescafe Original, even though it does leave a bitter after taste. The jar of coffee I have is made of glass with a brown plastic top screw top lid. The jar contains 100g of instant coffee granules. There is a predominantly brown label on the front and back of the jar. The front label boasts that the coffee is rich and full flavoured (we will put that to the test later) and that the coffee is naturally rich in antioxidants (this I find interesting). The front label also depicts a large hot steaming mug of coffee sat on top of a scattering of coffee beans. Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Taste compared to other brands

...During a recent shopping trip I reached for my staple coffee brand of Douwe Egberts, only to notice that Nescafe Gold Blend happened to be on sale, so in the basket it went. The first thing I need to point out was that it was great value for money. It was approximately half the price of the Douwe Egberts, but then it won't always be on sale. In my opinion the taste wasn't too bad, but clearly was not up to the standards of my usual cuppa. I found it was relatively weak tasting, and was not as smooth.I thought it was quite bland, it had little depth and flavour. Overall I found the Nescafe Gold Blend O.K, but it ceretainly will not replace the Douwe Egberts in my house....

Nescafe Gold Blend - Simply the Best!

...a foil seal which i usually break with the teaspoon, the moment you break this the fresh smell of aromatic coffee just comes pouring out and really wants to make you get the kettle on!. I have never experienced this with any other brand of coffee. Even the bigish brands such as Kenco don't give off such a sensational smell, they actually smell quite dull. I Prefer Nescafé black rather than with milk, not as much sugar is required either because it isn't really that bitter unlike most coffee's, but it does taste really creamy if you make it with pure milk and no water. A major thing about Nescafé is the wide range of jar/tin sizes available. I think there are 7 or 8 in total ranging from a trial sized jar costing around 45p (ideal if you want to try Nescafé for the first time) to the giant 1kg tin costing about £14. ...As I have reviewed Nescafe FineBlend and in that review mentioned I drink the original, here my review of Nescafe Original. Once again I am reviewing the coffee in general but the jar I have is the 100g. Oh no not another one to add to the list that is already there ! - I hear you say.
