Nestle Rolo, a sweet treat

...Would I give you my last one? No, Not on your nellie!! I always think that a packet of Rolo`s works out quite expensive at around 50p a throw. Maybe Nestles see them as being labour intensive so they can justify the price. BOGOF in the supermarkets or a multipack that are near to their sell by date in our local discount store is the only way that any Rolo`s find their way through my front door. The Other Half loves them, he opens the packet and just feeds them into his mouth one after another, using his mouth like a postbox! This is where we differ, he likes them straight out of the packet and warm, I like them well chilled (no ice ) so that they need working on. If the chocolate doesn't present any challenge in the sucking department then it can be a bit boring. I'm going to have a guess here and say that a tube of Rolo...

Nestles After Eight, or at anytime

...Tradition is very hard to ignore and each year there are some traditions that we all follow religiously classing it as almost irreverent to do otherwise. Without fail at the beginning of every December we all flock to the supermarkets in our droves to buy the celebratory goodies that we MUST have, in case an unexpected visitor should turn up at the front door and demand that hazelnut whirl that we inadvertently forgot to buy. So traditionally our cupboard should harbour at least one tin of Cadburys Roses or Nestle Quality Street, a family sized bag of KP Salted nuts, a box of Eat Me Dates, a box of Jacobs Cheeselets, a net of mixed nuts with shells intact and don?t ever forget to pick up the box of After Eight mints, a tradition in themselves. A Bueno Offering from Nestle

Advantages: Great chocolate/wafer/hazelnut combination
Disadvantages: Unsatisfying, expensive and not different enough

...I've long been a fan of hazelnut praline and, to me the combination of hazelnut and crisp wafer is hard to beat as a light yet indulgent snack. For years the only way to experience this combination in the UK seemed to be at Italian coffee shops where hazelnut wafers were sold with coffees. Then, Kinder Bueno came onto the scene - a twin finger snack that was decidedly more chocolaty than the coffee shop offerings. I did, however, find Bueno rather unsatisfying (and pricey). ...Nestle Breakaway I have been trying not to over buy too much stuff when doing the food shopping for the past few weeks as we have been waiting on a day for us to move into our new house. Advantages: Taste as good as before, free from artificial colours, cheap to buy
Disadvantages: Packaging is not as fun as it used to be

Personally as I'm a girlie girl pink was always my favourite, and although all the Smarties taste the same, I used to stay away from 'boy' colours like green and blue, which my mum was thankful for!! ...I came across Nestle Rolo Caramel & Cream sweets a couple of weeks ago when i was buying my paper and milk in the morning. Im not sure whether these are a limited edition or even a secret as i have only ever seen them in one shop. I have tried searches on the internet with no result and even when i did a search on nestle's website it returned a blank. Anyway i bought a packet of these chocolate sweets just for research purposes honestly. They cost me 45p for a packet which is round about normal i reckon. ...I bought Nestle?s Coffee Mate Original about a month ago in Sainsbury's. I use it regularly but today is the day when I have enough time to write a review about it. I wanted to bake Hokkaido milk-loaf and I needed some milk powder in it. I was wondering which brand to choose, but as I trust Nestle products I decided to buy this one. At the end of my review I will share the recipe of this wonderful milk-loaf. Unfortunately I have no photos, but next time I bake it I will make some photos and I?ll enclose. So back to this great product, I tried it in coffee as well. It has very nice texture. Some of the milk powders collect moisture from the air and become sticky. This won?t happen to Coffee Mate, or at least not in a month. I use it when I bake buns, so I open the tub 2-3 times a day. It is still perfect. It has no smell at all...

...Nestle Fab Ice Lollies Summer si nearly here and it really is beginning to get hot. In this heat there is nothing I like more than to be able to suck on something ice cold to chill me outside and inside. Nestle Fab ice lollies are the perfect thing for this particular craving and I must go through a good couple of dozen every summer. I tend to buy the multi packets from Tesco or Morrison's when I do my shopping but if I am out for an afternoon stroll I may be persuaded to buy myself a single ice-lolly from the shop.
